ObjectiveTo explore the effects of angle and original moisture content on the moisture distribution， migration and contents of effective components in the drying process of sliced Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma（SMRR）. MethodsSet the slicing angles of SMRR at 30°， 45°， and 90°. Cut the fresh samples， 1/3 dehydrated samples， and 2/3 dehydrated samples， dry them in an oven at 40 ℃ and take samples at the set time points. Low-field nuclear magnetic resonance（LF-NMR） and magnetic resonance imaging（MRI） were used to analyze the changes in transverse relaxation time（T₂） of SMRR samples in 9 treatment groups at specific times， as well as the distribution and migration of water in the samples. The contents of tanshinone Ⅱ_A， tanshinone Ⅰ， cryptotanshinone， and salvianolic acid B in samples from 9 different treatment groups were determined by high performance liquid chromatography（HPLC）， and the best processing technology of SMRR was screened by combining with One-way ANOVA， Duncan multiple comparison and principal component analysis（PCA）. ResultsThe moisture content of dry basis of SMRR in each treatment group decreased with the extension of drying time. The drying rate of fresh cut group decreased slowly at first， while the drying rate of water loss group showed a trend of increasing at first and then decreasing. The internal water of SMRR could be divided into three states， including bound water， non flowing water and free water. During the drying process， the water migration law showed that the free water of fresh cut group disappeared after drying for 12 h， the content of bound water gradually decreased， and the overall fluidity deteriorated. In the water loss group， part of the free water was transformed into more cohesive and non flowing water after drying for 3 h， and the three kinds of water basically disappeared after drying for 12 h. The MRI results showed that the entire dehydration process slowly moved from the outer side to the center， and the internal water eventually dissipated. In terms of the contents of active ingredients， the order of the effect of slicing angle on the total content of active ingredients in SMRR was 30°>45°>90°. The content of tanshinones was ranked as 1/3 dehydrated group>2/3 dehydrated group>fresh cut group， and the content of salvianolic acid B was ranked as 1/3 dehydrated group>fresh cut group>2/3 dehydrated group. Combined with the results of PCA and comprehensive scoring results， the overall level of effective component content in SMRR was the highest when cut at 30° after 1/3 of water loss. ConclusionAfter comprehensive evaluation， SMRR can be sliced at 30° after 1/3 of water loss. It is not only easy to cut， but also the surface and cross-sectional colors remain basically unchanged after drying， which is similar to the color under traditional processing， and the effective ingredients are preserved the highest. This study can provide a basis for the optimization of processing technology of SMRR.

Pinellia ternata， belonging to the Pinellia genus within the Araceae family， is a medicinal plant due to its tubers. There are severe issues with unclear germplasm and mixed varieties in its cultivation， necessitating urgent new variety protection efforts. The distinctness， uniformity， and stability （DUS） testing of the plant variety is the basis for protecting new plant varieties， and the DUS test guidelines are the technical basis for DUS testing. To develop the DUS test guidelines for P. ternata， agronomic traits of 229 germplasm of P. ternata were observed and measured during its two growth stages over the years， and each character was graded and described. A total of 38 traits were selected as the test traits of the DUS test guideline for P. ternata. There were three plant traits， 19 leaf traits， six flower traits， two fruit traits， two tuber traits， five bulbil traits， and one ploidy trait. These traits could be divided into 22 quality characters， 12 quantitative characters， and four pseudo-quantitative characters， as well as seven groups， including plants， leaves， flowers， fruit， tubers， bulbils， and ploidy. By searching for standard traits， 10 standard varieties were ultimately determined. Preparing these guidelines will have great significance for reviewing and protecting P. ternata varieties， safeguarding breeders' rights， and promoting the development of the P. ternata industry.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of rhizosphere organic acids secreted by the roots of Salvia miltiorrhiza on continuous cropping obstacles. MethodsThe mixed solution of organic acids in the rhizosphere of S. miltiorrhiza in continuous cropping and rotation cropping was added to the hairy roots subcultured for 21 days， and samples were collected on days 0， 2， 4， 6， 8， and 10. The changes of biomass， effective components， primary metabolites， secondary metabolites， antioxidant enzymes， and hormones in hairy roots of S. miltiorrhiza were observed and determined. ResultsCompared with the rotation cropping group and the blank control group， the simulation of organic acid secretion from the roots of S. miltiorrhiza had a significant inhibitory effect on the growth of hairy roots and decreased the content of effective components as well as total sugar and total protein in primary metabolites. Compared with the blank control group， the rotation cropping group and the continuous cropping group showed total sugar and total protein content decreases of 33.9% and 5.1%， respectively. On the other hand， the secretion of organic acids from S. miltiorrhiza roots significantly promoted the accumulation of total phenolic acids and total tanshinone， which showed increases of 14.6% and 1.6%， respectively， in continuous cropping group and rotation cropping group compared with the blank control group. ConclusionThe organic acid environment under continuous cropping significantly inhibited the growth of hairy roots and the accumulation of primary metabolites， while promoting the synthesis and accumulation of secondary metabolites of S. miltiorrhiza.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical effect on functional dyspepsia differentiated as liver-stomach disharmony treated with acupoint application of Chinese herbal medicine and wax therapy on the basis of Professor TIAN Conghuo's theory, "regulating qi movement". METHODS: A total of 120 patients with functional dyspepsia of liver-stomach disharmony were randomly assigned to a combined therapy group (30 cases, 1 case dropped out), an acupoint application group (30 cases, 1 case dropped out), a wax therapy group (30 cases, 1 case dropped out) and a basic therapy group (30 cases, 2 cases dropped out). In the basic therapy group, omeprazole magnesium enteric-coated tablets were administered orally, 20 mg each time, once daily. Besides the treatment as the basic therapy group, the Chinese herbal acupoint application was used at Zhongwan (CV12) and Shenque (CV8) in the acupoint application group, and remained for 4 h in each intervention; and in the wax therapy group, wax therapy was delivered at the sites of Zhongwan (CV12) and Shenque (CV8) of the abdominal region and remained for 20 min in each intervention; and in the combined therapy group, the acupoint application was combined with wax therapy, administered once every other day or every two days, 3 times weekly. The duration of treatment was 4 weeks in the four groups. Before and after treatment, the score of main symptoms, the score of 36-item short-form health survey (SF-36) and the score of liver-stomach disharmony pattern were observed; and the clinical effect was evaluated in the four groups. RESULTS: After treatment, regarding main symptoms and liver-stomach disharmony pattern, the score of every item was lower than that before treatment in the 4 groups (P<0.01). The score for each dimension in SF-36 was higher than that before treatment in the combined therapy group and the acupoint application group (P<0.01, P<0.05). In the wax therapy group, the scores for physiological activities, bodily pain, general health, vitality, social activities and mental health in SF-36 were higher than those before treatment (P<0.01, P<0.05). In the basic therapy group, the scores for physiological performance, bodily pain, general health and mental health in SF-36 were higher than those before treatment (P<0.05, P<0.01). After treatment, in the combined therapy group, the score for gastric distension and discomforts was lower than those of the basic therapy group and the wax therapy group (P<0.01), and the scores for gastric fullness in the morning, pain in the upper abdominal region and burning sensation in the upper abdominal region, as well as the score for liver-stomach disharmony pattern were lower than those in the rest 3 groups (P<0.01, P<0.05). In the combined therapy group, the scores for physiological activities, physiological performance, and bodily pain were higher than those of the basic therapy group (P<0.01, P<0.05), the scores for physiological activities and bodily pain were higher when compared with those in the acupoint application group (P<0.01, P<0.05) and the scores for physiological activities and vitality were higher when compared with those in the wax therapy group (P<0.05). After treatment, the score for each item of main symptoms, the score for liver-stomach disharmony pattern in the acupoint application group, and the score for liver-stomach disharmony pattern in the wax therapy group were all lower in comparison with those in the basic therapy group (P<0.01, P<0.05). The total effective rates was 93.3% (28/30), 73.3% (22/30), 66.7% (20/30) and 50.0% (15/30) in the combined therapy group, the acupoint application group, the wax therapy group and the basic therapy group, respectively; and the total effective rate in the combined therapy group was superior to the other 3 groups (P<0.01); the total effective rates in the acupoint application group and the wax therapy group were higher than that in the basic therapy group (P<0.01). CONCLUSION The combination of acupoint application with Chinese herbal medicine and wax therapy, based on Professor TIAN Conghuo's theory of "regulating qi movement", can effectively treat functional dyspepsia, alleviate main symptoms and improve the quality of life in the patients.

BACKGROUND: The level of measurable residual disease (MRD) before and after transplantation is related to inferior transplant outcomes, and post-hematopoietic stem cell transplantation measurable residual disease (post-HSCT MRD) has higher prognostic value in determining risk than pre-hematopoietic stem cell transplantation measurable residual disease (pre-HSCT MRD). However, only a few work has been devoted to the risk factors for positive post-HSCT MRD in patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). This study evaluated the risk factors for post-HSCT MRD positivity in patients with ALL who underwent allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT). METHODS: A total of 1683 ALL patients from Peking University People's Hospital between January 2009 and December 2019 were enrolled to evaluate the cumulative incidence of post-HSCT MRD. Cox proportional hazard regression models were built for time-to-event outcomes. Multivariable analysis was performed to determine independent influencing factors from the univariable analysis. RESULTS: Both in total patients and in T-cell ALL or B-cell ALL, pediatric or adult, human leukocyte antigen-matched sibling donor transplantation or haploidentical SCT subgroups, positive pre-HSCT MRD was a risk factor for post-HSCT MRD positivity ( P  <0.001 for all). Disease status (complete remission 1 [CR1] vs . ≥CR2) was also a risk factor for post-HSCT MRD positivity in all patients and in the B cell-ALL, pediatric, or haploidentical SCT subgroups ( P  = 0.027; P  = 0.003; P  = 0.035; P  = 0.003, respectively). A risk score for post-HSCT MRD positivity was developed using the variables pre-HSCT MRD and disease status. The cumulative incidence of post-HSCT MRD positivity was 12.3%, 25.1%, and 38.8% for subjects with scores of 0, 1, and 2-3, respectively ( P  <0.001). Multivariable analysis confirmed the association of the risk score with the cumulative incidence of post-HSCT MRD positivity and relapse as well as leukemia-free survival and overall survival. CONCLUSION Our results indicated that positive pre-MRD and disease status were two independent risk factors for post-HSCT MRD positivity in patients with ALL who underwent allo-HSCT.

ObjectivesTo investigate the effect of acupuncture intervention at different time during the acute phase of ischemic stroke on limb motor dysfunction 6 months after onset. MethodsThe enrolled ischemic stroke patients from four tertiary hospitals all received western basic treatment for ≥14 days； additionally， they were given the cleaning-mind and opening-orifices acupuncture method， with acupuncture at bilateral Neiguan （PC 6）， Shuigou （GV 26）， and Sanyinjiao （SP 6） of the affected side， once a day for at least 2 times. Three cohorts were formed by the timing of acupuncture intervention of the onset of the disease within 10 days， namely， the acupuncture group of 1-3 days after onset of the disease （195 cases）， the acupuncture group of 4-7 days after onset of the disease （171 cases）， and the acupuncture group of 8-10 days after onset of the disease （96 cases）. Propensity score matching was performed using R4.3.3 software， and there were 89 patients in each of the three groups after matching. Modified Rankin Scale （mRS） score， Fugl-Meyer Scale （FMA） score， EuroQoL 5-Dimension 5-Level （EQ-5D-5L） score and the proportion of good functional outcome were observed in the 3 groups of patients before treatment and 6 months after onset. A logistic regression model was constructed to analyse the effect of the timing of acupuncture intervention on the effectiveness of acupuncture treatment for limb motor dysfunction in ischaemic stroke. ResultsCompared with the pre-treatment of this group， mRS and EQ-5D-5L scores decreased and FMA increased in all three groups 6 months after onset （P＜0.01）， and all the indexes of the onset 1-3 days acupuncture group and the onset 4-7 days acupuncture group were better than those of the onset 8-10 days acupuncture group （P＜0.05）. The proportions of good functional outcome in the onset 1-3 days acupuncture group， the onset 4-7 days acupuncture group， and the onset 8-10 days acupuncture group were 76.40%， 80.90%， and 57.30%， respectively， and the proportions of good functional outcome in the onset 1-3 days acupuncture group and the onset 4-7 days acupuncture group were significantly higher than those in the onset 8-10 days acupuncture group （P＜0.05）. Multifactorial logistic analysis showed that compared with the group with 8-10 days of onset， the group with 1-3 days of onset （OR=2.796， 95%CI： 1.340~5.836， P = 0.006）， and the group with 4-7 days of onset （OR=3.482， 95%CI： 1.647~7.362， P = 0.001） increased the likelihood that patients would be nondisabled 6 months after onset. ConclusionThe intervention of cleaning-mind and opening-orifices acupuncture within 1-7 days of onset for patients with acute ischemic stroke can reduce the rate of disability 6 months after onset， improve limb motor function， and enhance the quality of life.

OBJECTIVE Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma residues were used as raw material to compare the difference in the im-pact of different probiotics and composite probiotic on various indicator components through probiotic fermentation,aiming to explore the optimal fermentation process.METHODS The fermentation process was optimized using single factor and Box-Behnken response surface methodology,and the antioxidant capacity of the fermentation product was assessed through in vitro antioxidant experiments.RESULTS The results showed the optimum fermentation processes were 48 h of aerobic fermentation,36 h of anaerobic fermentation,ratio of 2∶3∶1 for Streptococcus thermophilus,Bifidobacterium bifidum and Lactobacillus acidophilus,solid-liquid ratio of 0.14 g·mL-1,inoculation quantity 5%,fermentation temperature 33℃.Under the optimal fermentation conditions,the content of neutral polysaccharide,acidic polysaccharide,and total flavonoid in Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma residue increased by 105.64%,96.98%and 123.83%,respectively,which were high than those single-strain fermentation.The IC50 values of scavenging DPPH and ABTS free radicals in the fermentation products were 1.774 mg·mL-1 and 3.065 mg·mL-1,respectively,and the power of reducing Fe3+was 0.138 mmol FeSO4 g-1.The antioxidant capacity was significantly enhanced compared to the unfermented residues.CON-CLUSION The optimum fermentation process can significantly elevate the content of indicator components in Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma residues and enhance its antioxidant capacity.Compared to single-strain fermentation,the content of various indicator compo-nents is significantly increased,showing no apparent antagonistic effect among the probiotics mentioned above.The study provides sci-entific evidence and data support for the resource utilization of Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma residues.

The concept,connotation and extension,goals and tasks of the discipline of Chinese medicinal materials resource chem-istry have been proposed and developed for 20 years.Looking back at the 20-year construction and development process,continuous exploration and innovative practice have been carried out around the scientific production and effective utilization of traditional Chinese medicinal materials.The theoretical connotation has been further enriched,the research mode has been further improved,and the tech-nical system has been further expanded.A series of research results have been formed and promoted for application,serving the high-quality development of the traditional Chinese medicinal materials industry,and contributing to the improvement of quality,efficiency,and green development of the entire industry chain of Chinese medicinal resources.However,with the rapid growth of Chinese medici-nal materials industry and the continuous expansion and extension of the industry chain,the waste and by-products generated in the production process of Chinese medicinal agriculture and industry are increasing day by day,causing resource waste and environmental pollution,which has become a new major problem facing the development of the industry.This article focuses on the establishment and case analysis of a model for the full industry chain recycling and low-carbon green development of Chinese medicinal materials,as well as the creation of an ecological industry demonstration park for the recycling of Chinese medicinal materials.It showcases the phased a-chievements made in recent years,aiming to provide demonstration and reference for the low-carbon and green transformation of the Chinese medicinal materials industry from a linear economy model to a circular economy model.It provides reference for improving the efficiency of Chinese medicinal materials utilization and creating new quality productivity,and helps promote low-carbon and green de-velopment in the field of Chinese medicinal materials industry.

By reviewing the research history on quality comparison between wild and cultivated Chinese crude drugs， this paper systematically combed the relevant research reports since the 1950s， and summarized and analyzed the results of existing comparative studies， and found that the existing comparative research on the quality of wild and cultivated Chinese crude drugs were mainly focused on several aspects， including characteristics， microstructures， chemical compositions， pharmacodynamic effects， and genetic diversity. Among these， comparative studies of chemical compositions have been the dominant approach， with a particular emphasis on comparing the contents of index components. However， research on pharmacodynamic effects remained relatively limited. Due to various factors such as sample quantity， sample origin， growth period and cultivation methods， the differences in quality between wild and cultivated Chinese crude drugs vary significantly. In general， most wild Chinese crude drugs exhibited higher quality than cultivated products， with significant differences in their characteristics. The contents and proportions of some chemical components underwent noticeable changes， particularly with a marked increase in the proportion of primary metabolites after cultivation. The quality of cultivated Chinese crude drugs is closely related to the cultivation practices employed. Chinese crude drugs produced through wild nurturing， simulated wild planting， ecological cultivation， and other similar methods demonstrate quality levels comparable to those of wild Chinese crude drugs. Based on the analysis results， it is recommended to explicitly specify the cultivation practices and cultivation period of cultivated Chinese crude drugs in comparative studies of the quality between wild and cultivated Chinese crude drugs. Multiple technical approaches， including characteristics， microscopy， non-targeted metabolomics combined with quantitative analysis of differential components， and bioefficacy evaluation， should be employed to comprehensively assess the quality disparities between wild and cultivated Chinese crude drugs. Moreover， research efforts should be intensified to investigate the changes in pharmacodynamic effects resulting from differences in plant cell wall composition， primary metabolites， and secondary metabolites， in order to guide the production of high-quality Chinese crude drugs.
