The precocious puberty in female rats were induced by subcutaneous injection of N-methyl-DL-aspartate (NMA). The female rats with induced precocious puberty showed the same sexual feature as the rats that had normal puberty. NMA plays its role at the level of hypothalamus. Subcutaneous injection of NMA is an effective means to induce true precocious puberty in female rats.

Orthopedic Journal of China 2006;0(23):-
Patellar instability is a common cause of knee pain and a common disease of patellofemoral joint. It is one of the important etiological factors of chondromalacia patella or patellofemoral joint osteoarthritis. This paper investigates the pathological mechanism, sympton, physical examination and photographic of patellar instability. And the results showed that correct diagnosis lead to reasonable treatment. The emphasis of therapy is to restore the balance of soft tissue around palella.Combined orthopedic treatment is commonly used according to different age, different instability degrees, and pathological factors of different patients.

Objective To study ischemic tolerance induced by acanthopannx senticosus saponins(ASS) on ischemia in PC12 cells and involve expression of hypoxia inducible factor-1?(HIF-1?).Methods An ischemic model was developed in PC12 cell line with treatment of oxygen glucose deprivation(OGD).The protective effects of ASS pretreatment on ischemic tolerance of PC12 cells and whether protective effects of ASS could be inhibited by LY294002(PI3K inhibitor) were analyzed through MTT assay. The induction of phospho-glycogen synthesis kinase-3?(p-GSK-3?) and HIF-1? after pretreatment of ASS and possible blocking effects of LY294002 were detected by Western-blot.Results MTT results showed that after 9 h ischemia, the viability of PC12 cells decreased dramatically(P

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effects of epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG)against exercise-induced fatigue in mice.
METHODSTotal 120 mice were randomly divided into three groups and tested separately. For each test, there were 30 mice subdivided into high dose (50 mg/kg . d EGCG) and low dose (10 mg/kg . d EGCG) groups as well as saline control group(1 ml/kg . d) with 10 in each. Burden swimming, running wheel endurance, stick climbing and hypoxia tolerance exercise were used to establish fatigue mice training model in three groups. And intraperitoneal injection with different doses of EGCG per day for consecutively 28 days and the mice in the control group were treated with normal saline. After the last each test, the blood lactic acid (BLA), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), blood lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), muscle glycogen (MG) and liver glycogen (LG) of each group of mice were determined.
RESULTSEGCG treatment groups(B and C)revealed a prolonged the mice survival time of burden swimming test, hypoxia tolerance, running wheel time and the ability of stick climbing(P < 0.05 or P <0.01), and increased LDH activity and MG and LG contents, reduced contents of BLA and BUN. High dose group had an obviously increase effect than lower dose group(P <0.05).
CONCLUSIONEGCG has significant effects against exercise-induced fatigue in mice.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the causes of stomal recurrence after laryngectomy and the possibility of surgical management.METHODS The clinical data of 13 cases of stomal recurrence were analyzed retrospectively.RESULTS In 13 cases of stomal recurrence after laryngectomy, the survival period of 9 cases treated surgically was longer than that of 4 cases untreated or palliative treatment.CONCLUSION The overall prognosis of stomal recurrence after laryngectomy is poor.A proper surgical treatment in some cases will prolong the patient's lifetime obviously and improve his quality of life.

Acta Anatomica Sinica 1989;0(S1):-
Brain natriuretic peptide(BNP) is a recently discovered novel neuropeptide of 26 amino acid residues, isolated from porcine brain, that is of similar potency to atrial natriuretic factor(ANF) in natriuretic, diuretic, hypotensive and smooth muscle relaxant activities. we used a highly selective antisera against BNP raised in rabbit to observe its distribution and localization in some brain areas and some other peripheral tissues by utili zing high sensitive avidin-biotin-peroxidase complex technique. Positive brain natriuretic peptide immunoreactive (BNPir) fibers and cell bodies were observed in the lateral hypothalamic area, caudate-putamen, hippocampus, amygdala, and supraoptic and paraventricular nuclei. A lot of BNPir granules were also found in rat atria. They were of similar localization to that of ANF. Most of the specific granules were accumulated in cytoplasm at both nuclear poles of atrial myocytes. The BNP immunoreactivity is less intense than that of the ANF. Some of scanty, diffuse and fine BNPir granules could also be observed in ventricular myocytes. The coexistence of both BNP and ANF in the brain and heart indicates that BNP may function as a neuropeptide and circulating hormone, and suggests the possibility that the physiological effects such as diuretic natriuretic, hypotensive and smooth muscle relaxant activities so far thought to be mediated by ANF may be regulated through a dual mechanism involving both BNP and ANF. In addition, some BNPir positive cells were also present in the anterior and intermediate lobes of rat pituitary gland. The significance of BNP in hypophysis would be elucidated in the further studies.

Background and purpose:Osteosarcoma, a highly malignant bone tumor, develops rapidly. The current medicines for osteosarcoma present some limitations with serious side effects of long-term use. Isosteviol has the structure of tetracyclic diterpene which is the starting material of many anti-cancer drugs. However, its anti-tumor activity has been rarely reported. This study investigated the effect of isosteviol on proliferation of human osteosarcoma cell line U-2OS.Methods:The effect of isosteviol on U-2OS cell proliferation was assayed by MTT method. Cellular morphologic changes were observed under an inverted phase contrast microscope. The cell condition was observed with Hoechst 33342 and PI staining. Generation of reactive oxygen species and cell membrane potential were detected as well. The cell cycles were analyzed with lfow cytometry. The expressions of apoptosis-related proteins Bcl-2 and Bax were measured by Western blot assay. Results:The result indicates that isosteviol suppressed the growth of U-2OS cells in time- and concentration-dependent manner. Isosteviol could cause S phase cell cycle arrest at 24 h and apoptosis at 48 h. With the increased drug concentration, reactive oxygen species increased significantly, and the membrane potential gradually reduced. In addition, isosteviol treatment enhanced the expression of Bax but reduced that of Bcl-2.Conclusion:The inhibition of isosteviol on cell growth of U-2OS cells was possibly caused by promoting apoptosis through regulating the apoptosis-related protein expressions, such as the enhancement of Bax and reduction of Bcl-2 expression.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacies of local analgesic influsion equipment after arthroscopic arthrolysis in treating frozen shoulder. Methods 84 patients suffered from frozen shoulder were randomly divided into two groups from February 2012 to July 2014 , Group one was treated with local analgesic influsion equipment, another group was not treated with it. both groups received arthroscopic arthrolysis The mean duration of follow-up was 11.2 months after operation. The range of shoulder motion , VAS and ASES scores were recorded before the operation and one week, one month, three months after the operation. Results All patients were involved , the range of shoulder motion , VAS and ASES scores improved significantly after operation(P < 0.05). The differences of the range shoulder motion, ASES score after operation, the patients with local analgesic equipment improved significantly (P < 0.05),but there were no significant difference of VAS scores between two groups at 3months after operation (P > 0.05). Conclusion Local analgesic equipment could alleviate the pain of patients with frozen shoulder earlier and more effectively , promote recovery quickly , achieve expected effects.
