ObjectiveTo investigate the risk factors of benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH).Methods A total of 738 male subjects were assigned to the non-BPH + non-metabolic syndrome (MS)group (group A),BPH + non-MS group (group B),MS + non-BPH group (group C),and BPH + MS group ( group D).Body mass index(BMI),systolic blood pressure ( SBP),diastolic blood pressure ( DBP),fasting blood glucose ( FBG ),total cholesterol ( TC ),triglyceride ( TG ),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol ( LDL-C),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ( HDL-C ),glycosylated alanine aminotransferase ( ALT ),serum creatinine,hemoglobin (HbAlc),and serum uric acid (UA) were measured.Results In comparison with group A,age,BMI,SBP,DBP,TG,TC,LDL-C and HbAlc of group B were significantly increased,although HDL-C was significantly reduced.Age,BMI,SBP,DBP,TG,TC,LDL-C,UA and HbAlc of group D were significantly higher than those of group C,while HDL-C was relatively lower.In multivariate logistic regression analysis,＞ 60 years [odds ratio (OR) =4.432,95％ confidence interval (CI) 1.331 to 14.759],overweight/obese ( OR =228.165,95％ CI 21.932 to 2373.724 ),hypertension ( OR =33.350,95％ CI 10.221 to 108.824),higher FBG ( OR =131.669,95％ CI 21.033 to 824.279 ),and higher TG ( OR =53.500,95％ CI 11.547 to 247.889 ) were independent risk factors of BPH with MS.Conclusion Our data suggest a close relationship between BPH and MS.Elderly,overweight/obesity,and higher blood pressure,TC or FBG might be the risk factors of BPH and MS.

Objective To investigate the prevalences of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and metabolic syndrome (MS) and to analyze the risk factors for benign prostatic hyperplasia and metabolic syndrome in the elderly.Methods A total of 490 elderly men undergoing health examination in our hospital from January 2010 to December 2010 were divided into BPH and MS group (n=246),MS group (n=55),BPH group (n=44),non-BPHandnon-MSgroup (control,n =145).Body height,body weight,body mass index (BMI),systolic blood pressure (SBP),diastolic blood pressure (DBP) were detected.Fasting blood glucose (FBG),serum total cholesterol (TC),triglyceride (TG),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C),alanine a minotransferase (ALT),creatinine (CRE),glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c),serum uric acid (UA) and other indicators were measured.Results The prevalences of BPH and MS were increased with age (x 2=810.71,732.18,both P＜0.05).Age,BMI,blood pressure,the levels of FBG,TG,TC,LDL-C,UA and HbA1c were significantly higher in BPH and MS group than in control group (all P＜0.05),while HDL-C concentration was significantly lower in group BPH and MS than in control group (P＜0.05).Age was significantly higher in group BPH and MS than in MS group (P＜0.05).Age,BMI,blood pressure,levels of FBG and TG were significantly higher in group BPH and MS than in BPH group (all P＜0.05),while HDL-C concentration was significantly lower in group BPH and MS than in group C (P＜0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that age＞70 years,obesity,hypertension,high FBG,high TG,lower HDL-C were independent risk factors for BPH and MS (OR:2.947,4.470,4.790,11.589,27.850,0.391,respectively,all P＜ 0.05).Conclusions The prevalences of BPH and MS are gradually increased with ageing in elderly men.Age ＞ 70 years,obesity,hypertension,high fasting glucose,hypertriglyceridemia and lower HDL-C are the risk factors for BPH and MS.

Zinc-finger protein X-linked is a member of zinc finger protein family.Its abnormal expression has been found in a variety of stem cells and malignant tumor cells.Recent studies have shown that it plays an important role in stem cell self-renewal and cancer cell proliferation,apoptosis and migration.

Objective To discuss the effect and related mechanism on epithelial?mesenchymal transition(EMT)process and invasive ability of the trophoblasts JEG?3 by targeted silencing of Notch?1 gene. Methods Notch?1?siRNA interference fragment was designed and synthesized to sta?bly transfect JEG?3 cells. Changes in the invasive ability of trophoblasts were detected by Transwell chamber invasion assay. The expressions of Notch?1 ,E?cadherin ,vimentin and EMT transcriptive regulators slug ,snail ,twist were analyzed in transfected trophoblasts by Western blot. Results The relative expression of Notch?1 protein in JEG?3 and the invasive ability of JEG?3 were significantly decreased after transfection with Notch?1?siRNA,the expression of the epithelial indictor E?cadherin was significantly increased while the mesenchymal indicator vimentin was de?creased with the reduction of EMT transcriptive regulators slug,snail and twist. Conclusion The invasion of trophoblasts was affected by targeted si?lencing of Notch?1 gene and Notch?1 can reduce the invasion of trophoblasts through influencing EMT process.

BACKGROUND:Transgenosis of basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) gene has been successfully performed into the muscle satellite cells of rat extraocular muscles in the previous study of the research group, proving that bFGF could express in the myoblasts of extraocular muscles, also promote cell proliferation and differentiation.OBJECTIVE: To further investigate the methods for regulating the expression of the bFGF in myoblasts following transfection. METHODS: Target gene bFGF was connected with inducing expression vector pcDNA4/T0/myc-His?A, followed by masculine clone sequencing identified by colony PCR and enzyme digestion, EcoR I and Hind III restriction enzyme digestion, as well as Xho I single enzyme verification. C2C12 myoblasts antibiotics sensitivity was screened and finally defined. By use of lipofection transfection technology, cell lines where C2C12 stably expressed pcDNA6/TR were estabolishd and then identified by Western blot. The bFGF expression and secretion in C2C12 cells following tetracycline-induced pcDNA4/TO/myc-His?A-bFGF transfection were determined by immunofluorescence and Western blot, the controls were established.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: ① The conjunction between the bFGF and inducing expression vector pcDNA4/TO/myc-His?A was proved successfully by sequencing comparison, double digestion and single digestion. ②The minimal lethal concentration of blasticidin to C2C12 cells was 10 mg/L, while that of zeocin was 750 mg/L. ③ The pcDNA6/TR-C2C12 cell lines were established correctly. ④ The myoblasts treated by tetracycline and transfected with pcDNA4/TO/myc-His?A-bFGF were positive for gene expression, those untreated exhibited a negativity; bFGF protein could be produced in myoblasts treated by tetracycline and transfected with pcDNA4/TO/myc-His?A-bFGF, the production reached a peak at 24 hours, while those untreated can not produce bFGF protein. Results suggest that the bFGF expression in the myoblasts can be controlled by tetracycline inhibition and regulatory systems.

Objective To investigate the relationship between depression and trait coping style in Chongqing middle school students.Methods Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) and Trait Coping Style Questionnaire (TCSQ) were adopted in the study to test the randomly sampled 1 596 middle school students of Chongqing.Results Students’ depression rate was a little bit high (58.4%).The differences in depression (41.20?7.83),other factors [psychological disorder (3.30?1.36),physical disorder (15.19?3.01),psychomotor disturbance (4.43?1.25) and mental disorder (18.27?4.70)],and trait coping style [positive coping style (29.5?8.5) and negative coping style (23.0?7.8)] was significant among genders,grades and school types.Students’ depression was in correlation with positive (besides psychological disorder factor,r=-0.483,-0.267,-0.272,and-0.553) and negative coping style (r=0.242,0.618,0.175,0.190,and 0.098) in different degrees.Coping style was a valuable predictor of students’ depression.Conclusion Students’ depression is significantly correlated to trait coping style in middle school students.Positive coping style can reduce the rate of student’s depression.

Objective To explore the direct association between metabolic syndrome (MS) and gamma glutamyltransferase (GGT) or alanine aminotransferase (ALT) in Beijing men and women.Methods We investigated the medical check-up data from the 14,204 physical examination population (male 9524,female 4680) of year 2008.A cross-sectional study was carried out to explore the direct association between MS and GGT or ALT.MS was defined by the Chinese Diabetes Society (2004).Chisquare test was performed to analyze the categorical variables.The receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) was plotted to obtain area under curve (AUC) and the cutoff point of GGT and ALT.Results The prevalence of MS was significantly higher in subjects with the highest quartile of GGT or ALT than the subjects with the lowest quartile of GGT or ALT.For male,the prevalence of MS is 7.57％ in the lowest GGT quartile and 29.04％ in the highest GGT quartile.For female,the prevalence of MS is 1.28％ in the lowest GGT quartile and 17.86％ in the highest GGT quartile.For male,the prevalence of MS is 9.27％ in the lowest ALT quartile and 21.88％ in the highest ALT quartile.For female,the prevalence of MS is 3.52％ in the lowest ALT quartile and 14.70％ in the highest ALT quartile (P ＜0.01).The optimal cutoff points of GGT to diagnose MS were 31 U/L in men and 18 U/L in women.The optimal cutoff points of ALT to diagnose MS were 23 U/L in men and 19 U/L in women.Conclusions The prevalence of MS increases with the increase in serum levels of GGT or ALT even through the normal range of GGT or ALT in Chinese men and women.

Objective:To explore the reasonable amount of bacteriostatis agent in fluconazole eye drop. Methods: According to the method of bacteriostatis effect test in 2015 edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia (ChP), and Staphyococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Candia albicans and Aspergillus niger as the test strains, the bacteriostatis effect of fluconazole eye drop containing 5%, 1%, 0. 3% and 0. 1% benzalkonium chloride was determined. Results: The bacteriostatis effects of fluconazole eye drop containing 5%, 1% and 0. 3% benzalkonium chloride on the five species of tested bacteria complied with the regulations of ChP. The bacteriostatis effects of 0. 1% benzalkonium chloride on Pseudomonas aeruginosa didn't meet the requirements, therefore, 0. 3%was the minimum inhibitory concentration ( MIC) of benzalkonium chloride. Conclusion: The best inhibitory concentration of benza-lkonium chloride is 1%.

Objective To investigate the correlation between the Periostin and Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition(EMT) markers(E-cadheirn and N-cadheirn) in colorectal cancer(CRC),and analyze the relationship between the expression of Periostin and clinicopathological parameters.Methods The expression of Periostin,Ecadheirn and N-cadheirn in 106 cases with primary CRC tumors and corresponding normal tissues were detected by Immunohistoehemistry and the results were analyzed.Results The expression of Periostin,E-cadheirn and N-cad-heirn in tumors were significantly high expression than those in corresponding normal tissues(62/106 vs 21/106,x2 =34.027,P ＜ 0.05 ;43/106 vs 89/106,x2 =42.480,P ＜ 0.05 ; 66/106 vs 19/106,x2 =43.382,P ＜ 0.05).The expression of Periostin in tumors was associated significantly with tumor differentiation,tumor invasion,lymph node metastasis and distance metastasis (x2 =7.752,P =0.007; x2 =5.008,P =0.031 ; x2 =10.227,P =0.002;x2 =8.001,P =0.006).It was negatively correlated with E-cadherin expression (r =-0.435,P ＜ 0.001),but positively correlated with N-cadherin expression (r =0.213,P =0.028).Conclusion Periostin may promote the occurrence and development of CRC by participating in EMT program.

Objective To discuss the influence about three kinds of nasal feeding methods on ICU critical patients with gastrointestinal complications, thus providing guidance for ICU patients to choose reasonable way of nasal feeding pump injection. Methods 120 ICU patients were randomly assigned into three groups, which is the continuous 6-hour and intermittent 2-hour every three time pump group and continuous 24-hours pump group and intermittent 24-hour(continuous 2-hour and intermittent 1-hour every eight time units)pump group ,each group has 40 cases. To observe the the influence about three different way of nasogastric on ICU critical patients with gastrointestinal complications. Results The incidence of diarrhea and constipation among the three groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05) . The gastric retention rate of the continuous 24-hour pump group was significantly higher than that of the continuous 6-hour and intermittent 2-hour pump group and the intermittent 24-hour pump group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference between the continuous 6-hour and intermittent 2-hour pump group and the intermittent 24-hour pump group, (P > 0.05). Conclusions The continuous 24-hour pump group in gastric retention was slightly worse than the other two pump way. Compared with ICU class three a week and feeding times , the continuous 6-hour and intermittent 2-hour pump method is more suitable for ICU patients.
