To summarize the status of chinese medicine syndrome study in chronic prostatitis, emphatically analyze the key problems. In the national standard and textbook, the names of four syndrome types are not unifi ed, difference of symptoms description still exist, and diagnostic criteria of basic syndrome type needs to be clarified. Analysis of literature showed that syndrome differentiation was commonly based on the experience of physician in clinical practice. In addition to the four syndrome types, occurrence frequency of spleen qi deficiency and liver qi stagnation syndrome types are relatively high. Research method of syndrome should be improved urgently. This paper proposes counter measures: Clarify the commonly basic syndrome types and syndrome differentiation standards. Formulate the quantitative diagnostic criteria of basic syndrome types.conduct the prospectively multicenter clinical survey.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2016;22(2):245-248
Acupuncture for stroke rehabilitation is of multi-targets, the treatments of which are not only for hemiplegia, but also cover a wide variety of aspects, such as aphasia, dysphagia, dysarthria, cognitive disorders, bowel or bladder dysfunction, ataxia and post hemiple-gic pain, etc. Based on the experiences of stroke rehabilitation with Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine over 20 years, this paper discussed the selection of acupoints, needling manipulations, opportunity of intervention, quantity of stimulations, the needle-retaining time as well as the impact on spasticity after hemiplegia referring to ancient and modern literatures and modern rehabilitation theory.

A new embedded telemetry system for potentiometric sensors was developed. The system consisted of a transmitter unit, a receiver unit and a personal computer ( PC) . The transmitter unit included a current amplifier, a∑-Δanalog-to-digital converter ( ADC) , a microcontroller unit ( MCU) and a radio module. The receiver unit was composed of a radio module, a microcontroller unit and a serial-to-USB converter module. The receiver unit was connected to an upper computer via a universal serial bus ( USB ) . The embedded software written in C language controlled the signal acquisition and transmission. The computer software written in LabVIEW language was used for data storage and display. The range of the acquisition voltages was from-1. 17 V to +1. 17 V. In order to verify the accuracy and reliability of this system, a control experiment had been done with this system and a digital multimeter. Moreover, a response test of acidity changes had been done with the self-made H+ selective electrode. The results showed that the accuracy of this system could be up to 0. 1 mV and it had strong anti-noise ability. The square of the linear correlation coefficient of the response of the changes in pH values was 0 . 998 . The curve of the results measured by this system was consistent with that measured by the commercial electrochemical analyzer. The system was built with standard hardware components and the size of the transmitter unit was only 29 mm×14 mm×11 mm. It can be easily used for remote and real-time detection for the potentiometric sensor.

Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect and mechanism of Huzhangyuzhuo decoction on treating chronic pelvic pain syndrome(CPPS).Methods:46 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into control group(n=10) and experiment group(n=36).The CPPS rat model was induced by intraperitoneal injection of diphtheria-pertussis-tetanus vaccine and subcutaneous injection of puri ed prostate protein with FCA suspension.Rats in experiment group were subdivided into model group,Chinese medicine group and western medicine group(n=12).After 30 days of treatment, pathology changes of prostate were observed, and levels of IL-1?,COX-2,PGE2,?-EP in prostate homogenate were measured by ELISA.Results:Huzhangyuzhuo decoction greatly reduced the in ammation of prostate and relieved the structure damage. At the same time,Huzhangyuzhuo decoction can decrease the level of IL-1?,COX-2,PGE2 and increase level of ?-EP.Conclusions:Huzhangyuzhuo decoction might treat CPPS by regulating of cytokines in the prostate, depressing in ammation and relieving structure damage.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2015;21(5):575-578
Objective To investigate the effects of electroacupuncture on head Shen- acupoints on cognitive dysfunction after stroke. Methods 35 cases with cognitive dysfunction after stroke were divided into treatment group (n=19) and control group (n=16). The control group received conventional treatment, while the treatment group received electroacupuncture on Sishencong (EX-HN1), Shenting (GV24) and Benshen (GB13) in addition. They were assessed with Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) and Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) before and after 4-week treatment. Results The scores of MMSE and MoCA increased more in the treatment group than in the control group (P<0.05). The scores of visuospatial abilities and executive functions, attention and concentration, calculation, memory and orientation of MoCA improved more in the treatment group than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Electroacupuncture on head Shen-acupoints can improve cognitive function in patients after stroke.

Objective To explore the relationship between temperature and change of serum electrolytes (potassium, natrium, chlorine, and calcium) in patients with spinal cord injury. Methods 321 patients with spinal cord injury (SCI) following fever were regarded as observation group, while 313 SCI patients in normal temperature as control group. The level of serum electrolytes (potassium, natrium, chlorine, and calcium) in both groups was analyzed. Results There was no significant difference in the level of serum potassium (P>0.05), but was in the serum natrium, chlorine, and calcium (P<0.05) between 2 groups. The level of serum potassium didn't correlated with their temperature, and the level of serum natrium, chlorine, and calcium correlated with the temperature negatively. Conclusion The level of serum natrium, chlorine, and calcium may decrease in SCI patients following fever while the level of serum natrium is unchanged.

Objective To explore the effects of Chinese flutter massage on spasticity, motor function and activities of daily living (ADL)in post-stroke hemiplegics. Methods 44 stroke patients with spastic hemiplegia were divided into 2 groups randomly, 22 cases in eachgroup. The control group received routine massage and rehabilitation, the observation group received flutter massage and rehabilitation. They were assessed with Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS), Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA), and Barthel Index (BI) before and 4 weeks aftertreatment. Results There was no significant difference in spasticity in both groups (P>0.05). The scores of FMA and BI improved aftertreatment in both groups (P<0.05), and improved more in the observation than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Flutter massagecan promote the recovery of motor and ADL in plastic hemiplegics without improvment of spasticity.
