1.Early results of surgical treatment of chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs at Binh Dan and NhanDan Gia Dinh Hospital

Retrospective study on 56 patients (24 males, 32 females) with chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs that CEAP classification from 2 to 5 degree. Most of them got a job needed long standing as textile employee, teacher. 58.9% had been dissected by ligation the venous tranks with stripping them, 25% had been Muller operation alone for other branches. Good result was 92%, complications was not serious, the rate of damage of tranks neuvous was 7,2% in internal ankle area - To reduce the treatment of internal medicine

2.Surgical treatment of hyperparathyroid tumor and pathological bone fracture at Binh Dan and Nhan dan Gia Dinh Hospital

Prospective study on patients were hospitalized because of pathological bone fracture with hypercalcemia from September 1999 to January 2003. Operating 7 cases of parathyroid tumors (4 cases in right, 3 cases in left). Thyroid gland ultrasound in 7 patients, MRI in 2 patients. All 7 patients had hypercalcemia and 4 had osteoporosis. Histological findings were parathyroid adenoma in 6 cases and carcinoma in 1 case. During postoperation time, the calcemia dropped clearly. After 3 - 6 months follow up, the bone density on X-ray was improved
