Objective To investigate current situation of disaster medicine courses among medical schools in China and perception of disaster management among medical students. Methods The survey was conducted among medical students from 14 medical schools in China.A questionnaire which included self-evaluation of ability to practice disaster management, status of disaster medicine courses and self-interest in learning disaster management was used. Results The survey showed that only a few of medical schools offered disaster medicine courses and the quality of current courses was not satisfying.Medical students were generally lack of systematic perception of disaster management, but they were interested in studying related knowledge. Conclusions It is necessary to design disaster medicine courses of high quality and promote them among medical schools in China. It can not only meet the requirements of medical students, but also effectively improve the response capacity of medical students and doctors when facing catastrophes.

Objective:
To investigate the clinicopathologic features, molecular characteristics and prognosis of spread through air space (STAS) in patients with adenocarcinoma of the lung.
Methods:
Two hundred and eighty-eight lung adenocarcinoma patients with complete clinicopathologic and follow-up data were included. The patients were divided into STAS positive (178 cases) and negative (110 cases) groups.EGFR and KRAS gene mutations were detected by amplification refractory mutation system (ARMS), and ALK and ROS1 gene fusion were detected by fluorescence in situ hybridization method. The relationship between STAS and clinicopathologic, molecular features, and patient outcome was analyzed.
Results:
STAS was present in 61.8%(178/288) of lung adenocarcinomas. The positive rate of STAS in tumors >3 cm was significantly higher than that in tumors ≤3 cm (

Objective To investigate the safety, feasibility and clinical application effect of upper arm totally implantable venous access port (TIVAP) inserted by the combination of oncologists and nurses in patients with tumor. Methods A total of 34 patients, who needed long-term transfusion treatment, were included in this study with upper arm TIVAP from March 2017 and December 2017.There were 20 males and 14 females. The median age was 63 (35 ~ 83) years.Upper arm TIVAP was implanted by both doctors and nurses into the patients with tumor, and the TIVAP related success rate, complications and patients satisfaction were recorded. Results 34 patients all succeeded in TIVAP implantation with the operation success rate of 100%.The average operation time was about 40 minutes (30 to 60 minutes) from the disinfecting cloth to the end of the suture. The operations of all patients were successful. After the operation two patients died of cancer progression, one patient had soft tissue infection around capsular bag,None of the patients had other complications such as blocked infusion, catheter shift, port reversal, and so on,and the incidence of complication was 2.94% (1/34).Conclusions Upper arm TIVAP has the advantages of safe puncture, shorter operation time, few intra-operative and post-operative complications and higher feasibility for operation by both oncologist and nurse, which can supplement the limitations and deficiencies of the chest wall port and PICC in a certain extent, therefore is a good choice for clinical application.
