Intrauterine growth retardation( IUGR) is a common complication during pregnancy. Epide-miological and clinical studies have shown that IUGR has a long-term impact on postnatal lipid metabolism. The effect of IUGR on postnatal lipid metabolism is accomplished by regulating signal pathways of fatty acid and cholesterol metabolism,which may be mediated by epigenetic modifications. Further study of these epigenetic mechanisms could lead to a novel way for prevention and treatment of adulthood diseases, including dyslipi-demia,non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and metabolic syndrome.

Objective The diagnosis of low frequency sensorineural hearing loss is examined for clinical applications.Methods Pure tone threshold(PTT),acoustic impedance,auditory brainstem response(ABR),distortion product otoacoustic emissions(DPOAE),electrocochleogram(ECochG)and imaging examinations of CT or MRI were performed on 56 cases with low frequency sensorineural hearing loss.Results Among 56 cases of low frequency sensorineural hearing loss,38 cases with sudden low frequency sensorineural hearing loss,9 with Meniere's disease, 6 as auditory neuropathy,1 case of acoustic neuroma,1 case of multiple sclerosis and 1 case with arachnoid cyst of cerebellar hemisphere surface.Conclusion Low frequency sensorineural hearing losses occurred in varied diseases.A comprehensive approach should be taken to diagnose this hearing loss and if necessary,CT or MRI can be utilized to confirm the standard audiologic evaluations.

The nature and functions of astrocytes (AS)， the pathological changes and roles of AS after spinal cord injury， the experimental methods of inhibiting AS proliferation and glial scar formation， and so on, were reviewed. AS beneficially affects repairing injured spinal cord at different periods of differentiation. However， adult AS secreting the factors formed the chemical glial barrier which severely affects nerve regeneration and hinders axon extension. Because of the static， activated and proliferative AS tending to coexist after spinal cord injury， and complex factors of barrier formation， the current approach taken by a single method is difficult to effectively control the AS proliferation and glial scar formation.

Objective To explore the methods of culture and identification of human placental microvascular endothelial cells(HPMVEC) in vitro,aiming to construct the polar model of human placental barrier.Methods By proteolytic enzymes,the tissular and cellular suspensions were collected from the chorionic villi of pregnant and centrifugated over a preformed discontinuous Percoll gradient.The highly purified human placental microvascular endothelial cells were obtained and cultured in HG-DMEM with fetal calf serum and identified by immunocytochemistry(SP methods) and transmission electron microscope.Results The highly purified human microvascular endothelial cells were cultured in vitro and passaged for three to five generations.Factor Ⅷ-related antigen and CD34 were both positive by immunocytochemistry.Weibel-Palade body(W-P body) was observed by transmission electron microscope.Conclusion Human placental microvascular endothelial cells can be isolated and cultured successfully in vitro by our method.

Objective To investigate the efficiency,decision of intra-operative puncture route,treatment of perioperative complications and discuss the other relative problems of the treament for lumbar disc herniation with percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic discectomy.Methods To excise the nucleus pulpesus under percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic discectomy,use the Macnab standard,visual analogue scale and infrared thermal imaging to estimate the efficiency.Results Among followed-up of 208 patients,182 patients were excellent and good outcome,23 patients favorable,2 patients fair,0 patient poor.The leg and back VAS was a significant improvement 1 week post-operation compared with pre-operation (P ＜ 0.05),but no statistical difference among 3 months,6 months,12 months and 1 week post-operation (P ＞ 0.05).The infrared thermal imaging point out that the legs skin temperature of D-value was a significant improvement post-operation compared with pre-operation (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions The method excised the nucleus pulpesus,and provided the spine maximum protection about the stability and flexibility.Intra-operative puncture route of individuation design can reduce the complications of intervertebral foramen perioperative,and the key to improve the effectiveness.

Background and purpose:Pancreatic cancer is one of the most deadly human malignant neoplasms. Resistance to chemotherapeutic drugs is a major reason responsible for poor prognosis in the treatment of pancreatic cancer patients. MicroRNA (miRNA, miR) is a family of small non-coding RNA molecules, dysregulated miRNA is associated with various tumor biological function. miR-33a has been widely reported as a metabolism-related miRNA, while its relationship with drug resistance has little understand. This study was focused on the effect of miR-33a on gemcitabine chemoresistance in pancreatic cancer to bring the novel theoretical basis to chemotherapy for pancreatic cancer.Methods:In situ hybridization and Real-time PCR were used to analyze the miR-33a expressions in pancreatic cancer tissue sample and cell lines, respectively. Cell counting kit 8 (CCK-8) assay was used to calculate the IC50 value of different pancreatic cancer cells.Results:miR-33a was down-regulated in pancreatic cancer tissue and cell lines compared with para-cancerous tissues and normal HEK293T cells. Moreover, miR-33a over expression not only could enhance the chemosensitivity to gemcitabine in pancreatic cancer cells, but also rescue the gemcitabine resistance in pancreatic cancer cells.Conclusion:Down regulation of miR-33a in pancreatic cancer decreases the chemosensitivity to gemcitabine, resulting in development of acquired gemcitabine chemoresistance. It provides the theoretical basis to develop a new molecular targeted drug to combine with chemotherapy for pancreatic cancer.

Objective:To investigate the preemptive analgesic effect of flurbiprofen on inflammatory cytokine in patients undergoing cerebral operation.Methods:Forty ASA Ⅰ-Ⅱpatients undergoing cerebral surgery were randomly divided into control group(group C,n=20)and flurbiprofen group(group F,n=20).Flurbipmfen of 10 mL was given intravenously 15 min before skin incision.The values of VAS scores were recorded at 2 h,24 h and 48 h after operation.Blood samples were taken for determination of serum levels of TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-10 immediately before induction of anesthesia(T1,baseline),at 2 h of operation (T2),immediately after the end of operation (T3) and 24 h after operation (T4).The parameters of anaesthesia time,hemorrhage volume,urine volume,transfusion volume and the dosage of remifentanil and propofol were recorded during the period of anaesthesia.Results:The VAS score was lower in group F than that in group C at 2 h and 24 h after operation (P＜0.05),but there was no difference at 48 h after operation between the two groups(P＞0.05).The dosages of remifentanil and propofol were lower during anaesthesia in group F than that in group C(P＜0.05).Compared with T1,TNF-α was significantly increased at T2 and T3 in both groups,and the peak value at T2 (P＜0.05).TNF-α was decreased at T2-T4 in group F than that in group C(P＜0.05).Compared with T1,the levels of IL-6 and IL-10 were significantly increased at T2-T4 in both groups,and the peak value at T3(P＜O.05).The value of IL-6 was decreased and the value of IL-10 was increased at T2-T4 in group F than those in group C (P＜0.05).Conclusion:Flurbiprofen was suitable as a preemptive analgesia and could suppress stress reaction of inflammatory in neurosurgery.

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of pericarpium zanthoxylum oil on experimental hyperlipemia in mice.
