2.Chinese medical syndromes of rheumatoid arthritis: a clinical literature study.

OBJECTIVETo explore the distribution features of Chinese medical syndromes of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) by literature retrieval.
METHODSPertinent articles on treating RA by syndrome differentiation were retrieved from China National Knowledge Infrastructure Databases (CNKI), VIP Chinese Biomedical Journal Database, Guizhou Digital Library, and Duxiu Chinese Academic Periodicals full papers database from January 2000 to December 2011.
RESULTSA total of 33 documents were recruited covering 4 233 cases. Damp-heat blocking collaterals syndrome occupied the top in the occurrence frequency (20 times, 60.61%), followed by deficiency of Gan and Shen syndrome (18 times, 54.55%), intermingled phlegm and blood-stasis syndrome (17 times, 51.52%), wind-cold-damp impediment syndrome (15 times, 45.45%), cold-damp blocking collaterals syndrome (14 times, 42.42%), wind-damp-heat impediment and deficiency of qi and blood syndrome (10 times, 30.30%), and intermingled cold and heat syndrome (9 times, 27.27%). According to the case number of patients, it was sequenced as damp-heat blocking collaterals syndrome syndrome (768 cases, 18.14%), wind-damp-heat impediment syndrome(666 cases, 15.73%), wind-cold-damp impediment syndrome(584 cases, 13.80%), cold-damp blocking collaterals syndrome syndrome (517 cases, 12.21%), intermingled cold and heat syndrome (415 cases, 9.80%), intermingled phlegm and blood-stasis syndrome (364 cases, 8.60%), deficiency of Gan and Shen syndrome (235 cases, 5.55%),asthenia of healthy energy due to lingering arthralgia syndrome (223 cases, 5.27%). The case numbers of remaining syndromes did not exceed 5%.
CONCLUSIONDamp-heat blocking collaterals syndrome was the main syndrome in RA patients, followed by wind-cold-damp impediment syndrome,wind-damp-heat impediment syndrome,cold-damp blocking collaterals syndrome,intermingled phlegm and blood-stasis syndrome, and deficiency of Gan and Shen syndrome.

3.Comparison of clinical efficacy between mini-invasive transforminal lumbar interbody fusion(mis-TLIF) assisted by Quadrant system and PLIF treatment for lumber spondylolisthesis

Objective To comparison of clinical efficacy between mini-invasive transforminal lumbar interbody fusion(mis-TLIF) assisted by Quadrant system and open posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF)treatment for lumber spondylolisthesis,to find a better treatment for lumbar spondylolisthesis.Methods A total of 65 cases who were under lumber spondylolisthesis were retrospectively selected from our hospital,26 cases in mini-invasive transforminal lumbar interbody fusion assisted by Quadrant system (mis-TLIF group).39 cases in open posterior lumbar interbody fusion(PLIF group).Record the incision length,intraoperative blood loss,opertive time,bed time,hospital time,pre-and post-operative visual analogue scale(VAS) and Oswestry disability index(ODI) score were recorded respectively.After surgery,the imaging(X-Ray) evalute the vertebral fusion status.Results There were no significant difference between mis-TLIF group and PLIF group in BMI [(22.77 ± 4.38) kg/m2 and (21.28 ± 5.24) kg/m2],preoperative VAS score [(6.46 ± 1.67) and (6.59 ± 1.56)],preoperative ODI score [(58.70 ± 7.19) % and (60.10 ± 9.56) %] (all P > 0.05).There were significant difference between two groups in incision length [(6.10 ± 0.95) cm and (11.12 ± 2.02) cm],intraoperative blood loss [(247.31 ± 36.72) ml and (340.51 ± 64.32) ml],opertive time[(179.96 ± 17.54) min and(151.85 ± 16.06) min],bed time[(3.62 ± 1.44) d and (4.98 ± 1.74) d],hospital time [(9.38 ± 2.60) d and (11.95 ± 3.61) d] (all P < 0.05).Postoperatively VAS score was assesssd at 1 month [(3.15 ± 1.08]),3months [(1.58 ± 0.81)],6months [(1.08 ± 0.74)] and ODI score was(30.77 ± 6.45) %,(25.54 ± 6.33) %,(20.23 ± 7.05) %,respectively in mis-TLIF group were lower than those of PLIF group (P < 0.05).There were no significant difference between two groups in the fusion rate in 3 months,6 months after operation.Conclusion Mis-TLIF had a lot of advantages relative to PLIF in the treatment of lumber spondylolisthesis,be like less trauma,less bleeding,less hospital time,quick rehabilitation and good curative effect,provide a new minimally invasive method for lumber spondylolisthesis patient.
4.Two-way Referral System for Direct Registration to Municipal Hospital from Community Medical Institutions

In order to realize the seamless connection between superior and inferior medical institutions and simplify the process of patient referral to superior medical hospitals from the community medical institutions,Zhenjiang First People's Hospital designs a two-way referral platform for direct registration to Zhenjiang First People’s Hospital from community medical institutions.The paper introduces the design process,features and realization steps of this platform.The platform can realize the sharing of patient information between the community medical institutions and the hospital,facilitate patients' seeing a doctor and improve medical service level.
5.Study on lipopolysaccharide tolerance and its mechanism in experimental acute pancreatitis mice

Objective To investigate lipopolysaccharide (LPS) tolerance and its possible mechanism in experimental acute pancreatitis(AP) mice. Methods Two hundreds and ten C56BL/6J mice were randomized into normal saline(NS)+LPS group( n =105)and AP +LPS group( n =105). Both groups were subdivided into seven groups according to different dose of LPS. AP model was induced by intra- abdominal administration of cerulein (50 ?g/kg) for seven times at 1 hour interval. LPS was given 6 hours after first cerulein injection . Cerulein was replaced by NS in NS+LPS group. Ten mice in each sub- group were randomly selected to investigate mortality rate for 7 days. Another 5 mice were killed at 12 hours after the first cerulein injection. Liver, lung, kidney, pancreas and serum were reserved to evaluate pathological changes and measurement of amylase (AMS) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) levels. Gene expression profiles of leucocyte in NS+LPS(15 mg/kg)subgroup and AP+LPS(15 mg/kg)subgroup were studied with oligonucleotide microarrays of 12 479 full length mouse genes respectively for three times to screen the different genes between two groups. Results Mortality rates in both groups were increased, and correlated with the dosage of LPS. Objective To investigate the effects of oxidized 1-palmitoyl-2- arachidonoyl-sn- glycero-3-phosphorylcholine (OXPAPC)in LPS signal pathway and acute necrotizing pancreatitis (ANP).Methods Eighty-eight SD rats were randomly divided into two groups:ANP group and ANP treat with OXPAPC group.ANP model was induced by injecting sodium taurocholate(5%)into pancreatic duct OXPAPC group was administered with OXPAPC at 0 hours and 6 hours after model establishment.Twenty rats from each group were separated to observe mortality.The others were killed at 12 hours,24 hours,48 hours and 72 hours respectively to detect serum levels of amylase and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH).Severity of pancreatitis was evaluated by histological score system.The activity of myeloperoxidase (MPO)in pancreas was determined by zymohistochemistry.Inflammatory factors mRNA hours after treated with OXPAPC were studied by semi-quantitative RT-PCP.Intracellular proteinase were investigated by western blot.EMSA was used to testify the activity of transcriptional factors.Results The mortality in OXPAPC group was significantly than that in ANP group. Serum amylase and LDH levels at significanfiy decreased the 12 hours and 24 hours after treated with OXPAPC.Histologically,OXPAPC reduced the severity of pancreatic injury including inflammatory cell infiltration and necrosis at 12 hours,24 hours,and 48 hours.There was a significant decrease of MPO activity in OXPAPC group compared to ANP group.Levels of inflammatory factors mRNA were reduced in OXPAPC group.Intracellular proteinase were down-regulated in OXPAPC group.EMSA showed that the activity of transcriptional factors weakened.Conclusion OXPAPC can block LPS signal pathway,so it can decrease the severity of ANP.

8.Determination of baicalin and wogonin in Chantui Zhike Granules by HPLC

AIM: To establish the determination of baicalin and wogonin in Chantui Zhike Granules (Periostracum Cicadae, Radix Scutellariae, etc.) by HPLC. METHODS: The determination was carried out by HPLC. The mobile phase was acetonitrile 0.6% phosphoric acid(45∶55) and UV detection wavelength was set at 275nm. The flow rate was 1.0mL?min -1 . The column temperature was at 40 ?C . RESULTS: The contents of baicalin and wogonin in Chantui Zhike Granules could be determined by HPLC. There was a good linearity between the absorption peak area and the concentration in the range of 0.104?g~0.52?g for baicalin and in the range of 0.03?g~0.15?g for wogonin, respectively. The average recoveries were 100.69%( RSD =1.75%) and 98.8%( RSD =1.01%) respectively. CONCLUSION: The method is simple, accurate and can be used to determine the contents of baicalin and wogonin in Chantui Zhike Granules.
9.The characteristics of functional impairment in acute stroke patients in the early stage and their correlation with efficacy of rehabilitationintervention

Objective To explore the functional impairment characteristics of acute stroke patients and cor- relate them to the functional independence after rehabilitation therapy. Methods Seventy-nine inpatients with stroke were divided into hemorrhage group and infarct group according to their condition.They are assessed by using measures of ESS,MBI,MMSE,Sheikh,Fugl-Meyer Balance and Fugl-Meyer motor assessment before rehabilitation treatment.After 1 month of treatment,all the patients were evaluated again using FIM.Correlation analysis was con- ducted with all the parameters. Aim To investigate the intraspecific variation of Carthamus tinctorius L. (safflower) and establish foundation for further breeding of safflower germplasm resource and screening the quality correlation genes. Methods Amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) was carried out to analyze genetic variation of 28 safflower populations collected in China. Unweighed pair-group method of with arithmetical averages (UPGMA) cluster analysis was used to construct a dendrogram and to estimate the genetic distances among the populations. Results All populations could be uniquely distinguished using 12 selected primer combinations. Similarity coefficients ranged from 0. 48 to 0. 96 among the populations.Dendrogram revealed distinct segregation of all the cultivars into three main groups and one midst group.Conclusion Limited genetic diversity exists within the tested 28 collections at intra specific level and AFLP-based phylogeny was not absolutely consistent with that based on morphological characters may be due to the interaction effect between genotype and environment.
