1.Premature ventricular complex-induced cardiomyopathy
Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2017;32(1):4-6
Premature ventricular complex (PVC)-induced cardiomyopathy is due to frequent PVCs and it can be potentially reversible in selected patients resolves after catheter ablation.PVCs burden is importantly associated with impaired left ventricular(LV) function.Necessary evaluation is important for PVCs patients. For patients with high PVC burdens above 15%-25% of the total cardiac beats in 24 hours, medical treatment should be used to reduce PVC burden and to improve LV function.Catheter ablation of PVCs is recommended for selected patients with high PVC burdens associated with a decline in LV systolic function.
2.Expression of Cyclin D3 and PCNA in Cutaneous Malignant Melanoma
Chinese Journal of Dermatology 2003;0(12):-
Objective To investigate the expression of cyclin D3 and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) and their clinical significance in mal ignant melanoma. Methods The expression of cyclin D3 and PCNA was measured by streptavidin-peroxidase complex immunohistochemical technique in 57 cases of pri mary cutaneous malignant melanoma (CMM), 37 cases of metastatic melanoma and 20 cases of benign nevi. Results The positive expression rate of cyclin D3 in CM M and metastatic melanoma were 35.1% and 59.5% respectively, while the high expr ession rate of PCNA were 57.9% and 78.6% respectively. Compared with that in ben ign nevi, the expression of cyclin D3 and PCNA was significantly increased. The expression of cyclin D3 and PCNA in CMM was positively related to Clark′s grade and the metastasis to lymph nodes. The 3-year survival rate in patients with ne gative expression of cyclin D3 was significantly higher than that with positive expression in superficial melanomas. The 3-year survival rate of patients with l ow expression of PCNA was significantly higher than that with high expression in CMM. The expression of cyclin D3 was positively correlated with the high expres sion of PCNA in superficial and metastatic melanomas. Conclusions The expressi on of cyclin D3 and PCNA may be involved in the carcinogenesis process and progr ession of CMM and have important implications in the selection of therapeutic re gimens and prognostic assessment. The expression level of cyclin D3 may be regar ded as a prognostic factor for superficial melanoma.

6.Progress of interventional therapy of congenital valvular aortic stenosis
Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2014;29(10):721-724
Congenital vahular aortic stenosis (AS),which refers to a congenital malformation of the aortic valve,is the most common causes of left ventricular outflow tract obstruction in chiidren. In 1983,percutaneous balloon aortic valvuloplasty (PBAV) was firstly described as the treatment for congenital AS in children.Over the past 30 years advancement in technique and equipment had radically improved the safety and outcome of balloon valvuloplasty of aortic valve.Nowadays the technique is widely regarded as the therapy of first choice for children with congenital AS.However,it is essential to make decisions about treatment and define which approach has the best chance of success for any given patient before the initial intervention, especially for the neonate with critical AS.PBAV is usually effective for acutely relieving left ventricular outflow obstruction and has excellent short term results in most childen with congenital AS.The mid-and long-trem outcome after a successful balloon dilation of congenital AS in childhood is also good, but late restenosis and valve regurgitation eventually necessitate reintervention in the majority of children, which included aortic valve replacement.PBAV was found to have a high incidence of complications and remains one of the most challenging procedures in the inttcventional therapy of congenital heart disease.Operators should not only acquire the necessary manual skills, but also have the ability to make sound clinical judgment and deal with critical events.Owing to its palliative nature of balloon dilation for congenital AS,the follow-up care of patients after procedure is quite important.
7.Genetic research progress of bicuspid aortic valve and it's clinical significance
International Journal of Pediatrics 2010;37(2):149-151,154
Bicuspid aortic valve(BAV) is one of the most common congenital cardiovascular malformations, affecting 1% to 2% of the population.BAV may be sporadic or familial.BAV is likely a multiple genetic disorder based on the study of heritability and identification of pathogenic genes and potential candidate genes. With increasing studies of related genes of BAV,early intervention and gene therapy of BAV and associated complications may be likely in the near future.
8.Hemodynamic changes of carotid and ophthalmic arteries in menopausal women using tibolone
Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 2004;0(05):-
Objective To assess the effects of tibolone treatment on the hemodynamic changes of the ophthalmic artery(OA) and internal carotid artery(ICA) as sonographic markers of atherosclerosis in menopausal women. Methods A total of 30 menopausal women were treated with 2.5mg of tibolone(Livial) daily as treatment group. At the same time,30 women with natural menopause who were not given any treatment served as control group.Noninvasive measurements of the resistance index(RI) and peak systolic blood flow velocity of ICA and OA were made with ultrasound before the treatment and at 3rd,6th,9th and 12th month of treatment, respectively. Results RI of ICA and OA decreased significantly after tibolone treatment(P
9.Effects of hormone replacement therapy on endothelial function in menopausal women
Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis 2009;21(3):202-205
Objective To observe the effects of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) on endothelial function in menopausal women. Methods A total of 30 menopausal women were treated with 2.5 mg of Tibolone (Livial) daily. At the same time, 30 women with natural menopause without any treatment served as the control group. Endothelium-dependent (EDD), endothelium-independent (NID) vasodilatation function, and estradiol (E2) were examined by the non-invasive high-resolution ultrasonography before the treatment and at 12th, 24th, 36th and 48th week of treatment, respectively. Results After hormone treatment, E2 increased significantly and EDD was improved significantly (P<0.05), and E2 was positively related with EDD (r=0.8092, P<0.001). No change of EDD was observed in the control group whereas a significant increase was observed in the treatment group. Conclusion Endothelium-dependent vasodilatation dysfunction is prominent in menopausal women. Tibolone can help improve the condition.
