Objective To explore the nursing intervention effects of different volume syringe on flushing the jejunum nutrient tube for enteral nutrition pipeline obstruction among pediatric patients. Methods 62 pediatric patients with pipe plugging were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group.Different volume syringes as 5 ml and 10 ml were used as punching tools respectively. The cases of recanalization, the rate of one time recanalization, the rate of unplanned extubation and the total time for nurse treatment of pipe plugging were compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant difference in the cases of recanalization, the rate of one time recanalization and unplanned extubation between the two groups (P>0.05).The total time for nurse treatment of pipe plugging in the control group was higher than that in the observation group [(8.2±1.2) h vs.(7.2±0.9) h,P<0.05].Conclusion 5 ml volume syringe as a tube washing tool after pipeline obstruction, can not only save labors but also save time, which can improve the work efficiency of nurses.
2.Correlation analysis of clinical nurses' empowerment and hospital magnetic
Chinese Journal of Modern Nursing 2021;27(17):2336-2339
Objective:To explore the status quo of empowerment perceived by clinical nurses and magnetic level in hospitals, and analyze the relationship between them. Methods:A total of 260 clinical nurses from 3 ClassⅢ Grade A hospitals in Nanjing from April 2020 to June 2020 were investigated by convenience sampling method. The general information questionnaire, the Chinese version of Essentials of Magnetism Scale (EMO Ⅱ) and Leadership Empowerment Behavior Scale were applied in the investigation. A total of 260 questionnaires were distributed, and 249 valid questionnaires were collected. Results:The total score of 249 clinical nurses' perception of empowerment behavior was (98.41±9.92) . The total score of Chinese version of EMOⅡ was (132.28±18.93) . The results of hierarchical regression analysis show that after controlling for general data, Personal development support and work guidance in leadership empowerment behavior can explain 37.2% of the total variation of the hospital's magnetic level. Conclusions:There is a close relationship between the empowerment perceived by clinical nurses and the magnetic level of hospitals. Nursing managers should strengthen the empowerment of clinical nurses through various ways, so as to improve their perceived hospital magnetic level, reduce staff turnover, and stabilize the excellent clinical nursing team.

Objective To explore pediatric nurses' perceptions about patients' safety culture and identify the factors that affect patients' safety culture so as to provide evidences for improving patients' safety. Methods A cross-sectional study with convenience sampling was performed on 886 pediatric nurses working in a children's hospital from July 2016 to September 2016. Patients' safety culture was assessed using the Chinese version of the Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture. Results 74.1% of nurses evaluated patients' safety grade as either 'very good' or 'good'. The advantage areas with positive responsive rates higher than 75% were described as follows "feedback and communication about error", "teamwork within units" and "organizational learning and continuous improvement". Areas need to be improved with positive responsive rates lower than 50% included "staffing" and "frequency of events reported". Multiple linear regression analysis indicated that ages and overtime work of nurses were main factors that affected nurses' knowledge of patients' safety culture. The two factors explained 10.8% of total variation. Conclusions Nurses in the children's hospital has an overall high level of knowledge to patients' safety culture. However, several aspects need to be improved. It is necessary to provide positive interventions to factors that affect knowledge of safety culture.
