Chinese Journal of Urology 2008;29(9):595-597
Objective To discuss the curative effect and the prognosis of patients with renal cell carcinoma after laparoscopic radical nephrectomy. Methods One hundred and twenty-seven cases of renal cell carcinoma treated with laparoscopic radical nephrectomy between October 2002 and Decem-ber 2006 were reviewed. The perioperative complications and postoperative renal function were recor-ded and analyzed. Post-operative 1-year and 3-year actuarial survival rates, disease-free survival rates and tumor-specific survival rates were caculated respectively with Kaplan-Meier analysis. Quality of life(QOL) was compared before and after surgery by Karnofsky Performance Status measuring scale. Results Among the 127 patients, 107 cases were followed up of mean 23 months (4-51 months). 1-year and 3-year actuarial survival rates, disease-free survival rates and tumor-specific survival rateswere 95.6%, 95.6%; 95.8%, 95.8% and 96.8%, 96.8%, respectively. 3-year actuarial survival rate, disease-free survival rate and tumor-specific survival rate were 97.1%,98.6%, 98.6% in pT1-2 tumors, and were 90.2%, 85.6%, 90.2%in pT3a, tumors. Disease-free survival rate and tumor-spe-cific survival rate had significant differences between patients in stage pT1-2 and patients in stagepTa3a.91.6% of the patients scored the post-operative QOL above 80 by Karnofsky Performance Sta-tus measuring scale. Conclusions Patients who underwent laparoscopic radical nephrectomy have high survival rate, low complication incidence and good QOL. Post-operative survival rate is correlated with pathologic stage.
2.KINETIC COLORIMETRIC DETERMINATION OF IODINE IN HIGH IODINE EGG
Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(01):-
A modified method of Watkinson's was used for the kinetic colorimetr-ic determination of iodine in high iodized egg with I~ catalytic arsenous acid and cerous sulfate. The lowest limit determination for iodine was 0.01ug.Coefficient of variation was 4.3-7.9% and recovery rate was 90.6-95.9%. As the I- catalytic action was so fast, that the operation time must be restricted to optimize the better determination.

Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2020;47(2):82-84
Objective: To compare the effects of dexmedetomidine and sufentanil (DS) combination and chloral hydrate (C) alone in pediatric patients during tumor radiotherapy. Methods: In total, 48 children treated with radiotherapy at Shenzhen People's Hospital from November 2018 to September 2019 were enrolled in this study. Changes in sedation onset, recovery, and radiation treatment time and those in mean arterial blood pressure (MAP), heart rate (HR) and oxygen saturation (SpO2) after sedation, and incidence of adverse reactions were recorded. Results: Overall, 48 patients (24 in Group DS and 23 in Group C) were ultimately included in the analysis after enrollment. Patients in Group DS had shorter recovery time and lower MAP, HR, and incidence of adverse reactions than those in Group C. The onset and treatment time did not significantly differ between the two groups. Conclusions: The use of the combination of dexmedetomidine and sufentanil was safe for pediatric patients during tumor radiotherapy and reduced recovery time. Keywords: dexmedetomidine, nasal drops, sufentanil, children, radiotherapy
6.Androgen receptor expression in triple negative breast cancer patients and its predictive value for clinical outcomes
Clinical Medicine of China 2016;32(5):440-443
Objective To investigate androgen receptor (AR) expression in triple negative breast cancer(TNBC) patients and its predictive value for clinical outcomes. Methods Five hundred and sixty-eight primary breast cancer patients who received surgery treatment from January 2008 to January 2010 were included in this study.Tissue sections of surgical resection specimens were underwent estrogen receptor (ER),progesterone receptor (PR),and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) immunohisto chemical staining, according to the judgment for triple negative breast cancer and non triple negative breast cancer.Data on age, family history, menstruation, tumor size, tumor stage, tumor grade, pathological type and lymph node metastasis were collected for analysis.Immunohistochemical analysis of AR was done in tissue sections of triple negative breast cancer patients,Kaplan-Meier method was used to compare survival between AR(+) and AR(-) groups, and Log-rank method was used to determine the association between AR-positive expression and 5-year overall survival as well as disease free survival. Results Among 568 breast cancer patients,174 (30.6%)TNBC patients were identified, including 84 patiens with AR (-) expression and 90 patients with AR (+) expression.During 5 years' follow-up,reccurrence rate was 35.7% (30/84) in AR (-) group and 20.0% (18/90) in AR(+) group;5-year overall survival rate was 73.8% in AR(-) group and 81.1% in AR(+) group. There was no significant association between AR(+) expression and 5-year death or recurrence rate, while after adjusting for age, menstruation, tumor size and lymph node metastasis,AR (+) expression was significantly associated with decreased 5-year death and recurrence rate, adjusted hazard ratio (HR) was 0.794,95CI (0.430-1.021) and 0.722,95CI (0.451-0.965) respectively. Conclusion AR (-) expression is associated with increased risk of death and recurrence and is a promising predictive marker for poor clinical outcomes.
7.Clinical Observations on Mind-tranquilizing Acupuncture for the Treatment of Scapulohumeral Periarthritis at the Early Stage of Adhesion
Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2017;36(8):986-990
Objective To investigate the efficacy of acupuncture at mind-tranquilizing points plus conventional shoulder points in treating scapulohumeral periarthritis (periarthritis of shoulder) at the early stage of adhesion. Method Sixty patients were randomly allocated to two groups. The treatment group received acupuncture at mind-tranquilizing points plus conventional shoulder points and the control group, at conventional points. In both groups, treatment was given three times a week, for two weeks. The Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) score, the Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) score, the Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) score and the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score were recorded before and after treatment. Result The VAS score, the HAMA score, the HAMD score and the JOA score improved in both groups after treatment compared with before (P<0.05). The VAS score and the HAMA score improved more in the treatment group than in the control group (P<0.05). There were no statistically significant post-treatment differences in the HAMD score and the JOA score between the treatment and control groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Mind-tranquilizing acupuncture plus conventional acupuncture is more effective than conventional acupuncture in treating scapulohumeral periarthritis at the early stage of adhesion.
8.Advances on the relationship between Notch signaling pathway and Th17 cells
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2017;30(6):657-660
The evolutionarily conserved Notch family widely exists in vertebrates and invertebrates and plays crucial roles in several biological processes such as embryogenesis, cell proliferation, apoptosis, as well as the differentiation and function of immune cell.Being different from Th1 and Th2 cell subsets, Th17 cells are new subset of CD4+ T cells and can secrete many kinds of cytokines, such as IL-17, IL-17F, IL-21 and IL-22.Recently, Th17 cells are considered to play important roles in asthma, rheumatic arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus and malignant tumor. This review focuses on the research progress of Notch signaling pathway and its regulatory roles on Th17 cells.

10.Impacts on the curative effect of peripheral facial paralysis treated with acupuncture and moxibustion at different times.
Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2013;33(12):1085-1087
OBJECTIVETo explore the optimal intervention time of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis.
METHODSTwo hundred and four cases of peripheral facial paralysis were collected in clinic for retrospective analysis. According to the time between the disease onset and the intervention of acupuncture and moxibustion, 3 groups (groups A, B and C) were divided. In group A, the treatment was given in 1 to 3 days after onset; in group B, the treatment was given in 4 to 7 days after onset; in group C the treatment was given in 8 to 10 days after onset. The treatment with acupuncture and moxibustion was applied according to the regular stages of disease in the three groups. At the acute stage, the less points and shallow puncture therapy combined with distal acupoints at the limbs were adopted on the affected side. At the stable stage, the more points and shallow puncture therapy were used on the affected side. At the recovery stage, the deep puncture or penetrating punctures was applied on the affected side. The curative effects was given once every day and the treatment of 10 days made one session. The curative effects were analyzed statistically at the end of three sessions of treatments separately.
RESULTSAt the end of the 1st session of treatment, the total effective rate was 58.8% (40/68) in group A, 69.7% (53/76) in group B and 46.6% (28/60) in group C. At the end of the 2nd session of treatment, the total effective rate was 85.3% (58/68), 90.8% (69/76) and 71.6% (43/60) in group A, B and C separately. At the end of 3rd session of treatment, the total effective rates were 89.7% (61/68), 97.4% (74/76) and 83.3% (50/60) in the three groups separately. The differences were significant statistically at the same session of treatment among three groups (all P<0.05), in which, the results in group B was the best, followed by group A and C in sequence.
CONCLUSIONthe best intervention time of acupuncture and moxibustion is in 4 to 7 days after onset of facial paralysis.
