Objective To evaluate the precise, accurate and specific of two direct methods for measuring low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)based on the principle of selective hydrolysys. Methods Both DAIICHI and Randox reagents were compared with PVS method and the ultracentrifugally separated HDL and LDL fractions were used. Results Both methods all had good precise, the total CV was 3.96%~4.42%(Daiichi)and 0.78%~3.19%(Randox),repectively.The average concentrations of 48 serum samples were 3.68±1.23 mmol/L(PVS method),3.25±1.11 mmol/L(DAIICHI method)and 3.37±1.21 mmol/L(Randox method),respectively. There was no statistics difference between the results from PVS method and other two direct methods.Furthermore it indicated that the results determined by both direct methods had good relationship with that by PVS method. It also indicated that both direct methods had good specific to LDL-C.The dilute test demonstrated that there were good linearity between both direct methods of LDL-C and the linearity range was 9.28 mmol/L at least. Conclusion The direct methods for determining LDL-C based on the principle of selective hydrolysis possessed good precise and accurate and specific to LDL-C,and was meet with clinical application.

Objective To evaluate the effects of small dose of dopamine on the renal blood flow in the elderly patients undergoing cardiac valve replacement under cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB).Methods Sixty elderly patients,of ASA physical status Ⅱ or Ⅲ,aged 65-74 yr,weighing 52-77 kg,scheduled for elective cardiac valve replacement under CPB,were randomized to receive either normal saline (group C,n =30) or dopamine (group D,n =30).After beginning of surgery,CPB was established routinely. In group D,dopamine was continuously infused for 20 min at a rate of 2 μg· kg-1 · min-1 starting from 10 min after the hearts were perfused with cardioplegic solution for the first time, while the equal volume of normal saline was given in group C.The left renal blood flow velocity was measured by transesophageal echocardiography and mean arterial pressure was recorded before and after dopamine infusion.Blood samples were obtained before surgery and at 24 h after surgery for determination of blood urea nitrogen concentrations. Results Blood urea nitrogen concentrations were significantly increased at 24 h after surgery than that before surgery in the two groups. There was no significant difference in mean arterial pressure and the left renal blood flow velocity before and after dopamine infusion between the two groups. Conclusion Small dose of dopamine (2 μg· kg-1· min-1) dose not increase the renal blood flow or improve the postoperative renal function in the elderly patients undergoing cardiac valve replacement under CPB.

AIM:To evaluate the therapeutic effects of bisdemethoxycurcumin liposome in mice with CCl4-induced acute liver injury model and its mechanism.METHODS:40 ICR mice were randomly divided into 4 groups:control group, model group, bisdemethoxycurcumin injection group and demethoxycurcumin liposome group(n=10).The liver injury model was made by injecting CCl4 in mouse's abdomen. The activities of ALT,AST in serum, the contents of MDA in liver and the pathological changes of hepatic tissue were investigated.RESULTS:Compared with those in control group, the serum ALT,AST activities and liver MDA contents of model group were highly increased, but those in bisdemethoxycurcumin injection group and bisdemethoxycurcumin liposome group were reduced significantly. The liver lobules were ameliorated obviously too, especially in bisdemethoxycurcumin liposome group. The pharmacodynamic action of liposome was better than that of the injection.CONCLUSION:Bisdemethoxycurcumin liposome has significantly protective effects on CCl4-induced acute chemical liver injury by reducing peroxidation of lipid in endotheliocyte of the liver.

OBJECTIVETo develop a life quality scale suitable for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) patients, objectively reflecting its changes.
METHODSAuthors first put forward a theoretical structure model of a scale according to patient-reported outcome (PRO) scale formulation principle by combining basic theories of Chinese medicine (CM). Then authors developed an initial scale on the basis of various life quality scales for respiratory disease patients by using structural decision making. Totally 34 patients with confirmed diagnosis of IPF were tested by questionnaire. Items were screened using expert importance scoring method, factor analysis, correlation coefficient method, Cronbach's alpha coefficient method. IPF patient reported outcomes (IPF PRO, IP) were finally defined.
RESULTSA new IP scale was developed covering three areas and 38 items. Pearson correlation coefficient for correlation analysis of clinical symptom scores in ST-George Respiratory Questionnaire and IP scale was 0.828 (P < 0.01). Pearson correlation coefficient for correlation analysis of activity ability scores was 0.929 (P < 0.01). Pearson correlation coefficient for correlation analysis of total scores was 0.862 (P < 0.01). By reliability of IP scale itself (reliability) analysis, Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.713. By using factor analysis method for data analysis, KMO statistics was 0.902.
CONCLUSIONIP scale fully reflected the connotation of IPF patients' quality of life, so it could be used as CM clinical therapeutic effect evaluation tool.

ObjectiveTo observe the difference in analgesia effects of ropivacaine with fentanyl used intraarticularly after the single knee arthroscopy procedure.Methods40 patients performed knee arthroscopy under combined spinal-epidural anaesthesia( CSEA),were randomly divided into 4 groups (n =10),at the end of operation 10mlof different drug at the group F,R,FR and N(fentanyl 10μg,0.5% ropivacaine, fentanyl 10μg +0.5% ropivacaine, normal saline)were injected intra-articularly.The antalgic effects of four groups based on standard of VAS were observed at the 2,4,8,12 and 24h after operation.ResultsThe 2h postoperative VAS scores were lower in four groups, the differences in four groups were not significant. The 4,8,12,24h postoperative VAS scores of F,R and FR group were much lower than that of N group ( all P < 0.05 ).Moreover,VAS scores of FR group were much lower than that of F and R group( all P < 0.05 ).No other adverse effects were observed.ConclusionIntra-articular administration of ropivacaine with fentanyl could provide superior postoperative analgesia without side effects. It was an excellent regimen for analgesia after knee arthroscopy.
