Objective The aim of this investigation is to explore the effects of hypoxia on the biological activity of endothelial progenitor cells(EPC)and to improve the efficacy of EPC transplantation. Methods Rat bone marrow derived EPC were isolated and cultured either under normoxic or hypoxic conditions. The proliferation, migration and angiogenic ability of EPC were observed. Results In hypoxic group, the number of attached cells per high power field(hpf)was significantly more than that in normoxic group (91.0?8.0)vs(42.5?5.3),P

Chinese Journal of Digestive Endoscopy 2001;0(02):-
Objective To investigate the role of oestrogen receptors and enteric mast cells in the pathogenesis of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) . Methods Biopsies from 59 patients with IBS and 24 control subjects were analyzed blindly for the number of mast cell ( MC ) , estrogen receptors and progestogen receptors in terminal ileum , caecum and descending colon (DC). Immunohistochemical methods were used to detect the estrogen receptors (ER) , progestogen receptors (PR) and MC. And double Immunohistochemical staining was used to manifest the expression of oestrogen receptors in intestinal MC. Results The cells positive for ER were morphologically similar to the MC (R = 0. 884, P

Objective To establish hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) cell lines which olig-expressed IGF1R gene stably. Methods An eukaryotic expressing vector pSUPER-IGF1R-siRNA that could block IGF1R expressing was transferred into hepatocellular carcinoma cell lines SMMC7721 and Hep3B with Lipofectamine 2000 reagents. After transferred, cells were selected with G418 to obtain positive clones. The expressions of IGF1R,cyclin D1 and cyclin B1 were detected by RT-PCR and Western-blot.Cell growth curve were painted. Results Two cell lines clones were screened olig-expressing IGF1R gene stably. The experimental cell lines grew more slowly than control cell lines and the expression of cyclin D1 decreased(P
5. Emerging and re-emerging zoonoses is a persistent challenges for human health
China Tropical Medicine 2022;22(10):895-
Zoonoses are a class of infectious diseases that are transmitted from animals to humans. More than 200 known types of zoonoses have been reported across the world until now. Among 1 400 pathogens of human infectious diseases, approximately 61% are zoonotic origin, and 75% human emerging infectious diseases are zoonoses. These zoonoses pose a great threat to human and animal health and decrease livestock production. To effectively tackle the persistent challenges resulting from zoonoses, WHO collaborates with member governments, academia, non-governmental and charitable organizations, and regional and international partners to prevent and manage zoonotic threats and their public health, social and economic impacts. Although great success has been achieved in the management of zoonoses, there are still multiple challenges for zoonoses control in China due to environmental, climate, socioeconomic factors and antimicrobial resistance. Based on the One Health concept, the integration of modern biological, information, artificial intelligent and big data tools through multidisciplinary and multi-sectorial collaborations may facilitate the containment and elimination of zoonoses.

Objective To summarized the diseases which were demonstrated as hyperintensity lesions on high diffusion sensitive gradien(high b value) diffusion weighted imaging(DWI) To investigate the differential diagnosis of the diseases and to discuss the corresponding biophysics mechanism Methods 90 cases were studied, which were clinically highly suspected of brain ischemic stroke onset and in which hyperintensity lesions were demonstrated on DWI The patients were divided to 2 groups according to the time between the onset and the MR examination:group A(1 5-6 0 h)with 13cases, group B(7 h to 8 d)with 77cases The appearances of the lesions on conventional MRI, ADC values and anistropy(CV )of the lesions were studied Results hyperintensity lesions on high b value DWI were demonstrated in following diseases: acute ischmia, hematoma, abcesses, mengioma, mutiple sclerosis(MS) The ADC value was decreased to(5 87?1 02)(10 -4 mm 2/s in superacute cerebral ischemia, while the ADC value increased to (8 08?1 15)?10 -4 mm 2/s in active MS The CV in cerebral ischemia lesions was higher than the control group( P

Objective Using MRI techniques and the FreeSurfer software package to research the occipital lobe's surface area in children with ametropic amblyopia.Design Prospective, nonrandomized clinical trial.Participants The amblyopic group included 10 children with ametropic amblyopia. The control group included 10 children with normal sight. Methods The brain MRI scan was per- formed with SIEMENS AVANTO 1.5 Tesla scanner. For the surface area analysis,3-demensional MPRAGE images were analyzed with FreeSurfer software package.Main Outcome Measures Occipital lobe related surface area(cuneus, later occipital,lingual,perical- carine)of bilateral hemisphere. Results No difference was between the ages of the two groups. The surface areas of the lingual,pefical- carine, cuneus of bilateral hemisphere and lateraloccipital on the left hemisphere in amblyopic patients were smaller than those of nor- real children(P

Objective To investigate the CT,MRI features and differential diagnosis of central nervous system primitive neuroec-todermal tumors (cPNET).Methods The CT and MRI findings of 1 5 cases with cPNET proved by pathology were analyzed retro-spectively,and we summarized the imaging features and differential diagnosis. Results For this group, the average age was (8.82± 2.53)and the male to female ratio was 9 ︰6.All lesions located in supratentorial region, which had relatively large volume (average diameter of 6.3 cm),cystic necrosis (12/15),and no or mild peritumoral edema.cPNET showed isodensity, slight hyperdensity or slight hypodensity on CT plain scan, and demonstrated uniform or inhomogeneous enhancement. On MRI plain scan, solid part showed isointensity or slight hypointensity signal on T1 WI,isointensity or slight hyperintensity signal on T2 WI,hyperintensity sig-nal on DWI(12/15),isointensity(9/15)or slightly hyperintensity signal on FLAIR,and showed obvious uniform, honeycombed or irregular enhancement after enhanced scan,no enhancement in cystic necrosis. Conclusion cPNET have certain characteristics,inclu-ding the lower onset age, relatively large volume with well-defined edge and no or mild peritumoral edema, hyperintensity signal on DWI,isointensity signal on FLAIR.

Objective To explore the effects of pigmentary epithelium derived factor (PDEF) on the phenotypic and immunologic function of murine-derived dentritic cells(BMDCs) .Methods Mononuclear cells(MNCs) isolated from murine bone marrow were cultured in RPMI1640 medium containing rmGM-CSF and rmIL-4 for 5 d ,and were divided into five groups .MNCs were stimulated for 3 d with either 50 ,100 ,200ng/mL PEDF ,1 μg/mL LPS(positive control) or RPMI1640(negative control) .The expression of CD11c ,CD80 and CD86 on DCs surface were analyzed by the fluorescence activated cell sorting (FCM ) .The ability of PEDF-induced BMDCs to stimulated T cell maturation were determined by the CCK-8 method and the level of IL-12 in the culture supernatant was detected by ELISA .Results The PEDF-treated BMDCs expressed high levels of CD11c ,CD80 and CD86 ,enhanced the immunolog-ical activities of T lymphocyte and its secretion of IL-12 when compared with untreated DCs .Conclusion PEDF can significantly up-regulate the expression of DCs immunological labelled molecule in in vitro cultured murine and increase its immunological com-petence .
