Objective To observe the distribution of TCM syndromes in patients with functional constipation (FC). Methods One hundred and five cases of patients with FC were analyzed with relevant factors and summarized to syndromes of FC by cluster analysis. Results There was a correlation between distribution of syndromes of FC and patient's age, job occupation, course of disease, incentives and patient's eating habits. The distribution of syndromes analyzed by cluster analysis was consistent with diagnostic criteria. Conclusion The syndromes of FC are divided into heat constipation, qi constipation, deficiency constipation and cold constipation. Among these syndromes, the number of excess constipation patients especially heat constipation is more than the number of others.

Immune mediated liver injury plays a key role in the immunopathogenesis of viral hepatitis and autoimmune hepatitis. The phathogenesis of liver injury involved various kinds of cells including lymphocytes, mononuclear macrophages (Kupffer cells), endothelial cells, stallete cells and liver parenchymal cells. Activation of lymphocytes is the initial step of liver damage, and then that the liver macrophages and NK cells. Crosstalk between these cells expands the damage of liver tissues. Cytokines produced by CD8 + cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) and CD4 + Th cells and other inflammatory cells lead to the persistent infection and liver injury of patients. To protect hepatocytes against cytopathic effect induced by invalid immune response will provide further insight into the development of new anti hepatitis drugs.

Objective To investigate the clinical effects of VATS lobectomy and VATS segmentectomy in the treatment of old age patients with non small cell lung cancer for stage Ⅰ.Methods 140 patients with non small cell lung cancer for stage Ⅰ were chosen and randomly divided into two group including group A(70 patients)with VATS lobectomy and group B(70 patients)with VATS segmentectomy;and the perioperative clinical indicators,level of lung function and CRP before and after operation and survival rate with follow-up of both groups were compared.Results The operation time,intraoperative blood loss amount,chest drainage volume and time and hospitalization staying time of group B[(118.15±33.61)min,(59.25±10.61)ml,(641.56±135.17)ml,(3.42±0.77)d and(5.08±1.32)d] were significantly better than group A[(135.33±40.10)min,(83.33±14.15)ml,(783.89±180.61)ml、(4.38±0.94)d和(6.52±1.58)d](P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the number of lymph node dissection between group A(12.67±2.64)and group B(12.38±2.58)(P<0.05).The levels of FVC and FEV1 after operation of group B was significantly higher than group A(P<0.05).The levels of CRP after operation of group B was significantly lower than group A(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the 1 year survival rate with follow-up between group A(94.29%)and group B(94.29%)(P>0.05).Conclusion Compared with VATS lobectomy,VATS segmentectomy in the treatment of old age patients with non small cell lung cancer for stage Ⅰ can efficiently reduce surgical trauma degree,accelerate the recovery process of body,protect the lung ventilation function and be helpful to reduce the inflammatory response levels.

Aim Inflammation is a common characteristic of liver injury induced by hepatitis virus or other factors.The purpose of this paper was to study the modulating effect of bicyclol,a novel anti-hepatitis drug,on related inflammatory molecules.Methods Various non-cytotoxic concentrations of bicyclol were cultured with macrophage RAW264.7 line or mouse peritoneal macrophages for 1 h,and then added adequate lipopolysaccharide(LPS)to activate macrophages.NO and TNF-? levels in the supernatant of the culture medium were determined with Griess reagent and L929 cell bioassay,respectively.The iNOS expression and NF-?B activation were detected by Western blot method.Results Pretreatment of 0.1～0.5 mmol?L-1 bicyclol significantly inhibited NO release and TNF-? secretion from RAW264.7 cell line and mouse peritoneal macrophages induced by 1 mg?L-1 LPS in concentration dependent manners and 0.5 mmol?L-1 bicyclol also down-regulated LPS(1 mg?L-1)-induced iNOS expression and NF-?B activation in the cells.Conclusion Bicyclol has suppressive effect on related inflammatory molecules iNOS expression and NF-?B activation,indicating that bicyclol possesses anti-inflammatory property.

Aim To apply sodium channels isolated and purified from rat brain and rat skelatal muscle sarcolemma to the study conotoxin.Methods Crude isolations of sodium channels were purified by 3 kinds of chromatography.The interaction between the sodium channels and conus betulinus was studied by the ligand binding experiment.Result The sequential chromatography resulted in 370-fold purification from rat brain and 2436-fold purification from rat skeletal muscle.Average specific binding active sites of purified sodium channels increased to 321 nmol?g-1 for rat brain and 268 nmol?g-1 for rat skeletal muscle respectively;Studying the interaction between venom from conus betulinus and the purified sodium channels indicated the fraction Ⅴ8 showed the highest affinity for the binding sites of the purified sodium channels.Conclusion Rat brain sodium channel and rat skeletal muscle sodium channel were purified to high purity;the fraction Ⅴ8 has the similar effect to that of the traditional ?-conotoxin.

AIM: To observe the curative effect of Sanguis Draconis combined with salicylazosulfapyridine(SASP) in the treatment of non-specific ulcerative colitis(UC). METHODS : 40 cases with UC were divided into the treatment group(20 cases) and the control group(20 cases). Both groups were given SASP per-orally and retention-enema to treat the disease. In addition,the treatment group was also given Sanguis Draxconis per-orally and retention-enema. RESULTS : The short-term curative rate,the total effective rate and the recurrence rate were 60%,95% and 15.8% respectively in the treatment group,and 20%,65% and 61.5% respectively in the control group;there was a great difference between the two groups( P

Mammalian topoisomerase 1 (TOP1) is an essential enzyme for normal development. TOP1 relaxes supercoiled DNA to remove helical constraints that can otherwise hinder DNA repli-cation and transcription and thus block cell growth. Unfortunately, this exact activity can covalently trap TOP1 on the DNA that could lead to cell death or mutagenesis, a precursor for tumorigenesis. It is therefore important for cells to find a proper balance between the utilization of the TOP1 cat-alytic activity to maintain DNA topology and the risk of accumulating the toxic DNA damages due to TOP1 trapping that prevents normal cell growth. In an apparent contradiction to the negative attribute of the TOP1 activity to genome stability, the detrimental effect of the TOP1-induced DNA lesions on cell survival has made this enzyme a prime target for cancer therapies to kill fast-growing cancer cells. In addition, cumulative evidence supports a direct role of TOP1 in pro-moting transcriptional progression independent of its topoisomerase activity. The involvement of TOP1 in transcriptional regulation has recently become a focus in developing potential new treat-ments for a subtype of autism spectrum disorders. Clearly, the impact of TOP1 on human health is multifold. In this review, we will summarize our current understandings on how TOP1 contributes to human diseases and how its activity is targeted for disease treatments.

Objective To explore the new methods to fill local temporal depression or augment superciliary with autotissue graft.Methods Applying upper eyebrow perdicled dermis -fat petal to fill the local temporal depression or augment superciliary, accompanied with eyebrow lifting.Results Augmentation superciliary arch plasty with upper eyebrow perdicled dermis-fat petal was performed in 5 patients. All 5 patients' superciliary arch showed good shape and accompanied with no complications. Filling of local depression of temporal with derma-fat flap was performed in 6 patients, with dermis-fat flap and prosthesis was performed in 8 patients. 2 cases had hematoma. Conclusion Upper eyebrow perdicled dermis-fat petal as a material being ultilized to augment superciliary or to fill local temporal depression has advantages of better localization and more natural shape.[

OBJECTIVE: To establish miniSTR fluorescent detection system with all detected fragments below 150 bp and to enhance the efficiency of detecting the degraded DNA samples. METHODS: All candidate primers were designed by Primer Premier 5 and screened by FastPCR 6.0. The miniSTR multiplex system was established by these selected loci labeling by four fluorescent dye. The parameters of PCR and primer concentrations were subsequently optimized. The electrophoresis was fulfilled under POP4 on 3100-Avant and the typing data was validated by standard DNA 9947A and 007. Fresh blood samples and difficult degraded DNA samples were tested to evaluate the usefulness of the system. RESULTS: All amplicons in the established miniSTR fluorescent detection system (D12ATA63, D2S1776, D1GATA113, D4S2408, D17S974, D20S482, D3S3053, Amelogenin, D6S474, D9S1122) were less than 150bp. The profile showed a balanced peak height without extra stutter by optimal protocol. Allele frequencies showed no deviations from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. The system showed accumulated probability of discrimination 0.999 999 983 and accumulated triplet excluding probability of paternity 0.996 8. It could detect corrupt muscle tissue, low copy number DNA samples and human tissues fixed by 40% formaldehyde solution for 12 days. CONCLUSION The miniSTR fluorescent detection system could be solely used for personal identification of degraded DNA samples or complementally used for paternity tests. And the system could enhance the ability of detecting the trace and degraded DNA.
