Cutaneous wound healing is a complicated multiatep process with numerous mediators that act in a network of activation and inhibition processes. Nonhealing chronic wounds decrease the quality of Life. Recombinant growth factors, currently used in clinic, fail to provide a sustained repair function at the wound due to their inadequate biological availability and transient half-time. Recent attention has focused on gene therapy, which might become a significant treatment modality for those wound healing pathologies refractory to other wound management approaches. This review discusses the potentials and limitations of current genetherapy for the treatment of wounds, current ongoing clinical trials, and possible future directions in this exciting field.

Ligustrazine is one of the active ingredients of chuanxiong. Modern medical research indicated that ligustrazine had the effect of improving microcirculation, anti-inflammatory, anti-fibrosis, which showed the potential function of ligustrazine in the prevention and treatment of postoperative abdominal adhesions. The basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) also believed that ligustrazine had the unique double effect of regulating both qi and blood. Therefore, ligustrazin had broad research and application prospects in the prevention and treatment of postoperative abdominal adhesions. This article reviewed studies of ligustrazine in the prevention and treatment of postoperative abdominal adhesions in recent years from four aspects, which were theoretical basis, clinical application, mechanism research and pharmaceutical dosage forms. It identified the research status and advantages of ligustrazine in the prevention and treatment of postoperative abdominal adhesions. It also pointed out shortages in the clinical application, such as unstandardized medication, small sample size study and etc. There were insufficient deep and clear studies in the research of mechanism. In the aspect of pharmaceutical dosage forms, the thinking should be expanded with innovation. It will provide basis and direction for research and application in the future, in order to further elucidate mechanisms in the prevention and treatment of postoperative abdominal adhesions as well as provide theory basis, research thinking and methods for the real display of advantages in TCM.

Objective: To investigate the efficacy of mifepristone in patients with Cushing's syndrome and the incidence of adverse reactions to provide basis for its clinical use.Methods: One case of Cushing's syndrome treated with mifepristone participated by pharmacist was analyzed.Results: Mifepristone could significantly improve hyperlipidemia and the complications of the patient, meanwhile, the risk of hypoglycemia should be paid attention and insulin therapy should be withdrawn timely.Conclusion: Mifepristone can significantly reduce blood glucose levels and improve the appearance of Cushing.At the same time, the level of serum potassium needs close monitoring to avoid the occurrence of hypokalemia.

Objective　To investigate the relationship between P300 of auditory event-related potential (ERP) and age, sex in healthy people. Methods　Auditory P300 was tested in 60 healthy people of different ages and the results were analyzed by t-test and the linear correlation. Results　The peak-latency (PL) and amplitude (Amp) of P300 were significantly different between the less than 59-year-old group and the more than 60-year-old group. For all subjects tested, age had positive linear correlation with PL of P300 and negative linear correlation with Amp of P300. There is no significantly sex difference in healthy people. Conclusion　There is influence of age on auditory P300. The PL is increased and the Amp is decreased with aging.

Objective To compare the efficacy of liposuction and open surgery for patients with accessory breast.MethodsA total of 73 patients with accessory breast,who were treated in our hospital from June 2000 to December 2007,were enrolled in this study and divided into open surgery(June 2000 to June 2004,43 patients with accessory breast at 80 sides)and liposuction(April 2004 to December 2007,30 cases with accessory breast at 58 sides)groups.The outcomes of the patients,operation time,and intraoperative blood loss in the two groups were compared.Results The curative rate of the both groups were 100%.However,the open surgery group had more blood loss [(49.6?13.3)ml vs(28.9?6.9)ml,t=10.836,P=0.000] and longer operation time[(57.4?11.1)min vs(27.3?4.3)min,t=19.597,P=0.000].Conclusions Compared with open surgery,liposuction leads to quicker recovery and less trauma without leaving scars,and thus is more acceptable to the patients.

Objective To explore the prognostic factors of endometrial carcinoma.Methods 166 patients with endometrial carcinoma in Cancer Hospital of Shantou University Medical College from May 1996 to June 2009 were analyzed retrospectively.Prognostic factors were analyzed by univariate analysis.Results The total 5-year survival rate of 166 cases was 86.7 ％.The univariate analysis showed that the age,deep myometrial invasion,lymph-node metastasis and operative-pathological staging were significantly associated with the prognosis (P ＜ 0.05).As well as,according to muhivariate Cox proportional-hazard model,3 independent factors as the age,deep myometrial invasion and lymph-node metastasis were related significantly to overall survival (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions The 5-year survival rate of endometrial carcinoma is high.The age,deep myometrial invasion and lymph-node metastasis are independent prognostic factors of endometrial carcinoma.

Objective To observe the effects ofLinggan Wuwei Jiangxin Decoction on contents of cAMP, cAMP dependent PKA and AQP5 of model rats with clod phlegm-fluid lying latent in the lung asthma;To discuss its mechanism.Methods Ovalbumin intraperitoneal injection and atomization motivation + cold stimulation were used to establish models. Ninety rats were randomly divided into blank control group, model group, hexadecadrol group, andLinggan Wuwei Jiangxin Decoction low-, medium-, high-dose groups. All administration groups were treated with relevant medicine. The levels of cAMP, PKA, and AQP5 were detected by ELISA.Results Compared with the blank control group, the levels of cAMP, PKA, and AQP5 of rats in model group decreased obviously (P<0.05). Compared with the model group, the levels of cAMP, PKA, and AQP5 of rats in all administration groups increased (P<0.05), which increased dramatically inLinggan Wuwei Jiangxin Decoction high-dose group.ConclusionLinggan Wuwei Jiangxin Decoction can regulate the normal secretion of cAMP, PKA, and AQP5 in serum of rats with clod phlegm-fluid lying latent in the lung asthma, increase secretion of air passage liquid and decrease mucoprotein concentration, through which plays the role of treating asthma.

Clinical practice is a key step that students take to become doctors.This paper does research in clinical teaching methods for ophthalmology through analyzing current problem of clinical practice in ophthalmology.In the clinical teaching,we should strength the building up of clinical teachers,stimulate students' interest and activity,take PBL(problem-based learning) into teaching method,make use of the principle of optimization medical care and the evidence-based medicine in clinical practice teaching,strength medical students' legal consciousness and cultivate capability of building up cooperative doctor-patient relationship,and improve quality of clinical teaching.

Objective To establish a quantitative method for Astraloside in Xingnao Zaizao Capsules by HPLC-ELSD. Methods HPLC-ELSD separation was achieved on Phenomenex Gemini C18 column (250 mm?4.60 mm, 5 ?m) and mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-water (36∶64). The flow rate was 1.0 mL/min, drift tube temperature was 105 ℃, and gas flow rate was 2.7 L/min. Results The calibration curve was linear in the range of 0.486～2.43 ?g (r=0.999 7). The average recovery rate was 100.5% (n=6), RSD was 0.3%. Conclusion The method is rapid, accurate and reliable, and the method can be used as the quality standard for Xingnao Zaizao Capsules.
