1.Phosphoglycerate mutase 5 and necroptosis
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2016;32(2):377-380
Necroptosis, or programmed cell death, is a type of cell death with a controllable death signaling pathway and the morphological features similar to necrosis. It is mainly mediated by death receptors or pathogen pattern re-cognition receptors.Among them, tumor necrosis factor receptor 1 (TNFR1)-mediated necroptosis is the most well-studied one.Receptor-interacting protein kinase 1 (RIPK1) and receptor-interacting protein kinase 3 (RIPK3) are the 2 key kina-ses involved in the formation of complex I & II and necrosome in the process of necroptosis.Phosphoglycerate mutase 5 ( PGAM5) , a member of phosphoglycerate mutase gene family, lacks PGAM activity and possesses the phosphatase activi-ty.PGAM5 is anchored in the mitochondrial membrane and is also called mitochondrial phosphoglycerate mutase 5.It has been shown that PGAM5 involves in the formation of necrosome during necroptosis and it is able to accelerate the fission of mitochondria by dephosphorylation of dynamin-related protein 1 (DRP1), thus promoting cell necroptosis.
2. Expression of complement regulatory protein C1-INH and CD46 in nasal mucosa of allergic rhinitis rats
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2006;27(10):1098-1100
Objective: To determine the expression of complement regulatory proteins (CRPs) C1-INH, MCP (CD46) in the nasal mucosa of allergic rhinitis rats and to study the role of CRPs in the pathogenesis of allergic rhinitis. Methods: Nine healthy SD rats were sensitized and intranasally challenged with ovalbumin and Al(OH)3 (as supplement) to establish allergic rhinitis models and another 9 SD rats treated with saline were taken as control. The nasal mucosa in respiratory area of both groups was obtained. Then Western blotting was performed to investigate the expression levels of C1-INH and CD46. Results: Western blotting showed that both C1-INH and CD46 had been detected in rat nasal mucosa. Expression level of CD46 in the nasal mucosa of allergic rhinitis was significantly higher than that in control rats(P<0.01); whereas the level of C1-INH was lower than that in control rats(P<0.05). Conclusion: It is suggested that both C1-INH and CD46 maybe involved in the pathogenesis of rat allergic rhinitis. The regulatory role of CRPs may be related to the classical pathway of complement activation.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1992;0(06):-
Objective To observe the changes of systolic time interval after neonatal asphyxia and explore its relationship with clinical manifestation and prognosis. Methods Tow-dimensional and Doppler echocardiography were employed to detect tow - dimension parameters and left and right ventricular STI in 27 mild and 18 severe asphyxiated neonates as well as 14 normal controls and its relationship with clinical manifestation and prognosis was analyzed. Results There was no difference in cavity and thickness of heart and great arteries between normal and asphyxiated neonates. In acute stage mild and severe asphyxiated neonates had a shorter right ventricular ejection time (RVET) than normal neonates and a longer right ventricular prejection period (RPEP) was found in severe neonates than that in normal and mild asphyxiated neonates. Left ventricular preejection time (LPEP) was prolonged in comparison with normal neonates in acute stage and convalescence. There were more cases with increased RPEP/RVET in severe asphyxiaed group than those in mild and normal group in acute stage. The incidence of heart failure in acute stage and disability in late period was higher in cases with increased RPEP/RVET than that with normal RPEP/RVET. Conclusion Asphyxia has more severe damage to right ventricle than that to left ventricle. Cases with increased RPEP/RVET are prone to suffering from heart failure in acute stage and more likely to undergo disability in late period.

The aim of this study was to comprehensively investigate the correlations between foliar fungal endophyte communities and effective components accumulations in Salvia miltiorrhiza. Foliar samples of S. miltiorrhiza were collected in 5 different areas. Their fungal endophyte communities and effective component contents were determined by denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE) and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), respectively. The results showed that, for characteristics of foliar fungal endophyte communities and effective component contents, there were both similarities and differences among the five samples. Correlation analysis of DGGEs' band and 24 effective components revealed a significant correlations (P < 0.01). For examples, 4 bands (15, 18, 23 and 26) were all significantly correlated with the accumulations of caffeic acid, salvianolic acid B, salvianolic acid C and dihydrotanshinone I.
