Center for faculty development (CFD) in Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is one of the earliest agencies of the university targeted for professional development of the teachers.In recent years,CFD took learning community as one of the main way to promote teacher professional development and made in-depth researches.This paper discussed on organization and form of community as well as teachers' training and assessment.

The purpose of education is to cultivate talents who can master the ability of self-learning lifelong. With the rapid development of multimedia technology, the knowledge carrier represented by micro curriculum plays a very important role in improving students' self-learning ability. In traditional Chinese medicine college, due to the short of time, weak learning foundation, the ability of self-learning is hard to improve in the modern medical courses such as biochemistry. This is not conducive to the cultivation of modern talents of Chinese medicine. In this paper, we chose the biochemistry teaching in TCM college as an example, and discuss how we can make the application of micro courses reasonably in the teaching process. This study was regarded as a starting to improve the students' self-learning ability effectively.

This article elaborated on professional development objectives of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) clinical teachers and analyzed on the existing teaching ability development foundation of clinical teachers from the trend of clinical practice teaching development.Meanwhile,the article proposed the basic connotation of TCM clinical teachers' teaching ability development based on the construction of the module of clinical teachers' professional ability development and the opening learning environment.
4.The Role of Anopheles anthropophagus in Malaria Transmission in in Xinyang City of Henan Province

Objective To study the role of Anopheles anthropophagus in malaria transmission and transmission threshold so as to provide basis for vector surveillance and malaria control strategy. Methods Parasitological and entomological methods were used in the investigation at 5 villages of Xinyang City, Henan Province. Results From July to August, 1999, 74 febrile cases (10\^9% of the total population) were examined. Among them 50 were infected, the incidence in the population of surveyed spots was 7\^4%. Active detection was made in another randomly selected two villages and found that the parasite rate in the inhabitants was 2\^0%, and the positive rate of IFA was 8\^4%. Only vivax malaria was detected. An.anthropophagus and An.sinensis were collected, with An.anthropophagus as the predominant one in human dwellings. The estimated man\|biting rate and the human blood index were 4\^9388 and 0\^7858 respectively. The vectorial capacity of An. anthropophagus was 5\^5296. The critical man\|biting rate of An.anthropophagus was 0\^2407 as calculated by the formula (ma=-rlnP/abP\+n) according to Macdonald′s model.The local man\|biting rate was 20 times higher than that of the critical man\|biting rate. Conclusion The results demonstrated that An.anthropophagus is the principal vector in malaria transmission in the area. The findings imply that the critical man\|biting rate is of practicable importance in vector surveillance.
5.Competency-oriented teaching of TCM clinical classic thinking

Cultivation of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) classic clinical thinking and its application are essential for the improvement of clinical competency of TCM students. At present, it has a low proportion of students who can skillfully use classic theories and prescriptions. Therefore, the formation of TCM classics teaching model and method which can effectively improve the ability of TCM classic thinking and practical application has become a strong help to improve students' competency. On the basis of clearly transforming the application of TCM classic clinical thinking into teaching goal, the reform of TCM classic teaching increases the guidance of skill knowledge and values by adjusting the proportion of teaching content and developing "classic morning reading", enhance the guidance of skills and values and consolidate the mastery of memorial knowledge, and adopts progressive three-stage classic teaching method with "bisection classroom" as the core at the same time. The results show that students' ability of memorizing and applying TCM classics has been obviously improved, and their clinical competency has been improved to a certain extent, achieving satisfactory results.
6.MiR-139-5p inhibits migration and invasion of colorectal cancer by downregulating AMFR and NOTCH1.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) that exert function by posttranscriptional suppression have recently brought insight in our understanding of the role of non-protein-coding RNAs in carcinogenesis and metastasis. In this study, we described the function and molecular mechanism of miR-139-5p in colorectal cancer (CRC) and its potential clinical application in CRC. We found that miR-139-5p was significantly downregulated in 73.8% CRC samples compared with adjacent noncancerous tissues (NCTs), and decreased miR-139-5p was associated with poor prognosis. Functional analyses demonstrated that ectopic expression of miR-139-5p suppressed CRC cell migration and invasion in vitro and metastasis in vivo. Mechanistic investigations revealed that miR-139-5p suppress CRC cell invasion and metastasis by targeting AMFR and NOTCH1. Knockdown of the two genes phenocopied the inhibitory effect of miR-139-5p on CRC metastasis. Furthermore, the protein levels of the two genes were upregulated in CRC samples compared with NCTs, and inversely correlated with the miR-139-5p expression. Increased NOTCH1 protein expression was correlated with poor prognosis of CRC patients. Together, our data indicate that miR-139-5p is a potential tumor suppressor and prognostic factor for CRC, and targeting miR-139-5p may repress the metastasis of CRC and improve survival.
