Objective To investigate the expression of thanatos-associated protein-8 (THAP-8) in ovarian cancer tissue,and explore its clinical significance.Methods A total of 86 patients with ovarian cancer were enrolled.The gene and protein expression of THAP-8 of the ovarian cancer tissue and adjacent tissue were detected by fluorescent quantitation polymerase chain reaction and immunohistochemistry.Results The gene expressions of THAP-8 of ovarian cancer tissue and adjacent tissue were 0.304 ± 0.104 and 0.615 ± 0.152.The protein expressions of THAP-8 in ovarian cancer tissue and adjacent tissue were 30.16 ± 12.34 and 67.34 ± 22.37.The gene and protein expressions of THAP-8 in ovarian cancer tissue were significantly lower than those in adjacent tissue (P＜ 0.01).The gene and protein expressions of THAP-8 in the low and middle degree of tumor differentiation of ovarian cancer tissue were significantly lower than those of the high degree of tumor differentiation of ovarian cancer tissue (0.216 ±0.085 vs.0.457 ±0.124 and 24.22 ± 9.21 vs.46.24 ± 17.52,P ＜ 0.01 or ＜ 0.05).The gene and protein expressions of THAP-8 in lymph node metastasis of ovarian cancer tissue were significantly lower than those of no lymph node metastasis of ovarian cancer tissue (0.247 ± 0.087 vs.0.476 ± 0.133 and 23.44 ± 8.57 vs.49.60 ± 18.35,P ＜ 0.01 or ＜0.05).The gene and protein expressions of THAP-8 in clinical TNM pathologic Ⅲ,Ⅳ stage of ovarian cancer tissue were significantly lower than those of Ⅰ,Ⅱ stage of ovarian cancer tissue (0.232 ± 0.114 vs.0.424 ±0.125 and 25.64 ±8.12 vs.44.78 ± 16.84,P ＜0.05).Conclusions The downregulation-expression of THAP-8 has a closed relationship with the development of ovarian cancer.The THAP-8 might be used as a potential marker to assess the degree of rumor grade and prognosis in ovarian cancer.

Objective To explore clinical features of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) after allogeneic non-myeloablative stem cell transplantation (NST) for haematologic diseases.Methods Eighteen patients were divided into three groups. Group A: Six severe aplastic anemia (SAA) adult patients underwent unrelated umbilical cord blood transplantation (UCBT). Group B: Combined transplantation of G-CSF primed allogeneic bone marrow and peripheral blood stem cells (PBSCs) was performed for 5 SAA patients. Group C: Seven malignant haematologic patients underwent transplantation of bone marrow cells for 3 patients or PBSCs for 4 patients. The protocol consisted of nonmyeloablative conditioning regimens based on anti-themocyte globulin (ATG) or anti-T-lymphocyte globulin (ALG). GVHD prophylaxis consisted of cyclosprine (CSA) and methylprednisolone (MP) for groups A and B, and methotrexate and CSA for group C. Mixed chimerism (MC) patients in group C were subjected to donor lymphocyte infusion (DLI).Results Four patients in group A achieved and sustained MC status, among them, one patient died of fungal septemia and one patient left hospital voluntarily. Three patients in group B achieved short period MC with donor chimerism more than 94 % at early stage post transplantation and converted into full donor chimerism (FDC) with long-term disease-free survival (DFS) and one patient developed chronic GVHD (cGVHD) 8 month post- trasplantation . Another two patients receiving donor stem cell infusion (DSI), one died of secondary mediastina lymphoma after 6 months and one patient recovered haematopoiesis. All patients achieved MC with haematologic partial remission (PR), and did not complicated acute GVHD (aGVHD) prior to DLI. Two cases died of severe infection and lost follow-up respectively. Another 5 patients gradually converted into FDC and achieved haematologic complete remission after 4, 3, 7, 5 and 4 DLIs, but they developed cGVHD (n=4), aGVHD (n=2) and myelosurppression (n=2).Conclusion The treatment of NST for SAA patients achieved better clinical effect with lower incidence of GVHD, and characterized by lower incidence of aGVHD and early mortality and higher incidence of cGVHD and infection for malignant haematologic diseases.

[Objective]To investigate the long-term result of total hip replacement with a Ribbed hydroxyapatite-coated proximally femoral stem and cup component.[Method]From June 1999 to May 2002,24 cases (26 hips) with hip joint disease received cementless total hip replacement with a Ribbed hydroxyapatite-coated proximally femoral stem and cup component. There were 14 males and 10 females with the average age of 59.4 years. The disorders included avascular necrosis of the femoral head in 13 cases,femoral neck fractures in 9 cases,hip dysplasia in 2 cases. X-ray scans were recorded at 7~10 days,6 month,and every 1 year after operation respectively. Harris score was evaluated at last follow-up for hip joint function evaluation.[Result]According to Harris evaluation,16 cases (18 hips) received 85-100 points,8 cases (8 hips) received 75-84 points. Mild thigh pain happed in 1 case. Slight bone absorption was found in 1 case. No case needed second revision. Six month-3 year postoperative X-ray showed bone absorption in Gruen zone 5,6 and 2,3 near HA coating in 1 case (1 hip). Bone density increase was found in both cancellous and cortical bone,which revealed good prosthesis-bone fixation.[Conclusion]A Ribbed proximally hydroxyapatite-coated femoral stem and cup implant are able to enhance the initial fixation of implants,to accelerate bone in-growth and osseous fixation of the femoral stem and cup component,to seal the interface between the implant and osseous,and to prevent ingress of polyethylene particles which lead to thigh pain and bone absorption. It has showed good long-term results.

Objective To investigate the effect of asphyxia on newborn's gastric myoelectrical activity by electrogastrography (EGG). Methods Twenty four asphyxia newborns (mild and severe type) and 15 normal newborns were enrolled. Electrogastric activity were recorded by a Portable EGG. The recording were performed 30 minutes before and after feeding respectively Results Compared with normal control,bradygastria (4 cpm) increased significantly ( P 0.01). Conclusions (1)By the help of EGG, we can get information about gastric myoelectrical activity in neonatal asphyxia.(2)Bradygastria is more prominent before feeding in mild asphyxia group; Slow wave is decreased in severe asphyxia group than that of control and mild asphyxia, but tachygastria increases significantly. This kind of abnormal electrogastric rhythm may contribute to feeding difficulty, abdominal distension and vomiting in asphyxia newborns.

Objective:To study the relationship between graduate students'personalities, life events and psychic symptom.Methods:828 graduate students in Tianjin were investigated, their psychosomatic symptoms were rated with SCL-90 and psychosocial factors were assessed with Cattell 16 Personality Factors Questionnaire and Life Event Scale.Result:The first three factors in the psychosomatic symptoms were displayed in order: Obsession-compulsion(0.67?0.55), Interpersonal sensitivity (0.61?0.56), and Depression(0.50?0.51).The personalities were revealed as follows: E (6.23?1.69) , F(6.23?1.80) and Q 4(6.12?1.10), these factors were higher than Chinese norm, L (3.82?1.62), O (4.64?1.70) and I (4.86?1.62) were lower than norm.Conclusion:Male, having siblings, engineer and negative scores of work and study are risk factors for psychosomatic symptoms, whereas medical staff is a protective one.

Along with China acceding to WTO, the grandness of international natural drug market and its accepting of Chinese materia medica (CMM), CMM industrialization in China gets the opportunity growing quickly. But it is faced with many challenges from all over the world.This article introduces the theory of industria-lization competitiveness, which was put forward by Pro. Michael E. Porter, Harvard University, and applied “diamond model” theory to evaluating the international competitiveness of the CMM industrialization of China. The analysis will provide the base for establishing the strategy for the development of the CMM industrialization in China and upgrading its international competitiveness.

Objective To discuss the application effects of CBI teaching method in medical English Teaching of respiration medicine. Methods Dividing 120 students of Grade 2009 in Jining Medical College into two groups including control group (60) and experimental group (60). The tradi-tional teaching method was adopted in the control group and CBI teaching method was adopted in the experimental group. After finishing the courses, medical professional English level test and standard-ized patients test were applied in the two groups. Students' English studying interests and autonomous English learning ability were also investigated by questionnalres. SPSS 17.0 software was used for sta-tistical analysis, and the data were processed by t test and 字2 test, with the level of a test equal to 0.05. Results The medical professional English level test scores, standardized patients test scores and the total average scores of autonomous English learning ability in experimental group were respectively [(81.97±4.91), (80.33±5.85), (3.88±0.38)], and they were significantly higher than those in the control group [(70.40±4.78), (70.48± 4.79), (2.98±0.26), with P values below 0.01]. Satisfaction degrees in the improvement of learning motivation, learning time, learning method, learning attitude and dealing with study difficulties in experimental group were better than those of control group (χ2=13.084, 8.000, 13.297, 11.627, 13.374, P=0.000). Conclusion CBI teaching method is better than traditional teaching method and it transfers English learning into the learning of professional knowledge and skills of respiratory medicine, stirs the interests of students, improves their autonomous English learning ability and strengthens their abilities to learn and apply English language.

Objective To study lymph node metastasis in early gastric carcinoma. Methods From July 2001 to July 2007, 177 patients with early gastric carcinoma underwent radical gastrectomy and the clinicopathologic data were analyzed by binary logistic regression. Results The overall rate of lymph node metastasis in early gastric carcinoma was 13%, involving 13% and 3% in level I (NI) and level Ⅱlymph nodes (N2), respectively. The rate of lymph node metastasis was 22%(20/89) in cases of submucosal lesion (SM), which was significantly higher than 3%(3/88) in cases of mucosal lesion (M) (X2=14. 222, P<0.01). The rate of lymph node metastasis was 3%(4/117) when the primary tumor was ≤2cmin diameter compared with 32%(19/60) when the tumor was >2cm (X2=27.992, P<0.01). The lymph node metastasis rate was 4%(3/81) and 21%(20/96) in differentiated and undifferentiated lesion (X2=11.402, P=0.001), and it was 33%(2/6)、8%(7/99) and 19% (14/92) in macroscopic type I, Ⅱ and Ⅲ (X2=8.172, P=0.014). Binarylogistic analysis found that the tumour diameter greater than 2.0cm (OR=8.408, P<0.01), infiltration of the submucosal layer (OR=5.926, P=0.009) and undifferentiated lesion (OR=4.880, P=0.020) were the independent risk factors. Conclusion Lymph node metastasis in early gastric carcinoma is significantly cantingent on the depth of infiltration, tumor size and histological type.

Objective To evaluate TriVex based transilluminated powered phlebectomy (TIPP)three-stage management for lower limb venous ulcers.Methods This retrospective study included 86 patients with 103 diseased limbs treated in our hospital from October 2005 to July 2013.All received TriVex TIPP three-stage management.Results After therapy there was no acute cellulitis,skin necrosis nor lower limb deep venous thrombosis.There were 2 cases of subcutaneous ecchymosis,1 case of subcutaneous hematoma,1 case of skin abnormal sensation and 1 case of subcutaneous induration.Ulcers healed within one month postoperation in all cases,while skin abnomalities were alleviated with no ulcer recurrence during the follow-up ranging from 4 to 48 months.Conclusions TriVex TIPP centered threestage management is a good option for lower limb venous ulcer,with shortened healing time,low recurrence rate.
