Chinese Journal of Immunology 1985;0(05):-
To prepare monoclonal antibodies for blocking acute hemorrhagic conjunctivitis (AHC)viruses,BALB/C mice were immunized with Hela cells. The spleen of immunemouse was re-moved,and spleen cells were fused with SP2/0 cells. The antibodies against cell receptors wereselected by cell protection assay.Four cell strains secreted McAbs designated R7.R8.R16 andR24 were screened to be able to block cellular receptors and inhibit the infection of Ev70 as wellas CA24v on Hela cell. These results demonstrate that the receptors for Ev70 and CA24v are si-miliar.Indirect immunofluorescence test with the four McAbs showed definite fluorescence onliving Hela cells, which the intensity was concordance with the mean intensity resulted fromflowcytometer.Positive reaction on fixed Hela cells were only observed with R7 and R8.

Purpose:To investigate fMRI and DTI in the assessment of cortical visual impairment in children with periventricular leukom-alacia ( PVL).Materials and Methods: Twenty-four children with PVL were enrolled.Meanwhile,24 age-matched normal controls were recruited for comparison.fMRI scan was performed using a 3.0T MR scanner.Data analysis was performed by statistical parametric mapping software (SPM2).Activated voxels were identified in both groups,t test was used for statistical analysis.DTI was performed by MedlNRIA software and DTI color maps were created from fractional anisotropy (FA) values and the three vector elements,FA values on diffusion tensor color maps were compared between the patients and the controls.AH the FA values of these WM fibers were analyzed by paired t test. The correlation was calculated between FA values and activated voxels of visual cortex for PVL children using SPSS10.0.Results: In all 24 normal children, the maximum response of blood oxygen level-dependent (BOLD) signal was located in the primary visual cortex ( PVC).However, some of the 24 cases of PVL had deviated activation. The active voxels of patients in visual cortex were less than that of controls. All 24 cases of PVL showed a significant mean FA reduction in ICPL and PTR in comparison to the ipsilateral regions of healthy controls. The significantly positive correlation was shown between FA values and activated voxels of visual cortex for PVL children. Conclusion:fMRI and DTI play an important role in the assessment of cortical visual impairment in children with PVL.

Cancer Research and Clinic 2006;0(08):-
Adrenomedulin is an angiogenesis peptide that was found recently. It plays a critical role as an autocrine/paracrine tumor cell survival factor.Recently, adrenomedulin has been proved that it is overex- pressed in tumor, such as breast cancer. It may have a significant role in tumor progression and differentiation by stimulating mitogenic activities, inhibiting immune response, inhibiting apoptosis and enhancing angiogen- esis.We may realize targeted therapy tumor by intervening adrenomedulin, its receptor, and the signal con- duction pathway.

Objective To explore the cytotoxicity of the cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) induced by SW480 sonicate sensitized dendritic cells (DC) on the colon cancer cell line SW480. Methods PBMC were separated from the HLA-A*0201 donor and DC were cultured with rhGM-CSF, rhIL-4 and rhTNF-α. The same donor's primary CTL were stimulated by DC loaded with SW480 sonicate. The cytotoxicity of CTL on SW480 (HLA-A*0201 positive) and K562 (HLA-A*0201 negative) was determined by the MTT method. Results The cytotoxicity of the CTL on SW480 was stronger than that on K562 (P <0.05). Conclusion The DC vaccine can stimulate specific CTL which can trigger cytotoxic activity on the target cells and this cytotoxicity is related to MHC restriction.

Objective To explore the clinical features of methylmalonic acidemia (MMA) in children admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit, to help improve our understanding of MMA. Methods The clinical data of 21 patients with MMA admitted to our PICU from December 2012 to August 2016 were analyzed. Diagnosis were confirmed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, GC/MS. Results twenty-four of 158 suspected cases were confirmed as having organic acidemia diseases including 21 cases of MMA, one case of propionic acidemia, one case of urea cycle disorders, and one case of glutaric acidemia. The main clinical manifestations were feeding difficulty, malnutrition (13 cases), developmental retardation (12 cases), lethargy (10 cases), tricuspid severe reflux and pulmonary hypertension (1 case), hydrocephaly (5 cases), muscular dystonia (three cases with hypertonia, and four with hypotonia), convulsion (7 cases), apnea, sobbing respiration (10 cases), chromatosis (6 cases), anemia (13 cases), edema (6 cases), thrombocytopenia (6 cases), hematuria and proteinuria (2 cases). Five cases gave up therapy before diagnosis was made. Sixteen cases received the treatment with Vitamin B12 and supplementation of L-carnitine. Seven cases gave up after treatment without effect or deterioration of condition. Eight cases were vitamin B12-responsive, and one case was vitamin B12-nonresponsive. The follow-up for a period ranging from three months to two years, among eight vitamin B12-responsive cases, 6 cases showed a favorable outcome with apparent improvement, one case had no symptom and one patient died from severe pneumonia. Vitamin B12-nonresponsive case was still alive. Conclusions The clinical manifestations of MMA are non-specific. Urine organic acid analysis is critical to early diagnosis of MMA in high-risk patients. Timely diagnosis and appropriate long-term treatment are essential to improve the prognosis of the disease.
