Objective To develop a HPLC method for the determination of chlorogenic acid in xiaoaiping injection in human plasma. Methods The analytical column was packed with Hypersil ODS C18 (250 mm×4.6 nm,5 μm).The mobile phase was acetonitrile-0.4% phosphoric acid solution(13:87).The flow rate was 1 ml/min,and detection wave length was set at 327 nm.Results The linear ranges were 2.5~60.0 mg/L chlorogenic acid in human plasma, with the correlation coefficients of 0.9996.The Low limit of detection was 0.25 μg/ml.The method and extraction recovery were 100.1%~102.6%and 78.6%~80.3%.The relative standard deviation value for the within-day and between-day precision were less than 3.9%.Conclusion The method is simple, sensitive for the determination of chlorogenic acid in xiaoaiping injection in human plasma.

Objective To measure the outcomes of the cochlear implantation for patients with Warrensburg syndrome in comparison with non-syndromic patients with sensorineural hearing loss. Methods 16 of 1 300 Waardenburg syndrome patients who received cochlear implants at PUMC hospital were reviewed in this papers. The authors will discuss the effects between Warrensburg syndrome and non- syndromic patients with sensorineural hearing loss by means of the Parents Evaluation of Aural-Oral Performance of Children (PEACH). Results There were no statistical difference in quiet, in noise, in overall results and in conversation on the phone between Warrensburg syndrome and non-syndromic patients. There was statistical difference between in quiet and in noise in every group. Conclusion The auditory perception and speech recognition between Warrensburg syndrome and non-syndromic patients with sensorineural hearing loss is same, and the results in quiet is better than that in noise.

OBJECTIVETo explore the differentially expressed genes and related signaling pathways in MC3T3-E1 osteo- blasts in response to suitable fluid shear stress values and action time with cDNA microarrays.
METHODSMC3T3-E1 cells cultured on a cover slip were subjected to fluid shear stress using a parallel plate flow chamber. The harvested RNA was used for microarray hybridization comprising approximately 44 170 genes, as well as for the subsequent real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction validation of expression levels for selected genes. Microarray results were analyzed by using both GO and Pathway analysis.
RESULTSMicroarray analysis indicated that 884 differentially expressed genes were found. Among these genes, 444 were upregulated, whereas 440 were downregulated. The Notch signal and RIG- I -like receptor signaling pathways were involved in the Pathway analysis. GO analysis mainly involved different functional classifications, such as prostaglandin biosynthesis, nitric oxide-mediated signal transduction, calcium mediated signal, and cellular immune response, among others.
CONCLUSIONThe mechanism underlying the protective effect of fluid shear stress on MC3T3-E1 cells might be related to promoting cell survival- and inhibiting cell apoptosis-related signaling pathways and biological processes.

Objective The image segmentation of low-density gene chips based on genetic algorithm, which can implement the function of region identification, is achieved. Methods After image denoising by wavelet analysis, image segmentation is accomplished by genetic algorithm. Results The method can detect the region of sampling point more precisely. It can also effectively separate the valuable weak signal points and background or noise. Conclusion The method can accomplish the function of image segmentation of low-density gene chips, which can provide relative accurate data information for future image analysis

Objective To explore the application value of DOSE index score in the peitients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Methods 122 cases of plateau COPD patients were followed up for 12 months, and we recorded and analyzed the patient's health and life.We also recorde FEV 1 and DOSE scores of the patients with COPD,and record the COPD risk events, including the number of respiratory failure and death, and the times of hospitalization, total such confinement, outpatient expenses, hospitalization expenses,mMRC,and scored in the number of exacerbations, etc. Results The DOSE index score was negatively correlated with FEV1% pred (r=0.73,P < 0.05) for 122 COPD patients, and were positively correlated with mMRC (r=085,P < 0.01),the annual number of exacerbations (r=0.71,P < 0.01),respiratory failure (r=0.65,P < 0.01),heart failure (r=0.50,P < 0.01),number of outpatient service (r=0.12,P<0.01),hospitalization time (r=0.70,P<0.01),the totalsuchconfinement (r=0.66,P<0.01),outpatient expenses (r=0.13,P> 0.13),hospitalization expenses (r=0.65,P<0.01).ROC curve was used to analyzed the cut-off point and curve area of COPD DOSE index. Conclusion The DOSE index is a simple COPD assessment tools, and is closely related to the prognosis of patients and health.

China Pharmacist 2014;(10):1631-1633
Objective:To study the effect of Longman Ampelopsis grossedentata on the level of serum lipid. Methods:The exper-imental rats were given high-fat diet during the experiment. The rats were randomly divided into the model group, high dose group (37. 80 g·kg-1), medium dose group (12. 60 g·kg-1), low dose group (6. 30 g·kg-1) and lipid-lowering drug group (180 mg· kg-1 ) . All the groups were administrated continuously for 30 days, and the effect on body weight, serum TC, TG and HDL-C were measured. Results:Compared with that of the model group, the increase of body weight in the other groups was not significant ( P>0. 05), and all the rats had no obvious poisoning symptom. TC and TG were higher after the high-fat diet administration than those be-fore the experiment in the model group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0. 05). After the 30-day treatment, the levels of TC and TG in the high-dose group were significantly decreased compared with those of the model group (P<0. 05). Conclu-sion:Longman Ampelopsis grossedentata shows assistant therapeutic effect on serum lipid.
