Abstract?AlM:To discuss the feasibility of using the visual quality analyzer KR - 1W to guide the relatively personalized aspheric intraocular lens ( lOL ) implants to make the whole eye spherical aberration close to 0. 1μm.?METHODS: ln this prospective case series study, the corneal spherical aberration with 6mm aperture of 73 patients (100 eyes) was measured with KR-1W Visual Function Analyzer 1d before surgery. For the sake of the whole postoperative spherical aberration were close to 0. 1μm, 9 cases ( 16 eyes ) with corneal spherical aberration <0. 15μm were implanted Sofport Advanced Optic lOL, named AO group;45 cases ( 57 eyes ) with corneal spherical aberration 0. 25~0. 3μm were implanted AcrySof lQ lOL, named lQ group;19 cases (27 eyes) with corneal spherical aberration > 0. 35μm were implanted Tecnis ZA9003 lOL, named Tecnis group. Aspherical lOL was implanted after phacoemulsification through a cornea 2. 75mm incision without suture. Uncorrected visual acuity, beat corrected visual acuity, spherical aberration of the whole eye and jnternal optics (mainly lOL) at 6mm pupil diameter were examined at 3mo postoperatively. The relevant data were analyzed using t-test and variance analysis.?RESULTS: The whole ocular spherical aberration at 6mm pupil diameter in all postoperative were 0. 084 ± 0. 032μm;in Tecnis group, the data were 0. 091 ± 0. 021μm;in AO group, the data were 0. 0814-0. 013μm;lQ group were0. 093 ± 0. 042μm. There was no significantly different between the predicted value and actual value of ocular spherical aberration at 6 mm pupil diameter in all postoperative ( t = 1. 932, P = 0. 061 ) and in the three groups. The difference value in the predicted values of the preoperative spherical aberrations of the whole eye and the actual values after surgery was 0. 013±0. 041μm; there was no statistically significant difference ( F=2. 537, P=0. 091 ) . Respectively compared the uncorrected visual acuity and besta corrected visual acuity among three groups of postoperative, no significant difference were found (F=0. 897, P=0. 421;F=1. 423, P=0. 097).?CONCLUSlON: Personality selection of aspheric lOL based on preoperative corneal spherical aberration of patients is feasible and produces satisfactory target postoperative total spherical aberration.

Objective To explore the effects of vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP)on the ratio of CD4+CD25+Treg/CD4+T cell and the expression of TGF-β1 in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE)rats. Methods We randomly divided 60 healthy female Wistar rats into normal control group,EAE control group,VIP low-dose group and VIP high-dose group. We used myelin basic protein (MBP)+ complete adjuvant (CFA)to establish EAE model. Since the day of model construction, the low- and high-dose VIP groups received intraperitoneal injection of 4 nmol/kg (0.2 mL)and 16 nmol/kg (0.8 mL)of VIP every other day, respectively;normal control group and EAE group received injection of saline of 0.8 mL for 10 days in a row.We recorded the peak of neurological dysfunction score (NDS)changes in the rats, observed the pathological changes and GFAP+astrocyte activation in the brain at the morbidity peak of rats with HE staining, and detected the ratio of CD4+CD25+Treg/CD4+T in the spleen with FACS and TGF-β1 cytokine level in brain tissue with ELISA.Results The peak nerve dysfunction score was decreased in each VIP dose group. In normal control group, there were decreased inflammatory cell infiltration and decreased number of active astrocytes in the brain tissue. The degree of infiltration of inflammatory cells and astrocyte activation in VIP control groups were significantly lower than those in EAE group. The CD4+CD25+Treg/CD4+T cell ratio of the spleen tissue in each dose VIP treated group rats was higher than that in EAE control group. The cytokine level of TGF-β1 in the brain tissue increased in each VIP dose group in the dose-dependent manner. Conclusion Through up-regulating the ratio of CD4+CD25+Treg/CD4+T cell in the spleen tissue, increasing TGF-β1 content in brain tissue, and inhibiting the infiltration of inflammatory cells and the astrocyte activation,VIP plays an important role in prevention and control of EAE.

Objective To evaluate the imaging features of pneumonia caused by A (H1N1) influenza virus. Methods Imaging data of 51 patients with pneumonia caused by A H1N1 influenza were retrospectively reviewed. All patients underwent mobile chest radiographs and 44 patients underwent CT as well. On the basis of the lesion degree in the lung, the patients were classified into mild, moderate and serious types. Results Mild type showed patchy consolidation at chest imaging in 4 patients. Moderate type demonstrated consolidation and(or) ground -glass opacities more than 2 lung fields in 33 patients, including 30 bilateral and 3 unilateral. Serious type displayed diffuse consolidation and ground-glass opacities, probably accompanying with interstitial lesions in the lungs in 14 patients, including 6 patients with ARDS, 2 with infection and 1 with cutaneous emphysema. Conclusion The imaging features of pneumonia caused by A H1N1 influenza mainly manifest as consolidation and ground-glass opacities, probably accompanying with interstitial changes. The imaging findings show various in patients with infection. Some serious patients even develope to ARDS.

AIMTo evaluate the effects of dipfluzine on the expressions of E-selectin, P-selectin, and ICAM-1 and the infiltration of polymorphonuclear leukocytes in brain ischemia-reperfusion rats.
METHODSThe model of focal cerebral ischemia was established with the Zea-Longa occluding suture. Dipfluzine (0.25, 0.5 and 1 mg x kg(-1)), flunarizine 0.5 mg x kg(-1) and solvent were injected separately into lingual vein at 30 min after ischemia. The occluding suture was slowly taken away to cause reperfusion at 1 h after ischemia. Rats were decapitated under anesthesia at 24 h after ischemia-reperfusion and brains were immediately removed to do the following procedures. Effects of dipfluzine on morphology of the brain tissue were observed through hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining. By immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry technique and biochemical method, effects of dipfluzine on P-selectin, E-selectin, ICAM-1 and myeloperoxidase (MPO) were observed.
RESULTSDipfluzine could relieve pathological damages in the brain tissue after ischemia-reperfusion, and reduce the expressions of E-selectin, P-selectin and ICAM-1 and activities of MPO in dose-dependent manner.
CONCLUSIONDipfluzine depresses the expressions of P-selectin, E-selectin, and ICAM-1, which are correlated with their effects on the activities of MPO, suggesting that dipfluzine has anti-inflammation effect in certain extent and could protect brain tissue from ischemia-reperfusion injury.

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy and treatment-related toxicity of stereotactic body radiation therapy(SBRT)in patients with medically inoperable stage Ⅰ/Ⅱ non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC). Methods SBRT was applied to 30 patients, including clinically staged T1 ,T2(≤5cm)or T3(chest wall primary tumors only), N0, M0 ,biopsy-confirmed NSCLC. All patients were precluded from lobotomy because of physical condition or comorbidity. No patients developed tumors of any T-stage in the proximal zone. SBRT was performed with the total dose of 50 Gy to 70 Gy in 10 - 11 fractions during 12 - 15 days. prescription line was set onthe edge of the PTV. Results The follow-up rate was 100%. The number of patients who completed the 1-, and 2-year follow-up were 15, and 10, respectively. All 30 patients completed therapy as planned. The complete response(CR), partial response(PR)and stable disease(SD)rates were 37%, 53% and 3%, respectively. With a median follow-up of 16 months(range,4-36 months), Kaplan-Meier local control at 2 years was 94%. The 2-year overall survival was 84% and the 2-year cancer specific survival was 90%. Seven patients(23%)developed Grade 2 pneumonitis, no grade > 2 acute or late lung toxicity was observed. No one developed chest wall pain. Conclusions It is feasible to deliver 50 Gy to 70 Gy of SBRT in 10 - 11 fractions for medically inoperable patients with stage Ⅰ / Ⅱ NSCLC. It was associated with low incidence of toxicities and provided sustained local tumor control. The preliminary investigation indicated the cancer specific survival probability of SBRT was high. It is necessary to perform similar investigation in a larger number of patients with long-term follow-up.
