Objective To investigate the expression of integrin linked kinase (ILK) in endothelial progenitor cells (EPC) of cord blood from patients with preeclampsia and its relation to placenta perfusion. Methods Thirty patients with preeclampsia,including 18 mild preeclampsia and 12 severe preeclampsia cases,and thirty-five normal late pregnant women were enrolled into this study.The expression of ILK mRNA and protein in EPC of cord blood was determined with RT-PCR and Western blot respectively.The angiogenesis ability of EPC was examined by tube formation in vitro.Comparisons of ILK mRNA and protein expression were done by analysis of variance and their relations to vascular tube formation were analyzed by correlation analysis. Results (1) ILK mRNA expression in normal group was higher than that in preeclampsia group (0.64± 0.05 vs 0.45 ± 0.06,q=18.76,P＜0.05) and the ILK protein expression in normal group was also higher (32 ±2 vs 26±1,q=18.47,P＜0.05).While the ILK mRNA and protein expression in mild preeclampsia group were also higher than that of severe preeclampsia group (ILK mRNA:0.47±0.07 vs 0.39±0.08,q=5.13,P＜0.05;ILK protein:25±2 vs 20±2,q=4.72,P＜0.05).(2) The tube formation capacity in preeclampsia group was significantly lower than that in normal group (135± 7 vs 330 ± 8,q=152.70,P＜0.05) ; the capacity was even much lower in severe group than in mild group (116±8vs 148±6,q=5.42,P＜0.05).(3) There was positive correlation between ILK mRNA and protein expression and tube formation capacity; the correlation index for normal group was 0.69 and 0.73(P＜0.05),0.67 and 0.72 in preeclampsia group (P＜0.05),0.65 and 0.68 in mild preeclampsia group (P＜0.05) and 0.63 and 0.74 in severe preeclampsia group (P＜0.05). Conclusions Decreased ILK level of EPC in cord blood might play an important role in the development of preeclampsia.

ObjectiveTo investigate the clinicopathological characteristics of non-diabetic renal diseases (NDRD) in the patients with diabetes mellitus.MethodsClinicopatholigical data of 202 patients with diabetes mellitus and NDRD identified by renal biopsy from January 1st,2003 to December 31st,2010 were analyzed retrospectively.All the patients were divided into three groups:the young (≤35 years old),the middle-aged (36-59 years old) and the elder (≥60 years old).Clinicopathological characteristics were compared among 3 groups.ResultsIn the young group (n=33),42.4％ of patients presented as chronic glomerulonephritic syndrome,while 36.4％ as IgA nephropathy for pathology.In the middle-aged group(n=136),35.3％ of patients presented as chronic glomerulonephritic syndrome,27.2％ as nephritic syndrome,17.6％ as chronic renal failure,14.7％ as latent glomerulonephritis,and 5.1％ as acute renal failure,while42.6％ as IgA nephropathy for pathology.In the elder group(n=33),30.3％ of patients presented as nephritic syndrome,30.3％ as chronic renal failure,while 27.3％ as membranous nephropathy for pathology.ConclusionsIn clinical manifestation,young patients are mainly chronic glomerulonephritic syndrome,middle-aged patients are diversified,and elder patients are mainly nephritic syndrome andchronicrenalfailure. Inpathology, youngandmiddle-agedpatientsaremainlyIgA nephropathy,and elder patients are mainly membranous nephropathy.

Objective To explore the influence on the JNK signal transduction pathway by BaiHui-QuBin Scalp-acupuncture in rats of experimental acute intercerebral hemorrhage. Methods 192 healthy Wistar male rats were assigned into 3groups randomly:model group, model add pinprick group (to abbreviate:pinprick group), model add suppressor group(to abbreviate:suppressor group) ,containing 60 rats in each. All rats were induced be the intercerebral hemorrage model. Another 12 rats were assigned as the matched blank group. The pinprick group were acupunctured on the "Baihui" penetrating "Qubin". The influence surrounding the hamatoma of the proteinum expression of p-JNK of each group in deferent time phase point with the method of Western blot was observed. Results The results of expression of the proteinum p-JNK with the method of Western blot: all the rats after being made model appeared the phenomenon of the expression of p-JNK of rat's brain tissue surrounding the hematoma and increased to the peak in 2 days,but decreased gradually in 7days. In the same time phase point,compared with the model group,the expression of p-JNK of the pinprick group and the suppressor group were lower obviously (P ＜ 0.01). The pinprick group compared with the suppressor group, the expression of p-JNK showed no significant difference (P ＞ 0.05). Conclusion The therapy of BaiHui-QuBin Scalp-acupuncture could block the JNK signal tranaduction pathway, inhibit the expression of the proteinum p-JNK and so on have the function of protecting the nerve cell and inhibiting apoptosis.

Objective Expwre to the mechanism of the function of nerve protection to the secondary injury in the rat of intercerebral hemorrhage by acupuncture.Methods 160 healthy Wistar male rats were selected.The rats were assigned into 3 group randomly:model group,pinprick set,piracetam group.containing 50 rats in each.Each group were again divided into five time phase point of6 hours,1 day,2days,3days,7days.containing 10 rats in each.All rats were made to be the intercerebral hemorrhage model.Another 10 rats were assigned as the control.The pinprick group were acupunctured on the "Baihui" penetrating "Qubin".Results In the pinprick group,the expression 0fNGF of ratg brain dssue surrounding the hematoma was increased gradually and to the peak in 7days with the increasing of different time phase point.In the same time phase point,compare with the model group,the pinprick groupb expression of NGF was higher obviously.Both were relatively showed the significant difference(P＜0.01)and had statistical sigllificanle.Conclusion The therapy of acupuncture Can promote the expression of NGF of the rat'sbrain tissue surrounding the hematoma.

Objective To study the impact of active control of the trajectory of the center of gravity on the effectiveness of balance training and balance assessment. Methods Two groups of subjects ( group 1 30-45 years old, group 2 45-60 years old ) were evaluated and trained using both active center of gravity trajectory control and static balance methods. Results The percentages of success in controlling the center of gravity were the same when both groups were trained using static balance. Group 1's success percentage was higher than that of group 2 after active center of gravity trajectory training. Their affected lower limbs performed better in wave trace training than after static balance training, and performance improved with increased wave trace amplitude. Conclusions Wave tracing can stimulate the lower limbs of patients with active control force and improve their balance. The wave assessment is superior to static assessment, as it can objectively reflect ability in active center of gravity control and adjust the lower limbs of subjects whose static balance ability is at the same level.

Objective To explore the plasma ghrelin levels in children and adolescents with short stature and the role of ghrelin in growth hormone-releasing hormone-growth hormone(GHRH-GH) axis.Methods One hundred and fifty-seven children(115 male,42 female) with short stature were selected.Fasting plasma sample was extracted from 10 mL vemous blood of the children with short stature.Insulin tolerance test and arginine stimulation test was performed initially to differential diagnosis.And blood samples was divided into 3 ca-tegories:37 cases of complete growth hormone deficiency (CGHD),52 cases of partial growth hormone deficiency(PGHD) and 68 cases of idiopathic short stature(ISS) during these two growth hormone(GH)provocative tests.Controls consisted of age and gender-match 20 health children.Plasma ghrelin levels were measured by radioimmunoassay.Serum GH was detected by chemiluminescence method,and serum insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) was measured by using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay.Fasting glucose,insulin,testosterone,estra-diol,luteinizing hormone,follicle-stimulating hormone were measured.Statistical analysis were conducted by using SPSS 11.5 software.Results The fasting ghrelin levels of CGHD group were significantly lower than that of ISS group and control group(Pa0.05).The ghrelin levels were positive correlated with the stimulated GH peak(r=0.176 P0.05).Conclusion Ghrelin has an important role on GH secretion and abnormal secretion of ghrelin might be a reason of growth hormone deficiency which due to hypothalamic abnormality.
