Objective To investigate the effects of Bushen Yangxue decoction combined with hormone replacement effects on sex hormone level and symptom score in patients with premature ovarian failure .Methods 112 patients with premature ovarian failure from March 2014 to November 2015 in Zhejiang Tongde Hospital were divided into two groups with 56 cases in each group.The control group was treated with hormone replacement therapy , the combined group was treated with Bushen Yangxue decoction on the basis of the control group.The curative effect was compared between the two groups, the sex hormone, traditional Chinese medicine symptoms score, QOL score and endometrial thickness were compared between the two groups before treatment, at the end of treatment and 3 months after discontinuation.Results At the end of the treatment, there was no significant difference in total effective rate between the combined group (91.07%) and the control group (85.71%).At the end of the treatment, the scores of TCM symptoms and QOL scores were significantly lower in the two groups, and the endometrial thickness was significantly higher (P<0.05), compared with the control group at the end of treatment,the combined group TCM symptom score was lower(P<0.05), QOL score and endometrial thickness had no significant difference, after stopping drug for three months, there was no significant difference in the levels of TCM score, QOL score, endometrial thickness between the two groups.In the control group TCM score, QOL score were significantly higher, and significantly higher than the levels of the same period of the combined group, endometrial thickness was significantly lower, and the level of the same period was significantly lower than that of the combined group(P<0.05), at the end of treatment, the two groups of FSH, LH significantly decreased, E2 significantly increased(P <0.05), there was no significant difference between the two groups, after stopping drug for three months, there was no significant difference in the levels of E2, LH, FSH.The control group, LH and FSH levels were lower and E2 levels were higher in the control group at three months after discontinuation compared with those at the end of treatment (P<0.05).Compared with the control group, LH and FSH levels were lower and E2 levels were higher in the combined group after 3 months of drug withdrawal (P<0.05).Conclusion Bushen Yangxue decoction combined with hormone substitution method can significantly increase in patients with premature ovarian failure of sex hormone level, improve the recovery of patients with ovarian function.

BACKGROUND: Although cultured technique and purified method of Schwann cells (SCs) are changed successively,purity is still limited. Whether double negative selections can culture high-purified SCs still needs a further study.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of double negative selections on growth and purity of SCs.DESIGN: Controlled animal study.SETTING: Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Beijing Tongren Hospital, Capital Medical University,and the Beijing Institution of Otolaryngology.MATERIALS: The experiment was carried out in the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Beijing Tongren Hospital, Capital Medical University and the Beijing Institution of Otolaryngology between May 2006 and July 2006. Twenty new-born Wistar rats of 3 days (without gender limitation) were provided by the Experimental Animal Center of the Chinese Medical Academy.METHODS: The sciatic nerves of rats were digested by 0.2% collagenase. ① Grouping: All the rats were divided into 4 groups with 5 each. The experimental group was depurated by differential adhesion and Ara-c for 30 minutes. SCs in the control group 1 and 2 were managed by differential adhesion and Ara-c for 30 minutes, respectively. Cells in the control group 3 were not purified. ② Evaluation: The cell growth was observed under invert microscope; growth curves were measured with MTT method in the experimental group and control group 3 to observe cell proliferation. In addition, the SCs were identified by immunocytochemistry; the culture purity was calculated (ratio of S100 positive cells in each sight).MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Growth of SCs; ② immunocytochemistry stain of SCs; ③ growth curve of SCs; ④ purity of SCs.RESULTS: ① Growth of SCs: At 5 days after incubation, the SCs proliferated well. SCs were spindle, bipolar and sometimes tripolar, with obvious nuclei and a little cytoplasm. There was more fibroblast cell in the group 3 than that in experimental group. ② Growth curve: The SCs in experimental group entered into the logarithm multiplication period at the third day. ③ Immunocytochemistry: The positive-stained SCs were brown in its body and process, and arranged like swirl. The FB with spread and anomaly shape was slight blue. ④ The ratio of anti-S100 positive cells was higher in experimental group than that in group 3 (P ＜ 0.01).CONCLUSION: With the double negative selection, high-purified SCs are obtained effectively.

Objective To observe the anti- inflammation and analgesic action and anti- urarthritis effect of modified Simiao prescription with polysaccharide removal and thus to screen the effective anti- gout components from modified Simiao prescription. Methods Mouse acetic- acid- induced twisting experiment, mouse xylene- induced auricular swelling experiment, and rat sodium- urate- induced pedal swelling experiment were carried out in this study. Results After the removal of polysaccharides, modified Simiao prescription still kept obvious anti- inflammation and analgesic action and in a dose- effect manner. Conclusion Polysaccharides removal has no influence on the anti- inflammation and analgesic action of modified Simiao prescription .

Objective:To observe the acoustic characteristics of glottal stops produced by patients with cleft palate.Methods:Twenty boys with cleft palate who were judged to be glottal-stop-producers and 20 normal peers were included. In their own way, all the children were asked to produce following sounds: /iu/ /pai/ /t′u/, /s/ /k′/ /p′u/ /t′u/, /tA/ /ku/ and /i/ /k′u/ /ti/ /suan/. Then the speech spectroanalysis and the comparison were performed by one investigator.Results:The acoustic characteristics of glottal stops changed a lot when they substitute or accompany with different oral stops, which included the emergence of spikes, changes of voice onset time, the formant transitions and spetroanalysis of spikes. Conclusion:The acoustic changes of glottal stops are complicated. Every single aspects of acoustic analysis should be considered in the identification of the acoustic characteristics.

Total 52 patients with breast lesions underwent dynamic contrast-enhanced breast MRI; and the breast vascularization was scored on the MRI vascular maps with a range of 0 to 3. The mean number of vessels per ipsilateral breast in malignant cases was higher than that of benign cases (3.8±2.0 vs. 1.3± 1.0; P=0.000). When the breast vascularity score 0-1 was defined as benign and 2-3 was defined as malignant, the sensitivity and specificity was 79% and 83%, respectively. Results indicate that dynamic contrast-enhanced breast MRI is of value in diagnosis of malignant breast lesions.

Objective: By observing the differences in Western Ontario and McMaster Universities osteoarthritis index (WOMAC) and visual analog scale (VAS) scores in moxibustion treatment for moderate-to-severe primary knee osteoarthritis (KOA) with moxa of different storage years (3-year moxa and 1-year moxa from Qichun, Huanggang City, Hubei Province, China) through a randomized clinical trial, to objectively evaluate the differences in therapeutic efficacy of moxibustion with moxa of different storage years. Methods: A total of 63 patients with moderate-to-severe KOA who met the inclusion criteria were randomized into moxibustion group 1 and moxibustion group 2 by central randomization method, with 32 cases in moxibustion group 1 and 31 cases in moxibustion group 2. Moxibustion group 1 was treated with moxa stored for 3 years, and moxibustion group 2 was treated with moxa stored for 1 year. Dubi (ST 35), Neixiyan (EX-LE 4) and Heding (EX-LE 2) were selected in both groups, and the treatment lasted 20 min per time, 3 times a week. The immediate efficacy was compared after 6 times of treatment, and long-term efficacy was compared at follow-up 4 weeks after the end of treatment. Results: During the treatment, there were 2 dropouts in moxibustion group 1, and 1 dropout in moxibustion group 2. The total effective rate in the two groups was 83.3％ and 60.0％, respectively. Followed up at 4 weeks after the end of treatment, the total effective rate in the two groups was 80.0％ and 66.7％, respectively. There were no statistical differences between the two groups (both P>0.05). After treatment and 4 weeks after the end of treatment, the WOMAC and VAS scores in both groups decreased significantly compared with those before treatment (all P<0.01); the scores of stiffness item of WOMAC in moxibustion group 1 were lower than those in moxibustion group 2 (both P<0.05); there were no statistical differences in the scores of pain item and dysfunction item of WOMAC, and VAS scores between the two groups (all P>0.05). Conclusion: Moxibustion with moxa of different storage years (stored for 3 years and 1 year) both can improve the pain, stiffness and motor function in patients with moderate-to-severe KOA. While moxa stored for 3 years has a better therapeutic efficacy in improving stiffness of the knee joint than that stored for 1 year.

Purpose Cortex is one of the frequently involved sites of multiple sclerosis (MS),and the cortex and corpus callosum lesions of MS are gradually concerned.The study aims to observe the changes of cerebral cortex and corpus callosum of MS in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) model by using 7.0T MRI diffusion tensor imaging (DTI).Materials and Methods Twenty female C57BL/6 mice of 6-8 week old were enrolled in the study,10 of which were induced by MOG35-55 to make EAE models and the rest 10 of which were taken as control group.On the 20 days after model establishment,the head T2WI and DTI were performed on both control and EAE mice.DTI quantitative indicators such as fractional anisotropy (FA),mean diffusivity (MD),axial dispersion coefficient λ//,and radial dispersion coefficient λ ⊥ in region of interest including bilateral prefrontal cortex,bilateral cingulate cortex and corpus callosum were compared between the two groups.Results No obvious lesions were observed on the T2WI in both control and EAE groups.In the experimental group,the FA mapping suggested the integrity of the left side of the corpus callosum was destroyed.The FA,MD,λ// λ ⊥ of bilateral prefrontal cortex and corpus callosum showed significant difference between experimental group and control group (P＜0.05);the increase of λ ⊥ in bilateral cingulate was significantly different from that in the control group.Meanwhile,HE staining in the experimental group showed that inflammatory cells gathered around the cortical and subcortical vessels.The LFB staining in experimental group showed a bit paler than that in the control group,and the corpus callosum showed patchy demyelination.Conclusion The technique of 7.0T MRI DTI sequence can detect cortex and corpus callosum lesions which cannot be found by conventional MRI,so that it provides radiological evidence for the study of MS with cortex and corpus callosum lesions.

Objective To monitor the distribution of class 1 integrons of Acinetobacter baumannii and interpret the association of class 1 integrons with the resistance in clinical isolates.Methods Susceptibility to 14 different antimicrobial agents was determined by agar dilution method.DNA of all clinical isolates was extracted to detect class 1 integrons by PCR.Results The differences between integron-positive isolates and integron-negative isolates was significant in the resistance to all tested antibiotics except for Imipenem,Cefepime and Cefoperazone plus Sulbactam.Different types of class 1 integrons showed different resistance types.Conclusions There were some close relations of class 1 integrons with multi-drug resistance as well as resistance types in Acinetobacter baumannii.
