Objective To explore the risk factors of esophageal cancer and these factors' interaction Methods 472 new diagnosed cases of esophageal cancer in 2004—2005 and 472 controls were investigated by case-control study. Etiological fractions and interactions between family history of esophageal cancer and other risk factors of esophageal cancer were analyzed. Results The significant independent risk factors included taking hot-meal, preferring pickled-vegetables, preferring dry-rigidity-food, being irritable, drinking polluted-water perennially, family history of esophageal cancer and drinking alcohol a great deal. The etiologic fractions attributable to interaction were 0.855, 0.758, 0.683, 0.464, 0.459, 0.343 and 0.108 respectively. The synergy indexes of family history of esophageal cancer with taking hot-meal and with preferring dry-rigidity-food were both 0.86. Concludes The interactions between family history of esophageal cancer and ill life-behavior-style or drinking polluted-water perennially were particularly significant in the development of esophageal cancer in Dongping County.

Objective To investigate the anti-HBs level in 15 years after vaccination in adults and newborns in Beijing and provide the suggestion for the adult hepatitis B (HB) immunization plan. Methods A serological survey was conducted in 6 705 subjects aged > 1 year old by multistage randomized cluster sampling in Beijing during August 2013 to February 2014.The subjects who had received a 3-dose recombination HB vaccine when they were newborns or adults aged ≥15 years old and did not undergo revaccination were selected.Antibody to hepatitis B surface antigen (anti-HBs) titers and positive rates in 15 years after vaccination were evaluated. Results A total of 129 and 463 subjects who were vaccinated in adults and newborns were enrolled in the study.Based on the self-limited rate(30%) of HBV infection among the general population aged 15 to 59 years, anti-HBs positive rates for the subjects vaccinated in adults were estimated to be 58.6%,62.5 % and 48.4% during 0-4, 5-9 and 10-15years after vaccination respectively. The corresponding median of anti-HBs titers were 288.8, 120.6 and 62.6 mIU/mL.The anti-HBs positive rates for the subjects vaccinated in newborns during 0-4, 5-9 and 10-15 years after vaccination were 83.3%, 47.3% and 43.5%, respectively. The corresponding anti-HBs titers were 71.8, 8.9 and 6.7 mIU/mL.Conclusions The protection afforded by primary immunization with recombination vaccine in adults and newborns lasts at least 15 years.

OBJECTIVE:To study the chemical components of Swertia nervosa. METHODS:Silica gel column chromatogra-phy was used for purification and analysis of compounds’structure based on physicochemical properties and spectral data. RE-SULTS:Five compounds were isolated and identified in petroleum ether portion of S. nervosa, involving 1-hydroxy-3,7,8-trime-thoxyxanthone (1),1,8-dihydroxy-3,7-dimethoxyxanthone (2),1,8-dihydroxy-3,5-dimethoxyxanthone(3),1-hydroxy-3,5-dime-thoxyxanthone(4)and β-sitosterol(5). CONCLUSIONS:Compound 1,3 and 4 are isolated from S. nervosa for the first time, and the study has laid a foundation for the quality evaluation of S. nervosa.

Journal of Interventional Radiology 2001;0(06):-
The incidence of pancreatic carcinoma is increasing obviously in recent years with a serious threat to the people's life, and yet there is not a single treatment for obtaining satisfactory prognosis. At present, the radical resection is the primary method for resectable pancreatic carcinoma, together with radiotherapy can improve the surgical resection rate and reduce the dissemination of tumors. Intraoperative radiotherapy can alleviate the pain and increase the survival rate, but the role of postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy is still in controversial. There is a lot of advantages for regional chemotherapy theoretically, but lack of evidence in practice. Physical therapy and biological therapy in the treatment of pancreatic carcinoma have been recognized extensively. It is possible to change fundamentally the current status of treatment and to improve the long-term survival rates with the quality of life until establishing a comprehensive treatment system mainly depended on surgical resection with combination of radiotherapy, chemotherapy, physical and biological treatment. The interventional therapy has been significantly developed as an important palliative treatment during recent years.

Objective To provide an observational baseline by studying the nature and characteristics of in- frared thermograms of the spine area of the healthy young men. Methods Infrared thermograms of the spine area were collected using a TIP medical infrared thermograph. The average temperature of each unit area in the middle and on the two sides of the spine was measured. Results (1)Except certain unit areas in the cervical thorax and lum- bar sacral segments, the average temperature of each unit area in the middle of the spine was significantly higher than on the two sides. In the middle of the spine, the average temperature of the cervical thorax and lumbar sacral seg- ments was insignificantly higher than adjacent areas. The shape of the infrared thermograms of the cervical thorax and lumbar sacral segments resembled a triangle and a rhomboid, respectively. Conclusion The study provided para- meters and characteristics of infrared thermograms for clinical diagnosis and guidelines for rehabilitation therapy using an infrared thermograph.

Objective: To seek the optimum technology of drying and to solve the problem of powder sticking clump. Methods : On the basis of major drying condition, such as duration of drying, temperature of drying, evaluating different drying technology; On the basis of the quantity of the powder sticking on the wall and the hygroscopicity of one, investigating different excipients how to affect the spray drying. Seeking the optimum kinds and quantity of excipients. Results : The best properties of the granules are from the spray drying process. ?-cyclodextrin and lactose have the effects on solving the powder sticking on the wall. Conclusion : The spray drying process is the optimum one. Adding 3~5 percent of ?-cyclodextrin has an effect on improving the phenomenon of powder sticking on the wall in process of the spray drying.

The viability and life span of pollen were evaluated by TTC (2,3,5-triphenyl tetrazlium chloride) and the peroxidase solution, the stigma receptivity were estimated by benzidine-H2O2 method and the fruiting characteristics were investigated. The results showed that (1) Anoectochilus roxburghii and A. formosanus appeared the same up-and-down trend of the pollen viability, increased and then decreased. The storage temperature and storage time had significant impact on the pollen viability. With the extension of storage time, the pollen activity decreased. 4 degrees C refrigerator storage may be extended the pollen vitality. (2) The stigma had receptivity in 1st day and reached the highest level in the 4th day after blooming. A. roxburghii lost receptivity in the 8th day while A. formosanus lost receptivity in the 10th day after blooming. (3) The different pollination had significant impact on seed setting rate. The seed setting rate of artificial cross-pollination was higher than that of the artificial self-pollination. Collecting pollen in the 3rd day and carrying out artificial cross-pollination in the 4th day after blooming can significantly improve seed setting rate. The results provided technical assurance for A. roxburghii and A. formosanus breeding of new varieties and seed breeding.
