Journal of Environment and Health 2007;0(09):-
Objective To investigate the effect of sodium arsenite combined with cigarette smoke solution on NF-?B in rat lymphocytes. Methods Rat lymphocytes were divided into 4 groups: the arsenite treatment group, the CSS treatment group, the arsenite and CSS treatment group, and the control group. Electrophoretic mobility shift assays was used to detect levels of NF-?B DNA binding. Western blot was used to detect protein expression of I?B?. Results Levels of NF-?B DNA binding in the CSS treatment group and the arsenite treatment group were significantly increased (P

6.Zweymüller spiral acetabular prosthesis for treating developmental dysplasia of the hip in adults
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2015;(39):6274-6280
BACKGROUND:Spiral acetabular prosthesis has good stability during total hip arthroplasty.
OBJECTIVE:To observe the early therapeutic effect of Zweymüler spiral acetabular prosthesis in total hip arthroplasty for patients with developmental dysplasia of the hip.
METHODS:Totaly 38 patients (48 hips) with developmental dysplasia of the hip received total hip arthroplasty with Zweymüler spiral acetabular prosthesis from January 2011 to June 2013 were selected. The clinical effect was observed after the operation.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: A total of 38 patients were folowed up for 21-46 months (averagely 42.3 months). One case suffered from deep venous thrombosis. Harris scores and Charnely scores apparently increased after surgery compared with that before surgery. The mean length of the osteotomy was 2.42±0.48 cm, and the mean extended length of the affected limb was 4.58±1.15 cm. X-ray films showed that there was no disunion of the osteotomy, no subsidence and loosening of prosthesis. The position of the acetabulum was suitable. The healing time of bone graft was 3-11 months (averagely 5.3 months). The coverage of the acetabular component was 92.5%, with a good initial stability, and the excelent rate of the operation was 90%. The satisfaction rate of patients was 84%. These results indicate that the Zweymüler spiral acetabular prosthesis has the advantages of reasonable design, good initial stability, low loosening rate and high satisfaction degree. However, the number of cases of this study was relatively smal, the folow-up time was short, and only the short-term effect was evaluated. Thus, the midterm and long-term effects need to be observed by the folow-up evaluation.

Objective To investigate the impact of hepatic steatosis on the outcome of adefovir therapy in chronic hepatitis B patients with HBeAg positive. Methods The medical records of 154 patients who were diagnosed with CHB positive for hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg) and received adefovir therapy for 24 weeks between January, 2011 and December, 2013 were analyzed retrospectively. Baseline status and virologic response, biochemical response and serology response between patient with (n = 68) and without (n = 86) steatosis who were proven by ultrasound. Both groups were given oral adefovir dipivoxil 10 mg/d for 24 weeks , recovery rate in ALT/AST, negative conversion rate of HBV DNA and HBeAg were recorded and compared. Results Recovery rate in ALT/AST in observation group was 67.7%, which is lower than control group (83.7%), and the difference is significant(P < 0.05). Negative conversion rate of HBV DNA and HBeAg in control group is 81.4%and 83.7%, which is significantly higher than observation group (whose values are 58.8% and 44.1%, P < 0.05). Conclusion Hepatic steatosis has significant impact on the outcome of adefovir treatment.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(10):-
Objective To investigate the clinic effect of trans-artery intrahepatic transplantation of porcine islet in type 1 diabetic patients. Methods Four patients with type 1 diabetes were perfused newborn porcine islets through the hepatic artery.Fasting blood glucose(FBS), postprandial blood glucose (PBS), HBA1,dose of insulin and function of liver and kidney were measured before and after the transplantation. Results The levels of FBS,PBS and HBA1 were 7 4~13 5mmol/L,7 8~18 6mmol/L and 7 8~12 0mmol/L respectively before the transplantation. During one and half years after transplantation, the levels of FBS,PBS and HBA1 were 3 3~7 1mmol/L,6 0~8 8mmol/L and 6 4~7 6mmol/L respectively with notably reduced dosage of insulin(32~58%).The function of liver and kidney of the patients remained normal. Conclusions Trans-artery intrahepatic transplantation of porcine islet is effective and safe for type 1diabetic treatment.

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedics 2001;0(05):-
Objective To explore surgical treatment through posterior approach to reduce the fracture and dislocation complicated with longitudinal ligaments and intervertebral disc rupture in the thoracic or lumbar spine. Methods Eighteen cases suffered from the fracture and dislocation complicated with longitudinal ligaments and intervertebral disc rupture in the thoracic or lumbar spine between January 2001 and May 2004, retrospectively were reviewed all the patients are male, aged from 19 to 58 years old (average 38 years). All the patients are paraplegia. The involved vertebrae are T11 to L 3. All the lateral X-ray films showed the fractured vertebra taking on wedged shape. The posterior vertebral body-height was decreased in six patients. The fractured vertebra lost its height by 1/4 to 3/4 of normal height. The upper vertebral dislocation extent was from 25% to 100%. Two cases complicated with lateral displacement. All the patients were operated on within posttraumatic 10 days. One of the two posterior surgical techniques was used for a given patient: 1) One technique is implantation of pedicle-screws in upper and lower vertebrae just adjacent to fractured vertebra. 2) Another technique is implantation of pedicle-screws both in fractured vertebra and its adjacent upper and lower vertebrae. Results All the patients were followed up 3 months to 3 years (average 18 months). 8 cases were treated with two-vertebrae 4 pedicle-screws implantation technique, the height of fractured vertebral body was not improved in 5 cases, partially improved in 3 cases. The dislocation of the upper vertebra adjacent to fractured vertebra was partially improved in 6 case, not changed in 1 case, got worse in 1 case. 10 cases were treated with three-vertebrae 6 pedicle-screws implantation technique, the height of fractured vertebral body was all improved by 80% to 100%. The dislocation of the upper vertebra was corrected completely in all the ten cases. Conclusion The procedure of three-vertebrae 6 pedicle-screws implantation is practical, effective and useful for treatment of the fracture and dislocation comlicated with longitudinal ligaments and intervertebral disc rupture in the thoracic or lumbar spine.
