Objective To explore the effect of conservative treatment for Stanford B aortic intramural hematoma without calcified plaque and the midterm follow-ups.Methods Clinical data of 20 patients with Stanford B aortic intramural hematoma without calcified plaque which were confirmed by CTA of the whole aorta were retrospectively analyzed.There were 12 males and 8 females,with the age of 35～ 52 years.All of them received pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy.Results All the 20 cases were asymptomatic after conservative medical treatment when they discharged,and were followed up whit imaging tests.They all lived without symptoms during the follow-up period.The pleural fluid on the left side was disappeared in 11 cases after 3 months and the aortic intramural hematoma was absorbed in 13 cases after 6 months.After 1 year there were total 18 cases without aortic intramural hematoma,while The thickness and scope of the hematoma were reduced significantly in the other 2 cases.Conclusion It' s ease to find whether the patient with Stanford B aortic intramural hematoma got calcified plaque or not; the conservative treatment for Stanford B aortic intramural hematoma without calcified plaque has satisfactory clinical effect in midterm follow-ups.

Objective To investigate the suitable therapeutic schedule for Stanford B aortic intramural hematoma associated with calcification. Methods During the period from March 2009 to March 2012, a total of 15 patients of Stanford B aortic intramural hematoma with calcified plaque were admitted to authors’ hospital. The diagnosis was proved in all patients by CT angiography of the entire aorta with a 64-row CT scanner. Of the 15 patients, death occurred in one, thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) treatment was adopted in 7 and conservative therapy was carried out in 7. All the patients were followed up for one year. CT angiography was employed at 3, 6 and 12 months after the treatment to evaluate the therapeutic results. Results One patient died of acute myocardial infarction after admission to hospital when the long-tem use of antiplatelet drugs was stopped. Seven patients received TEVAR treatment and the remaining 7 patients were treated with strict conservative therapy, and all these patients were asymptomatic at the time of discharge. During the follow- up period, CT angiography performed at 3, 6 and 12 months after the treatment showed that the intramural hematoma lesions gradually shrank or were absorbed in 13 patients, and the patients were asymptomatic. The remaining one patient was lost in touch. Conclusion The key to treat Stanford B aortic intramural hematoma with calcification is to prevent deterioration of the lesion. While strict conservative treatment is kept on, TEVAR should be promptly carried out for patients who need to take antiplatelet drugs over a long period of time, for patients whose clinical symptoms are not improved, for patients in whom the relived symptoms recur, and for patients whose CT angiography shows that the penetrating aortic ulcer becomes worse.

Objective To observe the effects of different quantities of cake-separated moxibustion on blood cells and immunoglobulin in immunosuppressive rabbits; To study the possible mechanism of quantity-effect difference. Methods Immunosuppressive rabbit model was established by intraperitoneal injection of cyclophosphamide. Rabbits were randomly divided into blank group, model group, cake-separated moxibustion 3 Zhuang group, 5 Zhuang group, 7 Zhuang group.Liuwei Dihuang Decoction was used to make herbal-cake, and was put on Shenque (RN8), Guanyuan (RN4), and other acupoints, once for every other day, 10 times in total. Venous blood was taken on the next day after finishing treatment, and the contents of blood cells series and IgG, IgM, complement C3 and complement C4 were detected.Results Compared with blank group, the levels of WBC, NEU, RBC, HGB, HCT, PLT, IgG, IgM, and complement C3 of model group significantly decreased, while the levels of LYM and MONO significantly increased (P<0.01). Compared with model group, the increase of HCT and IgM in the cake-separated moxibustion 3 Zhuang group was not significant, the levels of WBC, NEU, RBC, HGB, HCT, PLT, IgG, IgM, and complement C3 in all treatment groups significantly increased, and LYM and MONO significantly decreased (P<0.01). Compared with cake-separated moxibustion 3 Zhuang group, the levels of WBC, IgG, and complement C3 of cake-separated moxibustion 5 Zhuang group significantly increased, and the levels of WBC, HGB and complement C3 of cake-separated moxibustion 7 Zhuang group significantly increased (P<0.01).Conclusion Cake-separated moxibustion can improve the immune function under immunosuppressive state induced by cyclophosphamide, and different quantities have differences in efficacy.

BACKGROUND: CD58 is a glycoprotein, belongs to immune protein superfamily members, widely expresses in various human immunocytes and erythrocytes, and is the key immune substance of regulating T cell immune function by erythrocytes.OBJECTIVE: To explore the influence of moxibustion on the acupoints of Shenque (CV8) and Guanyuan (CV4) on erythrocyte CD58 expression in healthy people.DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: A randomized, controlled experiment was performed at the Central Laboratory, Shanxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March to December 2008.PARTICIPANTS: A total of 40 healthy undergraduates, 20 males and 20 females, aged mean 21.08 years, admitted in Shanxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected. Informed consents were obtained from each participant.METHODS: Putting the medicinal cakes on the acupoints, Shenque (CV8), Guanyuan (CV4), Zusanli (ST36), Pishu (BL20),Shenshu (BL21), and then lighted moxa every other day, totally for 10 times. Different quantities were compared before and after applying moxibustion.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Hemocyte routine examination was performed before and after moxibustion. Positive percentage and mean fluorescent strength of CD58 molecule on erythrocyte surface were determined by flow cytometry.RESULTS: The quantities of erythrocytes and leukocytes were increased significantly following moxibustion (P < 0.01). Positive percentage and mean fluorescent strength of CD58 molecule on erythrocyte surface were significantly greater following moxibustion (P < 0.01), especially fluorescent strength of CD58 molecule on erythrocyte surface following moxibustion.CONCLUSION: There are close relationships between CD58 expression and moxibustion. Moxibustion with medicinal cake plays an important role in the immune function of a body.

Objective To explore the surgical strategy and effects for treating complex malignant tumors of the inferior vena cava (IVC) or/and the tumors extending into right atrium/ventricle.Methods Between Dec 2004 and Jul 2008, eight patients underwent surgical resections, among those seven patients with tumors of IVC or the tumors extending into right atrium/ventricle were operated on under deep hypothermia with cardiopulmonary bypass( CPB), and one patient with recurrence of leiomyosarcoma of the IVC successfully underwent en bloc resection and caval reconstruction. The prosthetic graft was used for IVC reconstruction in two patients and vascular patch in the other two patients. Preoperative chest roentgenography, computed tomography, ultrasonography, or magnetic resonance imaging was used to exclude the presence of metastatic disease, to assess local resectability of the tumour and the extent of involvement and obstruction of the IVC. Results One patient died of liver failure postoperatively. The postoperative course was uneventful in other 7 patients. It is believed that traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） Daoyin （conduction exercise） therapy has potential in treating diabetic foot， which is a concrete embodiment of HUANG Yuanyu's theory of one qi circulation applied in practice. Based on Daoyin therapy of Baduanjin and the Origin and Indicators of Disease （《诸病源候论》）， a Daoyin prescription for diabetic foot was compiled and created. Based on the zang-fu concept of "One Qi Circulation"， combined with the theory of chief， deputy， assistant and envoy， this article explained the theoretical basis and functional mechanism of the Daoyin prescription for diabetic foot. This Daoyin therapy is mainly based on the prone position movements， which includes seven movements， namely， pull-up， knee bending， toe tilting， phoenix nodding， internal rotation of taiji， two hands climbing feet and closing. With "phoenix nodding" and "tilting toes" as the chief， with the help of toes opening-closing and pointing-pressing momentum in prone position， regulating the central qi； with "bending the knee" and "internal rotation of taiji" as the deputy， knee and ankle flexion and extension can unblock the meridians of liver and lungs； with "pull-up" and "two hands climbing feet" as the assistant， on the one hand， assisting to unblock zang-fu organs， on the other hand， applying the yang of the foot taiyang bladder channel and du mai to warm the cold and dampness； with "closing" as the envoy to regulate all organs， so that the blood return to the natural flow of circulation. Diabetic foot Daoyin therapy could regulate internal organs and qi circulation of body， and provides a new idea for the treatment of diabetic foot.
