Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2008;12(41):8198-8200
Magnetic polymer microspheres are a novel functional material that has been developed recently. This kind of organic-inorganic nanoparticles composites can lead to many reactive functional groups on the surface of microspheres by means of copolymerization and surface modification. Moreover, this kind of materials is strongly response to the magnetic field. As the carrier of enzyme, cell and drug,it can be widely applied in many fields, such as bio-engineering,cytology,biomedical science and so on.The recent research progresses of magnetic polymer microspheres are reviewed. The preparation and characterization of magnetic microspheres are also introduced.Immobilization of enzyme onto magnetic polymer microspheres is emphasized and every method of immobilized enzyme is compared and analyzed. The prospects of magnetic polymer microsphere are also proposed.
7.Preparation and anti-cancer activity in vitro of curcumin loaded mesoporous silica nanoparticle.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(21):4189-4193
This paper is to prepare curcumin (Cur) loaded mesoporous silica nanoparticle (Cur-MSN), evaluate its release behavior and anti-cancer activity in vitro. Mesoporous silica nanoparticle (MSN) was prepared by polymerization method and Cur-MSN was obtained using solvent evaporation method and impregnation centrifugation method. The preparation method was optimized using entrapment efficiency (EE) and loading efficiency (LE) as indexes. Cur-MSN was characterized with scanning electron microscope and its particle size and zeta potential were determined. Finally, in vitro release behavior in 0.2% SDS solution and its cell-killing effect on HeLa cells were also evaluated. The Cur-MSN prepared with process optimization method was round and uniform and exhibited typical mesoporous characterization. The mean particle size and Zeta potential of Cur-MSN were 75.8 nm and -30.1 mV, respectively. EE and LE of three batches of Cur-MSN were (72.55 ± 2.01)% and (16.21 ± 1.12)%, respectively. In vitro release behavior of Cur-MSN showed a sustained release profile with 83.5% cumulative release within 96 h. The killing effect of Cur-MSN on HeLa cells was dose-dependent with IC50 of 19.40 mg x L(-1), which was similar to that of Cur.

8.Clinical progress on the fast-track surgery
International Journal of Surgery 2008;35(6):416-419
Owing to the continuous improvement of surgical techniques and multiple adjunctive therapy, postoperative convalescence of patients has reached great achievements. There are, nevertheless, many problems left for us to discuss.Fast-track surgery employs a variety of methods, such as neodoxy of oral bowel preparation, intraoperative anaesthesia and fluid management, maintenance of body temperature, early ambulation, pain relief etc,to reduce the morbidity of operative stress, complications, and suffering of patients,as well as accelerating the postoperative convalescence so as to shorten the time patient spend in hospital.Fast-track surgery develops a"patient-centered"attitude,and establishes an ultimate goal as giving full benefit to patients when they are in hospital.

10.In vitro biological characteristics and immune regulation defects of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells from patients with aplastic anemia
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2010;14(1):179-182
BACKGROUND: Previous research has indicated that bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells had immunological regulation and hematopoiesis role. There were significant differences in immunological regulation and hemopoietic function between patients with aplastic anemia and normal cases. OBJECTIVE: To summarize the in vitro biological characteristics and its immune regulation defects of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells from patients with aplastic anemia.METHODS: A computer-based online search was conducted in PUMMED (1987-2009) and VIP database (1989-2009) with the key words of "mesenchymal stem cell, bone marrow" in both Chinese and English. There were 55 articles in total. Articles which were related to biological characteristics and its immune regulation defects of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells were included; however, duplicated articles were excluded. Finally, 32 articles were included, containing 3 reviews in English, 23 original articles in English, and 6 original articles in Chinese. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells had the capacities of high proliferation, self-renewal and multilineage differentiation; in addition they had the roles of supporting hematopoiesis, promoting implantation and hematopoietic reconstitution in vivo. Bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells still had the effects of negative immune regulation and reducing the incidence of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD). Aplastic anemia correlated with hematopoietic stem cells in the pathogenesis of intrinsic defects in the proliferation or differentiation of hematopoietic microenvironment and immune system abnormalities and other related disorders. Bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells of patients with aplastic anemia played an important role in the pathogenesis of this disease.
