Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(01):-
Objective To explore the effects of antagonist of angiotensin II(Ang II) receptors on acute pancreatitis(AP) of rats. Methods The Sprague-Dawley rats were divided randomly into normal group, AP group, AP+lower dose of valsartan(5mg/kg) group , AP+higher dose of valsartan(8mg/kg) group, lower dose of valsartan group and higher dose of valsartan group, and each group containing 6 animals. AP animal models were induced by intraperitoneal injection of cerulein. Valsartan was given by intragastric administration. The histopathological changes of pancreas were observed and scored, and the pancreatic edema was evaluated. The levels of plasma amylase (AMY) and pancreatic myeloperoxidase (MPO) were measured. Results Compared with AP group, the pathologic lesions of pancreas and pancreatic edema decreased in the group AP+ valsartan, and the levels of plasma AMY and MPO also reduced. Conclusion Pretreatment with antagonist of angiotensin II receptors in rat acute pancreatitis can markedly reduce pancreatic injury and inflammation.

BACKGROUND:Femoral neck fracture combined with femoral shaft fracture as a high-energy injury exhibits some difficulties in its clinical treatment because of bone chips and bone defects. Bone and cel transplantations have been used recently in order to effectively fil the bone defect area. OBJECTIVE:To explore the therapeutic effect of bone transplantation versus cel transplantation for treatment of femoral neck fracture combined with femoral shaft fracture. METHODS: A retrospective analysis was performed in patients with femoral neck fracture combined with femoral shaft fracture, who respectively underwent internal fixation with bone transplantation, tissue transplantation and cel transplantation. Perioperative indexes, incidence of complications and Harris scores were observed and compared. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) Femoral neck fractures are most commonly classified into Garden type, AO type and Pauwel type. Fracture classification aims to unify standards, which is easy to guide treatment and scientific research. (2) Internal fixation with bone transplantation and tissue transplantation is easy, safe and effective to promote fracture healing and improve hip function, which is an effective way to repair femoral neck fractures with femoral shaft fractures. (3) Compared with autogenous bone graft, alograft transplantation materials as finished products have a variety of sources, and have indications and efficacy similar to non-vascularized bone graft, which are suitable for clinical practice, but long-term effects need to be furtherexplored. (4) Internal fixation with cel transplantation is simple, reliable and effective for femoral neck fractures with femoral shaft fractures, which provides a new idea to reduce the early incidence of femoral head necrosis.

OBJECTIVE:To optimize the formulation of Asiaticoside cationic liposomes, and to investigate the characteristics of drug release in vitro. METHODS:The thin film dispersion method was used to prepare liposome;using encapsulation efficiency and drug-loading amount as index, the formulation of Asiaticoside liposomes was optimized by central composite design-response surface method with the ratio of drug to lipid(X1),the ratio of cholesterol to lipid(X2)and the concentration of D-mannose(X3) as factors. Using sodium lauryl sulfate as medium,in vitro release characteristics of cationic liposomes prepared with 1%octadecyl-amine was investigated by bag filter method, and compared with those of Asiaticoside solution and common liposome. RESULTS:The optimal formulation was X1 0.07,X2 0.17 and X3 0.03 g/ml. The encapsulation efficiency was (75.529 ± 1.071)%,and drug-loading amount was(2.539±0.029)%(n=3);the deviation from the predicted values were -0.217% and 0.205%;1% oc-tadecylamine was add into formulation to obtain cationic liposomes, and the Zeta potential had changed from -5.6 mV to 20.8 mV. in vitro accumulative release rates of Asiaticoside solution, common liposomes and cationic liposomes were 89.13%(12 h), 87.58%(72 h) and 94.46%(72 h),and the latter was in line with Weibull model. CONCLUSIONS:Asiaticoside cationic lipo-somes have high encapsulation efficiency, and can releases for 72 h.

Ovbective To evaluate whether the deleterious effect of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) mediated by oxygen free radicals could be prevented by controlling PaO 2 in cyanotic children. Methods Cyanotic pediatric patients undergoing cardiac surgery (n=38) were randomly allocated into 2 groups. The groups matched in respect to sex, age, body surface area and preoperative ventricular function. Group H (n=18) had CPB initiated at a FiO 2 of 0.8,group L (n=18) had CPB initiated at a FiO 2 of 0.4. SOD and MDA were determined in arterial blood sample before CPB,30 minutes after initiation of CPB and 30 minutes post CPB. Various pulmonary parameters were determined 10 minutes after intubation,30 minutes after CPB,the 2nd hours and the 6th hours in the intensive care units. Results At the 6th hours in ICU,the mean postoperative increase in peak airway pressure and P(A-a)O 2/PaO 2 in group H was significant higher than that in group L(P
