An cross-sectional epidemiologic study on 216 cadres of Hoan Kiem Industry and Commercial Bank in Hanoi showed that: the average BMI was 16.7 ± 8.7, mild malnutrition 6.9%; overweight at 1st level 10.2%; health at IV level 0.9%. Military and civilian health joining is an objective indispensability. In 1996, the Ministry of Health decided to establish the Professional Advisory Council for Disaster Medicine and Burn. Out of 30 members of the Council, 14 are military health professionals.
