Objective To study the relationship between social support and quality of life in surgical patients with breast cancer. Methods Quality of life and social support status of 78 patients with breast cancer were evaluated by FACT-B and SSRS,and their correlation analysis was carried out Results The scores of emotional status and functional well - being in the aspact of life quality were lower (9.10±3.99,12.81 ±7.99) for patients with breast cancer, while total score of social support (36.93 ± 6.42) was higher than the average (34.56 ± 3.73). Life quality of breast cancer patients in terms of physiological condition, social/family status and emotional status were significantly positively related with total score of social support. Conclusions Social support was an important factor affecting the quality of life in breast cancer patients. Nurses should pay more attention to and make full use of social support resources of patients, in order to improve and enhance patients' quality of life through a variety of interventions.

AIM:To investigate the effects of nodosin extracted from Chinese traditional medicine on the pro-liferation of HepG2 cells cultured in vitro and to detect the protein expression of Bcl-2 and Bax in HepG2 cells.METH-ODS:HepG2 cells were treated with different concentrations (1.25, 2.5, 5, 10 and 20 μmol/L) of nodosin for 24 h. The morphological changes of HepG2 cells were observed under inverted microscope. The inhibitory rates of HepG2 cell growth were detected by MTT assay. The apoptotic rates and the protein expression of Bcl-2 and Bax were analyzed by flow cytometry.RESULTS:Shrunken and suspended HepG2 cells increased with the increases in the concentrations of nodo-sin.The apoptotic rates and the expression of Bax increased with the increases in the doses of nodosin, while the expression of Bcl-2 decreased.CONCLUSION:Nodosin inhibits the growth of HepG2 cells in a dose-dependent manner. The inhibi-tion of HepG2 cell growth is induced by decreasing Bcl-2 and increasing Bax, thus promoting cell apoptosis.

Objective To develop an oligonucleotide array to detect single nucleotide mutations in 23S rRNA gene. Methods Primers and probes targeting A2142G.A2143G and C2182T mutations in 23S rRNA gene were designed tp develop an oligonucleotide array.Samples were performed by an asymmetric PCR and the PCR products were hybridized with the specific DNA microarray chips.Non fluorescence-labeled PCR products were cloned into T vectors. The results of oligonucleofide array were confirmed by direct DNA sequencing and evaluated by minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC).Results The results obtained from oligonucleotide microarray were identical to those of direct sequencing. In 54 Helicobacter pylori samples, oligonucleotide microarray indicated that no A-to-C transition at 2142 was found, and the mutant rate of A2143G was 11.11 % (6/54),the mutant rate of C2182T was 12.96% (7/54).A2143C,A2143T,C2182A and C2182G mutations were not found. The other specimens were wild-type.All the above results were the same as that of MIC tests. Conclusions The oligonucleofide microarray is a reliable and accurate genotyping assay for clarithromycin-resistance of Helieobaeter pylofi. It is high-throughput screening method for gastric mucosa and improve the application of strategy for personalized therapy.

Resveratrol is a natural phytoalexin with special pharmacological and health functions. Stilbene synthase (STS) is a key and rate-limiting enzyme in the biosynthesis of resveratrol that is present only in a limited number of plants. The content of resveratrol from Polygonum cuspidatum is more than 1000 times higher than grapes and peanuts. We speculate that the catalytic ability of different STS may be one of the reasons causing differences in the content of resveratrol. To verify the above speculation, Vitis vinifera stilbene synthase gene (VvSTS) was amplified according to overlap PCR protocol with genomic DNA as template. VvSTS and PcSTS (PcPKS5) were analyzed through heterologous expression in Escherichia coli. The expression products were purified with Ni-NTA sepharose affinity chromatography and desalted through PD-10 column. The molecular weight of the two fusion proteins was about 43 kDa. Enzyme reaction and product analysis showed that the two products were resveratrol. The enzyme kinetic analysis showed that the catalyze efficiency (Kcat/Km) of PcPKS5 was 2.4 times of the VvSTS. Our findings confirms that STS from certain plants has much higher catalytic capability.

Objective To explore the value of IL-1 β and IL-18 in predicting the prognosis of patients with RA-IP.Methods One hundred and five patients diagnosed as RA-IP were involved and their baseline information were recorded. Then, all of the 105 patients were followed-up for 1 year and divided into two groups according to the outcomes of follow-up.The poor prognosis rate of patients was showed by survival curves.Single factor analysis and multiple factors Cox's model analysis were applied to evaluate the influencing degree of factors affecting the prognosis of RA-IP.Meanwhile,the difference of the selected factors of two groups was analyzed and the sensitivity and specificity of the factors in predicting prognosis of patients were calculated by ROC curves. Results The results of single factor analysis and multiple factors Cox's model analysis showed that RF-IgM IL-1 β and IL-18 had influence on the prognosis of patients with RA-IP and IL-1β was the most influential factor (RR =1.624).Compared with those in the favorable group,IL-1 β,IL-18,and the positive numbers of RF-IgM (x2 =4.152,P =0.042) in the unfavorable group were higher. The ROC analysis showed that the AUC of IL-1 β was the highest, and the sensitivity and specificity were 55.9% and 86.2%,respectively.Conclusion IL-1 β may assess the prognosis of patients with RA-IP.

Objective To investigate the safety, feasibility and clinical application effect of upper arm totally implantable venous access port (TIVAP) inserted by the combination of oncologists and nurses in patients with tumor. Methods A total of 34 patients, who needed long-term transfusion treatment, were included in this study with upper arm TIVAP from March 2017 and December 2017.There were 20 males and 14 females. The median age was 63 (35 ~ 83) years.Upper arm TIVAP was implanted by both doctors and nurses into the patients with tumor, and the TIVAP related success rate, complications and patients satisfaction were recorded. Results 34 patients all succeeded in TIVAP implantation with the operation success rate of 100%.The average operation time was about 40 minutes (30 to 60 minutes) from the disinfecting cloth to the end of the suture. The operations of all patients were successful. After the operation two patients died of cancer progression, one patient had soft tissue infection around capsular bag,None of the patients had other complications such as blocked infusion, catheter shift, port reversal, and so on,and the incidence of complication was 2.94% (1/34).Conclusions Upper arm TIVAP has the advantages of safe puncture, shorter operation time, few intra-operative and post-operative complications and higher feasibility for operation by both oncologist and nurse, which can supplement the limitations and deficiencies of the chest wall port and PICC in a certain extent, therefore is a good choice for clinical application.
