1.Discussion on polysaccharide determination methods in new Chinese drug research.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2014;39(17):3392-3394
According to existing problems in polysaccharide determination methods in new Chinese drug applications, the method suitability, chemical reference selection, components interference and method research were introduced. The author suggests that suitable determination method should be selected according to the structure and property of the polysaccharide, and validated. Some influent factors should be examined to assure the accuracy of the method, such as the stability and using amount of the visualizing reagent, visualizing time, maximum detection wavelength etc. Monosaccharide and other water soluble components should be removed from polysaccharide sample, and suitable reference substance and detection wavelength should be selected. It should pay attention to mutual interference of neutral and acidic saccharide, and use inhibitor to eliminate the interference. Because the slopes of the standard curves are different for different monosaccharide, it is proposed that the types and ratios of the monosaccharide in heteroglycan should be understood, and mixed reference substance solution in the ratio is prepared for determination.

International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2015;(3):306-307
Objective To investigate the antibacterial activity of Schisandra to Acinetobacter baumannii including metallo-β-lac-tamase(MBL)-producing and non-MBL-producing stains in vitro. Methods 75 strains of Acinetobacter baumannii were preliminary screened for clinical isolates of MBL-producing strains,to which confirmatory tests of MBL producing were performed.Drug sensi-tivities of the Acinetobacter baumannii to 14 antibacterial drugs were tested. In vitro antibacterial tests was adopted to determine the MIC of schisandra to 75 strains of Acinetobacter baumannii(including MBL and non-MBL-producing Acinetobacter baumannii).Re-sults MBL confirmatory test showed that among the 50 strains selected 38 strains were positive accounted for 76% (38/50).Con-clusion Schisandra has some antibacterial effect on Acinetobacter baumannii especially MBL-producing Acinetobacter baumannii, and can be combined with western medicine in the treatment of Acinetobacter baumannii infection.

Objective To explore connotative quality of how to improve the electronic medical records. Methods Combining with the ways of improving connotative quality in fact, the advantages and common defects of electronic medical records were reviewed and some suggests were brought forward. Results The connotative quality of electronic medical records could be enhanced by specific quality standards, the implementation of quality control of section links and the emphasis quality control suited to expert's specialty, at the same time, the connotative quality of electronic medical records was raised by monitor methods of informationazition platform. Conclusion Improving the whole medical level of hospitals is the crux of raising the connotative quality of medical records.

Journal of China Pharmaceutical University 2001;(3):221-223
AIM The purpose is to study the anti-arrhythmic effects of extracts from cultured Cordyceps sinensis. METHODS Aconitine and barium chloride were used to induce experimental arrhythmia models in rats. RESULTS The results showed that PE was more potent than other ingredients. Pretreatment with PE by oral administration significantly antagonized arrhythmia induced by aconitine. PE significantly prolonged the onset of arrhythmia, decreased the duration and diminished the degree of severity. And in barium chloride-induced arrhythmia model, PE had some anti-arrhythmia effect, which could diminish the degree of severity effectively to some extent. CONCLUSION PE is an active component to antagonize arrhythmia induced by aconitine and barium chloride.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the features of adverse drug reaction(ADR) in our hospital and evaluate the quality of ADR report in order to promote rational clinical drug use and find out the existing problems in the report. METHODS: Microsoft Excel was designed to analyze statistically the sex and age of the patients, category of the used drugs and the clinical manifestations of ADR in 311 cases of ADR report collected between 2002 and 2005.RESULTS: The occurrence of ADR induced by antibacterials ranked the first.ADR affecting skin and its appendages counted for 50% of the total. The numbers of ADR reports were found to be less than expected.CONCLUSIONS: Professional staff training should be strengthened, the use of antibacterials should be rationalized to lessen and avoid the occurrence of ADR.

Cancer Research and Clinic 2016;28(2):82-85
Objective To investigate the role of Th17 cells in chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) pathogenesis. Methods 33 CML patients [15 newly diagnosed (ND)- and 18 chronic-phase (CP)- CML patients] and 15 healthy controls were enrolled. The percentage of Th17 cells in the peripheral blood (PB) of CML and controls were evaluated by flow cytometry. RORC mRNA expressions were examined by real-time quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The levels of IL-17 in PB of CML and controls were measured by enzyme-linked immunoadsorbent assay (ELISA). The relationships between Th17 cells and clinical characteristics in CML were analyzed. Results The percentage of Th17 cells in PB of ND-CML patients [(0.71±0.41) %] was significantly lower than that of CP-CML patients [(4.08±0.74) %, P<0.05] and healthy controls [(3.18±1.32) %, P<0.05]. The mRNA level of RORC in PB of ND-CML patients (0.043 3±0.040 5) was significantly decreased compared with that in CP-CML patients (0.086 1±0.052 3, P<0.05) and healthy controls (0.091 0±0.058 4, P<0.05). The levels of IL-17 in PB of ND-CML patients [(1.43±0.22) pg/ml] and CP-CML patients [(1.36±0.19) pg/ml] were slightly higher than that of healthy controls [(1.23±0.14) pg/ml, P< 0.05]. The percentage of Th17 cells had significantly negative correlations with white blood cell counts in PB or bcr-abl (IS). Conclusion Th17 cells may play an important role in CML pathogenesis, which has potential implication for immunotherapy of this malignancy.
