1.Local Angiogenesis and Neurological Functional Recovery After Cerebral Ischemia
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2006;0(10):-
Cerebral ischemia activates endogenous angiogenic factors, and increase microvessel density and form new capillaries in ischemic brain tissues.Exogenous angiogenic factors can more effectively promote angiogenesis and the establishment of collateral circulation in ischemic regions and peripherial tissues, improving local blood supply and reducing infarct size. The further study of the mechanisms and methods in promoting regional angiogenesis after cerebral ischemia will contribute to improve neurologic deficit.

Objective:To investigate whether VLA-5 and VLA-6 are involved in facilitating en-dothelium-oriented transmigration of hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells. Methods:Purified hu-man CD34+ cells were subject to ex vivo transmigration assay and blocking experiments throughtranswell filter inserts coated with human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). Four-colorfluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) analysis was applied to detect the expression profilesof adhesion molecules and chemokine receptor CXCR-4 on CD34bright cells. Results:Stromal cell-derived factor (SDF)-1-induced transmigrations of both mobilized peripheral blood (mPB)-(56.6±20. 1)% and bone marrow (BM)- (15. 6±1. 8)% derived CD34+ cells were significantlyfacilitated through HUVECs-coated transwell filter insters compared with noncoated ones, whichwere efficiently blocked by preincubation of CD34+ cells with neutralizing antibodies to VLA-5,or VLA-6, or both of them; meanwhile the proportions of migrating CD34+ cells through bothHUVECs-coated and noncoated transwell filter inserts in BM were significantly lower than thosein mPB; the different percentages of migrating CD34+ cells between in mPB and BM were corre-lated with their variable expressions of VLA-5 and VLA-6, but not for VLA-4 or chemokine re-ceptor CXCR-4. Conclusion:Facilitating HS/PCs transmigrations through HUVECs are involvedin both VLA-5 and VLA-6.
3.Expression of the epithelial cell adhesion molecule in prostate cancer and its clinical significance.
National Journal of Andrology 2015;21(4):320-324
OBJECTIVETo explore the expression of the epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM) in prostate cancer (PCa) and its clinical significance.
METHODSWe collected tissue samples from 63 cases of PCa, 46 cases of prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN), and 58 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) adjacent to PCa and determined the expression of EpCAM in the epithelial and stromal cells by immunohistochemistry.
RESULTSThe positive expression rates of EpCAM in the epithelial cells were significantly higher in PCa and PIN than in PCa-adjacent BPH (98. 4 and 97. 8 vs 51.7%, P <0. 01), and so was that in the stromal cells of PCa than in those of PCa-adjacent PIN (89.5 vs 50.0%, P <0.01). The expression of EpCAM.was remarkably higher in the stromal cells of bone metastasis than in those of non-bone metastasis tissue (100. 0 vs 40. 0%, P <0. 01) but showed no statistically significant differences between the highly and poorly differentiated PCa tissues (88.5 vs 91.9%, P >0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe expression level of EpCAM in the stromal cells of PCa is related to the occurrence, progression, and bone metastasis of the tumor, and therefore may be used as a marker in the early diagnosis of PCa as well as a predictor of bone metastasis of the tumor.

Journal of Clinical Neurology 1992;0(01):-
Objective To observe the neuroprotective effect of Gangliosides on rats with cerebral ischemia-reperfusion. Methods Rat models were established through middle cerebral artery occlusion and divided into sham-operation group, ischemia-reperfusion group and Gangliosides group. The volume of infarotion and changes of NAA and Lactate at different time point were evaluated by DWI and MRS examinations. Results The mean infarcted volume measured by DWI at 1 h, 3 h and 6 h after ischemia-reperfusion in Gangliosides group was (30.32?8.18) mm3, (35.17?12.45) mm3 and (31.4?8.56) mm3, respectively, versus (204.6?37.77) mm3, (218.9?67.33) mm3 and (213.4?99. 95) mm3 in ischemia-reperfusion group. There were significant differences between the two groups (allP
7.Research Progress,Bottlenecks and Strategies in the Plant Bioreactor
China Biotechnology 2006;0(05):-
Past decade, plants as production systems for recombinant proteins has been actively investigated, and is one of the most active research fields in life sciences. Plants are attractive as protein factories because they with advantages of cost, scale, and safety, and emerge capability to produce pharmaceutical production with bioactivity proved by previously studies. The plant-made pharmaceuticals possess enormous viability for market and wide prospects for application. Based on those reasons, the rise of plant bioreactor was reviewed, and research advance on the expression systems and plant-made recombinant proteins was introduced. Bottleneck problems and adopted strategies using plant system to produce recombinant proteins and research hotspot in the near future were summarized, and prospect of plant bioreactor in future was described. Synchronously, some opinions including research progress of plant bioreactor, differences to foreign and strategies in the future were discussed.

Objective To apply the virtual reality training in clinical education of rehabilitation therapy. Methods 26 undergraduate students majored in rehabilitation therapy were randomly divided into 2 groups during clinical education of physiotherapy. The experimental group (n=14) received virtual reality training first, and then with routine teaching, while the control group (n=12) learnt with routine teaching only. Self-assessment and physiotherapy test were conducted after training. Results The experimental group reported more interested, initiative and positive in training than those of the control group. The experimental group achieved higher scores in practical tests than the control group (P<0.05), while no significant difference in the theoretical examination between the groups. Conclusion Application of virtual reality training may improve the teaching of physiotherapy.

Chinese Journal of Immunology 1985;0(01):-
Objective:To observe the expression of cell adhesion molecule CD44 in lung tissue of rats with asthma.Methods:32 SD rats were randomly divided into 4 groups:the normal group and the model group,8 rats in each group. The asthmatic model was established by repeated inhalation of ovalbulium. The expression of CD44 in lung tissue of rats was detected by semi-quantitatively reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) and by means of immuno-histochemical staining.Differential leukocytes counts(neutrophils, eosinophils, and lymphocytes) in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF) were performed after staining with wright staining. Results:The expressions of CD44 increased one week after OVA challenge(P
