4.Bacterial vaginitis at the Institute of Dermato-verereology in the years 2001 - 2002
Journal of Practical Medicine 2003;459(9):27-28
The study carries on 1209 female patients from 16 to 55 years old at dermatology of dermatological hospital. These patients were tested to diagnose infected Bacteria vaginosis (BV), in particular, they were candled directly under optical microscope with enlargement 1000X to discover BV. The results were the rate infectious BV is the highest at the age group 26 – 35 (2.58%), and the age group 35 – 45 (2.4%), the possitive rate of the age group 26 – 45 is 4.98%. The total of infected patients is 27/1209 patients (2.23%). The rate infected BV of this research is much less than some studies of European countries as Poland, Swede, Belgium, England...

7.Antibiotic susceptibility of neisseria gonorrhoeae isolates at the Institute of dermato-venereology, Hanoi, 1997
Journal of Preventive Medicine 2003;13(5):50-54
In the year 1997, at the National Institute of Dermato-Venerology, 2025 patients with the syndrome of vaginal and excretion underwent direct examinations and bacterial culture. Their 156 (7.7%) had positive reactions of blenorrhagy. Test of sensitivity on 156 strains of isolated gonoccoccus to antibiotics showed a rate of resistance to penicillin of 76.92%, tetracyclin 35.9%. All the isolated strains were sensitive to ceftriaxone 100%, spectinomycine 100% and 98.44% to cephalothine, 95.51% to chloramphenicol, 93.42% to ciprofloxacine. There was a PPNG rate of 64.2%

9.Side effects and toxicities of chemotherapy on blood forming organ of children with acute lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)
Journal of Medical Research 2007;49(3):10-15
Background: Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most common cancer in children. Nowadays there have been achievements in treatment for ALL but side effects and toxicities of chemotherapy are still the major causes of death. Objectives: (1) To find out the rate and grades of side effects and toxicities of chemotherapy on blood forming organ of children with ALL ; (2) to study characteristics of toxicity on blood forming organ in phase of chemotherapy. Subjects and methods: 67 patients with ALL were admitted to Hematology and Oncology Departments of National Hospital of Pediatrics and were treated with chemotherapy of CCG (children cancer group) protocol. Grades of myelosuppression were followed by CCG criteria. Results (l) side effects and toxicities on blood forming organ were common and severe: Leucopenia accounted for 95,5% (grades 3 - 4: 83,6%); neutropenia was 100% (grades 3 - 4: 98,5%); thrombocytopenia was 92,5% (grades 3 - 4: 80,6%); anemia accounted for 98,5% (grades 3 - 4: 58,2%); lymphocytopenia was 89,6% (grades 3 - 4: 64,1%); and marked hypocellularity of marrow was 78,8% in the 14th day (grades 3 - 4: 57,4%) but (2) most of them occurred in the first 2 weeks. Conclusion: Side effects and toxicities of chemotherapy on blood forming organ was common and at quite severe levels but mainly occured in the first two weeks\r\n', u'\r\n', u'\r\n', u'

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2008;18(2):5-11
Background: Cervical cancer is one of the leading cancers in women worldwide.\r\n', u'Objectives: To evaluate the knowledge, attitude and practice towards cervical cancer and its preventive measures among the parents of young adolescent girls. \r\n', u'Subjects and methods: The cross-sectional survey was conducted in Tuliem District, Hanoi and Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh city. By employing a structured interview there have been 218 fathers/mothers of young adolescent girls at secondary school age (11to14 years old) participated in the survey. \r\n', u"Results: There was a limitation in the respondents' understanding about cervical cancer. Although 83% parents have been aware of cervical cancer and 89% considered it as a fatal disease, nearly a half of them does not know any symptoms of the disease. Similarly, inadequate knowledge on causes and risk factors of the disease has been common among respondents. Only 25% of parents are aware of HPV and few knew about the transmission route of this virus. HPV vaccines are still very new for parents. Only 29.8% of interviewees have heard about HPV vaccines. However, 74.3% parents have expressed a wish to have their daughters vaccinated, once HPV vaccines are introduced in Vietnam. \r\n", u'Conclusions: Knowledge, attitude and practice towards cervical cancer among parents of young adolescent girls in these district were quite limited\r\n', u'\r\n', u'
