1.MRI and CT Diagnosis of Intrcranial Epidermoid Cyst

Objective To analyze the features of intracranial epidermoid cyst on CT and MRI imaging.Methods 26 patients with intracranial epidermoid cysts proven pathologically were examined with pre-and post-contrst enhanced CT and MR imging,and 6 of 26 cases undergone CT plain scan.CT and MR imaging of 20cases were retrospectivelly reviewed.Results Among 26 cases,16 were located in the cisterns of cerebell opontine angle,7 in saddle area.2 inside of the skull;1in the brain essence.On CT,25 cases were homogeneous hypodense,one case was promiscuous high density,16 cases demonstrted inhomogeneous hypointensityimaging on T1WI,and inhomogenous hyperintensity on T2WI.4 cases display inhomogeneous signal.No contrast enhancement was noted except 2 cases with slightly periphery enhancement.One case brain organization receives invades,There was edema around tumor.17 cases demonstrated slightly inhomogeneous hyperintensity on FLAIR MR images,3 cases obviously advance.Conclusion The CT and MRI features of intracranial epidermoid cysts were certain characteristic,and MRI played an important role.as to uncharacteristic epidermoid cyst,there is still space for further research.
2.CT Diagnosis of Renal Oncocytoma.

Objective To study the renal oncocytoma CT eosinophil performance,improve the rate of correct diagnosis.Methods Retrospective analysis of seven cases confirmed by pathology of renal oncocytoma CT.Results Tumor cortex to the growth mainly three cases to the pelvis grow mainly two cases,two cases are located entirely within the renal parenchyma.Plain;Four cases of tumor performance for the more homogeneous density.Three cases density uniform,which show two cases within Stelletta tenui Lindgren-sharp edge,low-density,one cases show multiple internal circular low-density category,there calcification in 2 cases.Enhanced cortex and medulla period was more homogeneous strengthen four cases,three cases heterogeneous enhance and strengthen below the renal cortex.Pelvis period density decreased,but the level not lower than the same muscle density,and normal kidney tissue clear,two cases showed a complete fake capsule.Conclusions Renal oncocytoma scar except center outside homogeneous enhancement,pelvis with a period of not less than muscle density levels,and normal kidney tissue.Coated with a complete sham and center when scar more precise diagnosis.Other typical performance required when combined with clinical analysis.
3.Influence of interleukin-1 beta gene polymorphism and childhood maltreatment on antidepressant treatment.

OBJECTIVETo explore the influence of interleukin-1 beta (IL1B) gene polymorphism and childhood maltreatment on antidepressant treatment.
METHODSTwo hundred and four patients with major depressive disorder (MDD) have received treatment with single antidepressant drugs and were followed up for 8 weeks. Hamilton depression scale-17 (HAMD-17) was used to evaluate the severity of depressive symptoms and therapeutic effect. Childhood maltreatment was assessed using Childhood Trauma Questionnaire, a 28-item Short Form (CTQ-SF). Single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) of the IL1B gene was determined using a SNaPshot method. Correlation of rs16944 gene polymorphism with response to treatment was analyzed using Unphased 3.0.13 software. The main and interactive effects of SNP and childhood maltreatment on the antidepressant treatment were analyzed using Logistic regression analysis.
RESULTSNo significant difference of gender, age, year of education, family history, episode time, and antidepressant agents was detected between the remitters and non-remitters. Association analysis has found that the SNP rs16944 in the IL1B AA genotype carriers antidepressant response was poorer (χ2=3.931, P=0.047). No significant difference was detected in the CTQ scores between the two groups. Genetic and environmental interaction analysis has demonstrated a significant correlation between rs16944 AA genotype and childhood maltreatment and poorer response to antidepressant treatment.
CONCLUSIONThe SNP rs16944 in the IL1B gene and its interaction with childhood maltreatment may influence the effect of antidepressant treatment for patients with MDD.

4.Evaluation of modified IAT with twoself-made low ionic-strength solutions

【Objective】 To explore the clinical applications of low ionic strength salt solution polyethylene glycol (LISS-PEG) and low ionic strength salt solution bovine serum albumin (LISS-BSA) in the indirect antiglobulin test (IAT). 【Methods】 The common standard red blood cell(RBC) IgG irregular antibodies (anti-D, anti-M, anti-N, anti-S, anti-s, anti-Jka, anti-Jkb, anti-Fya, anti-Fyb, anti-Dia, anti-K) were reacted with RBCs with corresponding antigens in IAT with LISS-PEG and LISS-BSA modification for 5-minute and 10-minute incubations, and then compared the results with conventional IAT. One hundred of blood samples from patients presenting irregular antibodies of erythrocyte IgG were selected to observe the effect of these two self-made modification. The agglutination intensity was recorded by AABB scoring method. 【Results】 No difference was noticed in IAT intensity reaction between LISS-PEG 5-minute and 15-minute incubation (P>0.05), nor between 5-minute/15-minute LISS-BSA incubation and conventional IAT (P>0.05). However, LISS-PEG modification demonstrated a significant superiority over the conventional technique just after incubation with 5 minutes(P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 Using the self-made LISS-PEG as the enhancement medium allows not only reduced incubation time (5 minutes) but also increased intensity of the reaction, which shortens the cross-matching time for emergency blood transfusion and is worthy of popularization.
