Herpetin (HPT) is an active monomer constituent isolated from lignanoid in seeds of Herpetospermum caudigerum. HPT shows inhibitory effects in hepatic injury and HBV-DNA and the replication. In the study, we successfully prepare herpetin liposomes by film dispersion method for the first time. The prescription process was optimized, with the entrapment efficiency as the index. According to the optimized prescription, the mass ratio of HPT: phospholipids: cholesterol was 2.44:78.05: 19.51, the hydration and de-molding process was performed with 0.5% F68 solution at 50 degrees C, and the water-bath ultrasonic time was 20 min. The HPT liposomes prepared by this method showed an average entrapment efficiency of (94.50 +/- 2.15)% and a particle size of (119.2 +/- 10.7) nm, which was consistent with the trial expectations and will lay a solid foundation for the hepatic targeting delivery system in future.

Objective To study the pathogenesis of lower limb motor disorder in vascular parkinsonism(VP)using diffusion tensor image(DTI). Methods A case?control study was performed in a cohort of 16 VP patients and 32 PD patients. Patients were all recruited from the first affiliated hospital of China Medical University from Dec. 2011 to Dec. 2012. The lower limb motor function of those patients was assessed using measurement scales. All patients received magnetic resonance image(MRI)and diffusion tensor image(DTI). Results Patients in VP group showed more seri?ous movement disorders such as freezing of gait(gait ignition failure)than these in PD group, and the movement disorders of their lower limbs prog?ress more rapidly in VP group than the PD group. Movement disorders of their lower limbs in VP group were related to fibers in bilateral frontal lobes (P=0.008). Movement disorder of their lower limbs in PD group were related to fibers in substantia nigra(P=0.030). There are statistically signifi?cant differences in both the FA values of substantia nigra, bilateral frontal lobes and the ADC values of frontal lobes, and the pars compacta and pars reticulata of substantia nigra between these two groups(all P<0.05). Conclusion Movement disorders of bilateral lower limbs are more seriously manifested in VP patients than in PD patients. The onset movement dysfunction of bilateral lower limbs is closely related to fibers in the frontal lobe.

OBJECTIVETo study the possible relationship between serum ferritin levels and susceptibility to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children.
METHODSThe papers relating to the relationship between serum ferritin levels and susceptibility to childhood ADHD were searched in the Database CBM, CNKI, VIP and PubMed. The Meta-analysis software RevMan 5.0 was used for the heterogeneity test and for the pooled OR calculation. Sensitivity and publication bias analysis were performed.
RESULTSFive control studies were included for the Meta analysis, including 258 cases of ADHD and 138 control cases. There was heterogeneity in the studies on the relationship between serum ferritin levels and susceptibility to childhood ADHD (P=0.003). So the studies were analyzed using the random-effect model. The pooled OR of serum ferritin levels and susceptibility to childhood ADHD was -23.09 (95%CI:-33.06-13.13; P<0.00001). The funnel plots did not indicate the existence of publication bias.
CONCLUSIONSThe results from present Meta analysis can prove that serum ferritin levels are associated with susceptibility to childhood ADHD.

Mycena subpiligera, a new taxon in sect. Fragilipedes that can strongly enhance the germination efficiency of Gastrodia elata seeds, was discovered in subtropical areas of China. As revealed by a morphological comparison with related Mycena species as well as maximum likelihood (ML) and Bayesian phylogenetic analyses based on sequences of the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) and the large subunit (LSU) regions of nuclear ribosomal RNA, the new taxon can be distinguished from phenotypically similar and phylogenetically related species. Optimal cultural conditions for M. subpiligera basidiomata are reported, and the germination rate of the new species is compared with that of M. citrinomarginata.

Objective To investigate the effect of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUC-MSCs) on autophagy and the secretion of chemokine receptor CXCR4 induced by low-dose immunosuppressive durgs. Methods Flow cytometry was used to detect the changes of hUC-MSCs surface markers after treatment with low-dose tacrolimus and rapamycin. The effect of treatment with tacrolimus and rapamycin on proliferation of hUC-MSCs was analyzed with WST-1 assay.Regular RT-PCR was applied to analyze the mRNAs expression of ligands such as LC3B,Atg5 and Beclin1 in hUC-MSCs.Western blotting was carried out to detect the expression of LC3B,Atg5,Beclin1 and p-ULK1 in hUC-MSCs after treatment with tacrolimus and rapamycin. The secretion of chemokine receptor CXCR4 in hUC-MSCs was analyzed under the state of autophay by flow cytometry. Results Flow cytometry analysis confirmed low-dose immunosuppressive drugs tacrolimus and rapamycin did not cause changes in hUC-MSCs phenotypes significantly.Low-dose tacrolimus had no cytotoxic effect on hUC-MSCs,while,rapamycin could inhibit the proliferation of hUC-MSCs after 24 h or 48 h,with survival rate being 73.66% and 68.81% (P<0.05) of controls, respectively. Moreover, both tacrolimus and rapamycin could inhibit PI3K/AKt/mTOR signaling pathway to activate hUC-MSCs autophagy, and the related proteins of LC3B,Atg5 and Beclin1 increased significantly and induced the up-regulation of CXCR4 secretion. Conclusion Our results here demonstrated that low-dose tacrolimus and rapamycin induce autophagy in hUC-MSCs and promote the secretion of CXCR4.
