Objective To investigate the effect of steroid hormones on lymphatic stomata of ovarian bursa and fluid adsorption. Methods The lymphatic adsorption was traced by trypan blue,and the ultrastructure of the lymphatic stomata and estrogen receptor level of mesothelial cells on ovarian bursa was observed by scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy and immuno-colloid golden technology. Results The absorption and opening area of lymphatic stomata were enhanced in estrogen group mice,and decreased in androgen group as compared to control group mice.Estrogen receptor was first identified in the nuclei of mesothelial cells on the inner layer of mice ovarian bursa and the level was down-regulated by estrogen and slightly up-regulated by androgen.Conclusion The absorption and the opening area of lymphatic stomata can be regulated by steroid hormones in mice,and the machanism may be related to the expression levels of estrogen receptor in the nuclei of mesothelial cells.

ObjectiveTo investigate the current status of hope in maintenance hemodialysis patients and analyze its influential factor,in order to provide reference for effective intervention.MethodsA total of 182 maintenance hemodialysis patients were recruited from 3 dialysis centers in Guangzhou and were investigated with the self-designed questionnaire,dialysis symptom Index,the Herth hope scale,simplified coping scale and social support scale.The data were analyzed by single-factor and multiple-factor analysis.ResultsThe average score of hope in maintenance hemodialysis patients was 31.83 ±3.69,and 87.91％ of patients got a moderate hope level.The average scores of present of symptom distress,degree of distress,active coping style,passive coping style and social support were 13.44 ± 5.63,35.27 ± 18.51,2.15 ± 0.28,1.56 ± 0.33 and 42.24 ± 4.09 respectively.Multiple linear regression indicated that symptoms presence,the symptoms distress degree,the passive coping style were the risk factors of hope level and the standard regression coefficient were - 0.098,- 0.424,- 0.104,P =0.047 ～ 0.000.The social support and the active coping style were the protective factors of hope level and the standard regression coefficient were 0.183,0.226,P=0.000.And they explained 96.2％ of the variance.ConclusionThe level of hope in maintenance hemodialysis patients is moderate.Symptom distress,the coping style and social support are factors influencing hope level of patients.

ObjectivesTo assess the cardiovascular function in obese children.MethodsA total of 30 obese children and 50 age- and sex-matched normal weight children were enrolled and treadmill test was performed. Exercise tolerance, the time to target heart rate and continuous T-wave alternans (TWA) during treadmill test were compared between two groups. ResultsCompared with normal weight children, the exercise tolerance was decreased and the time to target heart rate was shortened, while the incidence of continuous TWA was increased in obese children and there was signiifcant difference between two groups (P<0.01).ConclusionsObesity may lead to cardiovascular dysfunction in childhood which should be concerned.

ObjectiveTo investigate advantage and disadvantage of different rehabilitation therapies used for cerebral palsy (CP) children complicated with epilepsy (EP).Methods140 CP children complicated with EP screened from 1402 CP cases, were analyzed for CP and EP types, MRI or CT, brain stem auditory evoked potentials (BAEP). All cases were treated with anti-epilepsy drugs (AEDs). Different rehabilitation therapies, including electrotherapeutic modalities, acupuncture, point injection, cerebroprotein hydrolysate injection, manual therapy, functional training, Chinese herb braising therapy, and cattle encephalon glycoside and ignotin injection were assessed.ResultsIn all 140 cases, a majority of EP types were myoclonic seizure and west syndrome, CP type was spasticity. Abnormality showed in MRI or CT (98%) and BAEP (90%). AEDs were effective for all 140 cases. Electrotherapeutic modalities, acupuncture, point injection, and cerebroprotein hydrolysate injection could make EP severely, but manual therapy, functional training, Chinese herb braising therapy, cattle encephalon glycoside and ignotin injection had no adverse effects on EP cases.ConclusionThe principles of rehabilitation treatment for the CP children complicated with EP are taking AEDs early and in a long term, avoiding electrotherapeutic modalities, acupuncture, point injection, and cerebroprotein hydrolysate injection, using manual therapy, functional training, Chinese herb braising therapy, and cattle encephalon glycoside and ignotin injection.

Objective To investigate the preventive effect of oral ulcer using two methods in radio-therapeutic patients after tongue squamous cell carcinoma operation. Methods Thirty-six radiotherapeutic patients after tongue squamous cell carcinoma operation were collected from May 2012 to May 2014 and divided into control group and treatment group according to the random number table method. Regular oral nursing was administered to control group, treatment group were received regular therapy plus orally vitamin B and cetylpyridinium chloride gargle for gargling, and then evaluated the efficacy according related standards. Results Less oral ulcer (1/18 vs.7/18,χ2=-2.372,P<0.05), better oral lustration (Z=-2.093,P<0.05) and overall oral nursing effect (Z=-2.166,P<0.05) were observed in treatment group compared to control group after 7 days of therapy, however, treatment group presented no significantly better comfort level at the same time (Z=-1.708,P>0.05). Conclusions Regular therapy plus orally vitamin B and cetylpyridinium chloride gargle for gargling are effective for the prevention of oral ulcer in radiotherapeutic patients after tongue squamous cell carcinoma operation.

Objective To analyze the genotype distribution of human papillomavirus( HPV) strains and their epidemiological characteristics in cervixes of Chinese females. Methods Pertinent litera-tures published during 2004 to 2013 were screened from PubMed,China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI)and Wanfang database for data analysis. Results There were 245 studies screened out for the me-ta-analysis. A total of 661 658 cases met the inclusion criteria,ranging from 16 to 87 years old. All prov-inces and territories of China were covered by the data. The overall rate of HPV infection in cervix was 25. 0% among Chinese females. The predominant high risk genotype of human papillomavirus strains was HPV16,followed by HPV52,HPV58,HPV18,HPV33 and HPV31. HPV52 and HPV58 genotypes were more prevalent than HPV18 genotype. HPV35 and HPV45 genotypes were less popular. Conclusion The study suggested that the HPV infection showed obvious regional differences in genotypes. The genotype dis-tribution of HPV infection in China was different from that in other regions of the world. There were differ-ences with genotype distribution of HPV strains among seven geographic regions of China.

p70 ribosomal protein S6 kinase (p70S6K), an important member of AGC family, is a kind of multifunctional Ser/Thr kinases, which plays an important role in mTOR signaling cascade. The p70 ribosomal protein S6 kinase is closely associated with diverse cellular processes such as protein synthesis, mRNA processing, glucose homeostasis, cell growth and apoptosis. Recent studies have highlighted the important role of S6K in cancer, which arose interests of scientific researchers for the design and discovery of anti-cancer agents. Herein, the mechanisms of S6K and available inhibitors are reviewed.

Objective To explore the damage effect of high level of glucose on ECV304 cells and the approaches in which high level of glucose plays its part to provide theoretical bases for the therapy of diabetes.Methods ECV304 cells were divided into four groups:normal control,high glucose group in which glucose was added to the cells with final concentration of 35 mmol?L-1,Radix Astragali(RA) group in which glucose was added to the cells with final concentration of 35 mmol?L-1,as well as RA with final concentration of 500 mg?L-1,mannitol group in which mannitol was added to the cells with final concentration of 25 mmol?L-1.The cells were cultivated for 24 h after the glucose,RA and mannitol were added to the cells and collected for the determination of intracellular Ca2+ concentration,mitochondrial membrane potential and the morphological changes of cells and mitochondria were observed under electronic microscope.Results The intracellular Ca2+ concentration in the cells of high glucose group was significantly higher than those of RA group,mannitol group and normal control group(P

Objective To explore the imaging findings of branch duct intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (BD-IPMNs). Methods A total of 45 BD-IPMNs were confirmed by pathology after surgery.The clinical data and imaging findings were retrospec-tively reviewed.Image analysis included characteristics and the nature of the lesions.Finally,an ROC curve was performed to evaluate the differential diagnostic efficacy between benign and malignant lesions using the imaging findings.Results There were statistically significant differences for differential diagnosis of malignant and benign BD-IPMNs in the maximum diameter of the lesions and the MPD,walls,wall nodules,shape,and the atrophy of pancreatic parenchyma (P < 0.05 ).The diagnostic sensitivity,specificity, AUC and Kappa value of benign and malignant BD-IPMNs were 94.3%,90%,92.1% and 0.81 (P =0.000 1)respectively.Conclu-sion The imaging technology is valuable in diagnosing and differentiating malignant from benign BD-IPMNs.
