Objective To research the effect of GANT61 on epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in human lung cancer H1703 and A549 cells lines ,and to preliminarily investigate its action mechanism .Methods DMSO was used as the control(DMSO group) .After treating H1703 and A549 cells with GANT61 for 24 h ,the gene changes of Gli‐1 ,Gli‐2 ,E‐cadherin and Vimentin were detected by using the real time fluorescence quantitative PCR method .The influence of GANT61 on the expression of E‐cad‐herin and Vimentin protein after acting on H1703 and A549 cells was observed by using the Western blotting assay .The scratch healing test was performed to evaluate the effect of GANT 61 on the tumor cell invasion ability after acting on H1703 and A549 cells .Results The real time fluorescence quantitative PCR showed that ,compared with the DMSO group ,GANT61 down‐regulated the mRNA expression of Gli‐1 ,Gli‐2 and Vimentin mRNA of H1703 and A549 cell lines and elevated the expression of E‐cadherin protein(P<0 .01);the Western blotting showed that GANT61 down‐regulated the expression of Vimentin of H1703 and A549 cell lines ,and elevated the expression of E‐cadherin(P<0 .01);the scratch healing test revealed the invasion ability of H 1703 and A549 cells in the GANT61 treatment group was significantly decreased (P<0 .01) .Conclusion EMT in lung cancer is related with aber‐rant activations of Gli1 and Gli2 in Hedgehog signal transduction pathway ,GANT61 could influence the EMT ability in lung cancer cells by down‐regulating the expression of Gli‐1 and Gli‐2 .Gli could become a new molecular target for inhibiting the lung cancer cell metastasis.

AIM: To observe the clinical effect of the tonifying kidney pills with mingmuwuzi treating evaporative dry eyes.METHODS: This study adopted the positive drug control,prospective study,random number remainder grouping method to 65 cases of outpatient patients diagnosed with evaporative dry eyes which were divided into the treatment group 32 cases (64 eyes) and the control group 33 cases (66 eyes).The treatment group took the decoction of kidney pills with mingmuwuzi,combined with sodium hyaluronate eye drops.The control group simply use sodium hyaluronate eye drops,both group were set to 4wk for a course of treatment.To observe the symptoms and signs of two groups before and after the treatment,the change of the evaluation index and curative effect were evaluated.RESULTS: The effectiveness of the treatment group was 87.5%,the control group was 78.8%,the difference was statistically significant (z=-3.149,P<0.05).CONCLUSION: The treatment of the kidney pills with mingmuwuzi combined with sodium hyaluronate eye drops to evaporative dry eyes is more effective than the simple use of sodium hyaluronate eye drops.

BACKGROUND:The vascularization plays a key role in bone formation and reconstruction. Bioactiveβ-tricalcium phosphate has a porosity and absorbability that al ow a possibility of constructing vascularized bone.
OBJECTIVE:To explore the blood supply and construction of the central vascularizedβ-tricalcium phosphate, as wel as the mechanism of vascularization in artificial bone for its further clinical application.
METHODS:The lumbar dorsal artery of New Zealand rabbits was isolated and prepared into vascular bundle. At the experimental side, the vascular bundle was implanted into channel of theβ-tricalcium phosphate, then fil ed with the autologous tiny bone particles, and embedded into the latissimus dorsi muscle. Animals without the vascular bundle implantation were taken as the control group. The samples were determined for the morphology and histology at 4, 8, and 12 weeks post-surgery.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The site where the vascular bundle was implanted appeared foramen nutriens-like structure, the blood vessels were abundant and smooth. The central vascularized tricalcium phosphate were fil ed with new-born vessels at 4-8 weeks. The newly formed bone and bone metabolism appeared at 4 weeks and newly formed bones were more mature at 12 weeks. In the control group, there were only a few new-born vessels, the newly formed bone was immature. The central vascularizedβ-tricalcium phosphate can significantly improve the vascularization of artificial bone. This model can probably serve as a new method for tricalcium phosphate in clinical use.

Objective To find out the clinical effects of mifepristone in the treatment of perimenopausal dysfunctional uterine bleeding.Methods 87 patients with perimenopausal dysfunctional uterine bleeding were received mifepristone treatment.The thickness of the endometrium and sex hormones indicators,including progesterone(P),estrogen (E2),the corpus luteum generated hormone (LH),follicle hormone (FSH),prolactin (PRL) and testosterone (T),were checked before and after treatment.Results The treatment efficiency was 90.8％.Endometrial thickness before treatment (10.9 ± 1.9) mm,endometrial thickness after treatment (5.4 ± 1.1) mm,with significant differences between them(t =0.684,P ＜ 0.01).After treatment,patients with hemoglobin (102.5 ± 7.1) g/L,significantly increased compared with before treatment (t =0.539,P ＜ 0.01).After treatment,the P,E2,LH,FSH levels were significantly lower than those of before treatment (t =0.690,0.552,0.513,0.376,all P ＜ 0.05) ; PRL,T levels after treatment compared with before treatment,there were no significant differences (all P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion The mifepristone treatment for perimenopausal uterine bleeding has high effective rate,less adverse reactions,and high clinical value.

Objective:To investigate the different techniques and wave characteristic of applying non-invasive stimulation in blink reflex.Methods:Thirty volunteers participated in this study.Using the electrodiagnostic techniques,the orbital nerve and mental nerve were stimulated and the waves were respectively recorded at orbicularis oculi and levator labli superioris,then concluded the latency and amplitude of R1,R2,R2'.Results:The results of blink reflex were basically identical with the normative criteria.The wave of stimulating the orbital nerve and recording at levator labli superioris resembled BR.The images were steady and repeatable.The waves of stimulating mental nerve and recording at orbicularis oculi and levator labli superioris were unstable and partial R1 absent.Conclusion:The techniques of stimulating orbital nerve and recording at orbicularis oculi and levator labli superioris are valuable in the initial investigation of trigemino-facial reflex.The techniques of stimulating mental nerve and recording at orbicularis oculi and levator labli superioris can be used to examine assistantly.

General practitioners need not only to have comprehensive knowledge and clinical competency, and also to have the soft skill that are social and personal management skills.In the residency training of general practice, it is necessary to pay attention to the soft skill development.The training institutions should adopt various measures: including soft skills cultivation in training contents, emphasizing soft skills training in the traditional teaching practice, establishing a variety of practice platforms and introducing soft skills in the evaluation and examination system.

Objective To investigate the chang and impaction of TM and D- Dimer on peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) associated thrombosis in cancer patients. Methods The expression of TM and D-Dimer from 207 cancer patients with PICC was examined using nzyme-linked immunoassay. Paitents were divided into thrombosis group and control group according to Doppler Sonography. Results The thrombosis group had 33 cases and the control group had 174 cases in 207 malignant tumor patients with PICC. Compared with that in control group, the expression of TM (6.806 ± 1.805)μg/L and D-Dimer (0.786 ± 0.294) mg/L was significantly higher in thrombosis group and respectively statistically significant (P<0.05), The expression of TM and D-Dimer was positively correlated with thrombosis respectively (r=0.572 and 0.530, P<0.05). The multi-factor Logistics analysis showed the odd ratio of TM was 1.899 and the odd ratio of D-Dimer was 7.292, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Patients were dichotomized into elevated and noneelevated groups according to the 50th percentile of the levels of TM and D-Dimer of the total study population. In multivariable analysis, the odd ratio of both elevated TM and elevated D-Dimer was 2.04, which was higher than elevated TM (1.286) alone and elevated D-Dimer (1.044) alone, and there was difference in statistics (P<0.05). The results showed that the risk of PICC associated with thrombosis in both elevated TM and elevated D-Dimer TM increased 2.042 times. The expression of TM and D-Dimer was correlated with clinical stage respectively (r=0.477 and 0.492, P<0.05);but was not correlated with age, sex, site of tumor and concurrent radiochemotherapy (P>0.05). Conclusions The expression of TM, D-Dimer is elevated, which is expected to assess the early diagnosis and clinical value of PICC associated thrombosis in cancer.

Objective To evaluate the value and characteristics of 18F-FDG PET/CT and contrastenhanced CT in pulmonary sclerosing hemangioma (PSH).Methods A retrospective study involving 5 patients confirmed as PSH by pathology from June 2007 to June 2011 was performed.The cases consisted of four women and one man with age ranged from 39 to 66 (mean 51.6) years.All patients received dualphase 18 F-FDG PET/CT,high resolution (HR) CT and multi-phase contrast-enhanced CT (Siemens Biograph 16 PET/CT).Lesion SUVmaon early and delayed PET/CT images,retention index,increased HU value,washout time from peak on contrast-enhanced CT and peritumor vessel sign were studied.Results PSH lesions showed patchy increased 18F-FDG uptake with mean SUVmax on early and delayed PET/CT of 3.3 ± 1.1 and 3.4 ± 1.4,respectively.The mean retention index was (2.1 ± 20.8) ％.The morphological features of PSH on HRCT included findings such as a round/oval nodule or mass with well-defined margins and air meniscus sign.On muhi-phase contrast-enhanced CT,PSH showed moderate to high enhancement (the increased value:35 to 59 HU) with washout times from peak of 140 to 260 s,and 1 to 4 peritumor vessel signs.Conclusions A patchy pattern of high 18F-FDG uptake on PET/CT is suggestive of benign entity.Contrast-enhanced CT findings are very useful to increase the confidence for the diagnosis of PSH.
