Biotech is currently the fastest growing sector in drug industry. Globally biotech products generated revenues of $55bn in 2004, in a total drug market worth $550bn. The USA is the primary market of biotech products, being the source of approximately half of sales in 2004. About 55% of biopharmaceuticals’ sales in 2004 came from the five leading products (Erythropoietin,Interferon,Human insulin,G-CSF,Rituximab).Great progress has been made in the biotech market of China over the last few years. About 60%~70% of recombinant protein biopharmaceuticals are expressed in mammalian cells in USA and EU, while most recombinant protein biopharmaceuticals are expressed in E.coli in China. Most biopharmaceuticals expressed in mammalian cell can’t be manufactured in China. The biotech industry comprise numerous, mostly small organizations. These organizations typically employ less than 100 people. Most biotech companies have never brought a product to market before they disappear. Therefore, it is very important for biotech companies to make an appropriate development strategy.

High - risk corneal transplantation immunological rejection is a primary factor affecting the success or failure of the corneal transplantation. As a result, application of immunosuppressive agent in high - risk corneal transplantation rejection reaction occupies an irreplaceable position. However, many local and systemic adverse reactions appeared in the process of application. In order to improve the achievement ratio of the corneal transplantation, experts and scholars at home and abroad have obtained remarkable achievements in dosage form, route of administration and drug combination;meanwhile, a considerable progress was also made in genetic engineering. BACKGROUND:A large number of literatures have shown that surgeons expose to a higher radiation dose during puncture and bone cement injection in percutaneous vertebral augmentation. OBJECTIVE:To review the research progress in radiation doses and safeguard procedures in percutaneous vertebral augmentation. METHODS: By using percutaneous vertebral augmentation, radiation doses, radiation protective as key words, we retrieved articles related to radiological protection during percutaneous vertebral augmentation published from January 1995 to December 2014 in Wangfang database and PubMed database. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:One basic principle of radiation protection is that the radiation dose decreases rapidly with distance from the radioactive sources. Surgeons should maximize the distance from the radioactive sources as far as possible in case there is no effect on the operation. To optimize the setting and position of C-arm machine, wear protective devices and put lead shields as wel as computer navigation and radiation training in surgeons al can help to reduce the radiation doses during percutaneous vertebral augmentation. Remote bone cement injection device is easy to control but not increases the radiation doses. In addition, the influence of surgery bed on radiation dose remains to be further studied. We believe that with the in-depth research on radiological protection, vertebral augmentation technique wil be safer in clinical application.

Objective To evaluate the value of low concentration of isotonic contrast agent combined with 80 kV and adaptive statistical itera-tive reconstruction (ASiR)technique for bronchial artery with CT angiography (CTA).Methods 40 patients (18.5 kg/m2 ≤ body mass index(BMI)≤25 kg/m2 )with lung cancer were randomly divided into two groups and performed enhanced chest CT examina-tion.20 patients (low concentration group)were scanned with Visipaque 270mg I/mL,scanning protocol of (80 kV,260 mA)and other 20 patients (high concentration group)were scanned with Ultravist 370 mg I/mL,scanning protocol of (120 kV,1 50 mA). The CT value,signal noise (SD),signal-to-noise ratio (SNR),contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR)and effective dose (ED)of the two groups were compared and analyzed statistically.Differences between the two groups were determined with t test(P <0.05).Results The mean CT value of the low concentration group (31 7.33 HU±70.44 HU)was higher than that of the high concentration group (256.39 HU±37.38 HU)(P <0.05).SD,ED and dose length product (DLP)of the low concentration group (SD:7.55 ±1.51 HU;ED:1.74±0.14 mSv;DLP:124.94±9.9 mGy/cm)were lower than those of the high concentration group (SD:9.36±1.26 HU;ED:3.20±0.35 mSv;DLP:228.82±25.13 mGy/cm)(P <0.05).CNR and SNR of the low concentration group (CNR:59.71± 17.36;SNR:44.01±14.71)were higher than those of the high concentration group (CNR:37.61±6.16;SNR:27.75±4.72)(P <0.05).The subjective scores of the two groups were (3.73±0.66)and (3.81±0.59),respectively,with no statistical difference.Conclusion For the patients with normal body mass index ,it can reduce 47% radiation dose and 27% iodine dosage using low concentration of isotonic contrast agent combined with 80kV and ASiR technique for bronchial artery CTA,while maintaining similar excellent image quality.

The pathogenesis of heart failure is a complex progression and associated with abnormal regulation of many signaling pathways. As a cofactor of hemoglobin, myoglobin, oxidative respiratory chain, DNA synthase and other important proteins, iron plays an indispensable role in myocardial energy metabolism. Recently, a large number of studies have shown that heart failure is related to the disorder of iron metabolism. Both iron deficiency and iron overload can lead to the development of a variety of cardiomyopathy, and even progress to heart failure. Iron metabolism could be a key target for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of heart failure. Here, we review the basic process of iron metabolism and its mechanism in heart failure, expecting to provide new clues and evidence for the treatment of heart failure.

?AIM:To investigate the measurement of central anterior chamber depth ( ACD ) in patients with acute primary angle - closure glaucoma ( APACG ) with A - scan ultrasound, Pentacam and ultrasonic biological microscope ( UBM) .?METHODS: Thirty-five patients (35 eyes) with APACG were selected, of whom central ACD were measured with A-scan ultrasound, Pentacam and UBM.?RESULTS: The measurement values of ACD with A-scan ultrasound, UBM and Pentacam were 1. 5633±0. 2089, 1. 5783 ± 0. 2067, 1. 6275 ± 0. 2296mm, which was equal variance tested by the homogeneity of variance, and was significant different by multiple comparision (F=4. 074, P=0. 026). The difference of ACD between the two groups of A-scan ultrasound and UBM, A-scan ultrasound and Pentacam, UBM and Pentacam were statistically significant ( P = 0. 032, 0. 023, 0. 012 ). Altman- Bland analysis showed that the three methods were not consistent with each other.?CONCLUSION: The ACD value of the APACG with the three methods is the largest using Pentacam, followed by UBM and A - scan ultrasound. In clinical the three methods with different advantages can complement each other, but cannot be replaced. In order to obtain more accurate results, we should combine the advantage and make comprehensive analysis.

Objective To explore the microcosmic mechanism of pingyangmycin treating infantile proliferating capillary hemangiomas so as to find the optimal method for hemangiomas′ treatment.Methods Sixty samples of infantile proliferating hemangiomas were divided into control group(30 cases,aged from 2 days to 6 months) and experimental group(30 cases,aged from 2 to 6 months).Pingyangmycin was made into emulsion and smeared on the surfaces of the leision in experimental group with 3 times every day as well as only matrix in control group.The specimens were resected on d7,then made into pathological slices and electron microscope slices in order to observe the cells microcosmic structure changes and ultrastructure changes.Furthermore,the apoptotic indexes of two groups were detected by the molecular biology method(TUNEL test).Results The number of apoptotic cells were lower in control group(apoptotic index 18.87?13.67)but higher apparently in experimental group(apoptotic index 29.52?15.33).The difference between two groups was significant(t=2.842 P
