AIM:To explore the differences between unilateral recess-resection (R & R) and bilateral lateral rectus recession (BLR-rec) in the treatment of basic intermittent exotropia.METHODS: A retrospective analysis of treatment of basic intermittent exotropia in 89 patients,in which 49 cases underwent unilateral recess-resection,40 cases underwent bilateral lateral rectus recession of external rectus retroperitoneal surgery January 2013 to January 2015 in our hospital.The stereopsis and strabismus were observed in 1d,1,6mo,1 and 2a after operation.RESULTS: There was no significant difference in the success rate and oblique degree between the two groups after 1d,1,6mo,1 and 2a (all P>0.05),but the success rate of the operation was reducing as time passed.After 2d of the operation,the drift of the R & R group was 12.10±5.74PD and the drift of the BLR-rec group was 7.78±4.21PD,the difference was statistically significant (P=0.021).The R & R group was more likely to cause lateral slanting than BLR-rec group.Two groups of patients with nearly stereopsis were both significantly improved,there was no significant difference between the two groups in the two groups (x2=4.530,P=0.210).CONCLUSION: The long-term stability of BLR-rec is superior to R & R.

Objective To study the clinical significance of pulmonary membrane diffusing capacity(Dm) and pulmonary capillary blood volume(Vc) in patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD). Methods Spirometry was performed in 38 patients with stable COPD and 35 healthy individuals in resting condition.The changes of pulmonary parameters were obtained and compared between groups. Objective To explore the association of Gly71Arg mutation in gene of bilirubin uridine 5'-diphosphate-glucuronosyltransferase(UGT1A1)and neonatal jaundice in Beijing city Han population.Methods The genotypes and alleles of the Gly71 Arg polymorphism for UGT1A1 gene were identified by polymerase chain reaction-restricted fragment length polymorphism assay in infants of Beijing city Han population of China,including 96 infants with neonatal jaundice[serum bilirubin(307.06?38.5)?mol/L,indirect bilirubin(292.9?35.9)?mol/L] and 101 healthy control infants [serum bilirubin(131.2?42.1)?mol/L,indirect bilirubin(126.3?39.7)?mol/L].The genotypes and allele frequencies of the polymorphism were compared between infants with neonatal jaundice group and healthy infant group(control group).The effect of polymorphism in infants with neonatal jaundice group on serum bilirubin level were analyzed.Results There were significant differences in genotypes distribution in Gly71Arg polymorphism for UGT1A1 gene between the 2 groups(?2=9.47 P=0.002).Compared with control group,neonatal jaundice group had significantly higher Arg allele frequency in the polymorphism for UGT1A1 gene(?2=10.34 P=0.001).There were independent effects of Gly71Arg mutation in the gene on serum bilirubin level in neonatal jaundice group,at the carriers of homozygote of the Arg allele of Gly71Arg polymorphism had higher serum bilirubin levels compared to carriers of heterozygote of the Arg allele of the polymorphism and non-carriers of the Arg allele of the polymorphism(Pa

Objective To evaluate MRI in the diagnosis of the bone contusion of the knee joint and its clinical significance.Methods Using special coil for knee joint,coronal,sagittal,axial and oblique sagittal plane scanning with fast spin-echo sequence(T_1WI,T_2WI,PDWI+FS)was performed on knee joint in 205 patients in three days after injury.According the distributing bone marrow edema and injury mechanism,bone contusion were classified five types as pivot shift injury,clip injury,dashboard injury, hyperextension injury and lateral patellar dislocation.Results One hundred and forty-five cases of the 205 patients were found bone marrow edema without fracture on X-ray films.Among them,pivot shift injury was found in 43 cases accompanied with anterior cruciate ligament rupture in 30 cases,tear of the posterior horn of the lateral or medial meniscus in 12 and tears of the medial collateral ligament in 8 cases;clip injury in 53 cases accompanied with anterior cruciate ligament rupture in 10 cases,tear of the posterior horn of the lateral or medial meniscus in 15 and tears of the medial collateral ligament in 38 cases;dashboard injury 40 cases accompanied with posterior cruciate ligament rupture in 16 cases,hyperextension injury 9 cases accompanied with anterior cruciate ligament rupture in 2 cases,posterior cruciate ligament rupture in 5 cases.No lateral patellar dislocation was found.Forty-eight of 145 patients had undergone arthroscopy, 43 cases(89.6%)of them were in accordance with MRI diagnosis.Bone contusion were defined as geographic regions of abnormal signal intensity,that is,low signal intensity in T_1-weighted images and high signal intensity in PD-weighted or T_2-weigeted images with fat saturation.Conclusion MRI can accurately display the location and area of bone contusion of the knee joint as well as its adjunctive structure injury and deduce their injury mechanism.MRI should be used routinely for knee trauma.

Objective To establish a PCR sequencing-based typing (PCR-SBT) method for simultaneous genotyping of human platelet antigen HPA-1 to HPA-16w.Methods All DNA polymorphism sites of HPA-1 to HPA-16w were obtained from the immuno polymorphism database.The specific primers were designed using Primer Premier 5.0 software to amplify nucleotide acid fragments encompassing each HPA polymorphism site.The primer sequence and PCR condition were optimized to obtain specific and single amplification product.The PCR product was purified and then sequenced to determine the HPA genotypes.Two standard DNA samples were detected using the HPA PCR-SBT method to examine the accuracy d this method.Sixteen reference samples (including 6 interference samples with HPA gene mutations) provided by 14th platelet immunology workshop of international society of blood transfusion (ISBT) in 2008 were also tested by this home-brew HPA PCR-SBT method.Results Total eleven pairs of primers were designed to amplify and sequence the sixteen HPA systems.The HPA genotypes of two standard samples were 1aa/2aa/3ab/4aa/5ab/6aa/7aa/8aa/9aa/10aa/11aa/12aa/13aa/14aa/15aa/16aa and 1aa/ 2aa/3aa/4aa/5aa/6aa/7aa/8aa/9aa/10aa/11aa/12aa/13aa/14aa/15aa/16aa,respectively.The 256 HPA genotypes of 16 reference samples were clear.128 genotypes among them were completely accordance with the results provided by ISBT report.Conclusions The PCR-SBT assay combining high-throughput DNA sequencer established in the study provides a simple,rapid and accurate method for HPA-1 to HPA-16w systems genotyping.The assay is suitable for routine clinical HPA genotyping and shows a broad prospect in further applications.

The study was purposed to analyze the frequency and distribution of irregular antibodies in Shaoguan area. Screening 15 033 random donor antibodies in Shaoguan area by screening cells, polybrene and antiglobulin tests. The results indicated that the irregular antibodies were found in 42 samples. The frequency of irregular antibodies in female was higher than that in male (P < 0.001), and Rh blood group antibodies such as anti-D, anti-E, and anti-Ec C were common (47.6%). 2 samples of Le antibodies were failed to be found by polybrene test. 2 samples of irregular antibodies with titer 2 were undiscovered by screening test of 10 pooled samples. In conclusion, because of irregular antibodies resulting in hemolytic transfusion reaction, the investigation of frequency and distribution of irregular antibodies is very important for safe transfusion. Antibody screening must be done for female donors, and especially for massive plasma transfusion of patients with severe and dangerous illness and infants so as to ensure safety.

OBJECTIVETo explore the role of Compound Danshen Injection (CDI) in regulating the expression of aquaporin 3 (AQP3) in human amnion epithelium cells (hAECs), and to study the relation between c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) signal pathway and AQP3.

METHODShAECs were isolated and primarily cultured from term pregnancy with normal amniotic fluid volume and from term pregnancy with oligohydramnios, and then hAECs were further divided into four groups, i.e., the blank control group (A), the SP600125 group (B), the CDI group (C), and the SP600125 +CDI group (D). The cell viability was measured by cell counting kit-8 assay (CCK-8). The expression of total JNK, phosphorylated JNK, and AQP3 were determined by Western blot.

RESULTS(1) In hAECs with normal AFV or with oligohydramnios: There was no statistical difference in the cell viability or the expression of total JNK among the 4 groups (P > 0.05). But there was statistical difference in the expression of p-JNK (P < 0.05). Compared with A group, the expression of p-JNK was obviously down-regulated in B group, but obviously up-regulated in C group (P < 0.05). The expression of p-JNK was significantly lower in D group than in C group, but higher than that in A group or B group (P < 0.05).The AQP3 expression in the hAECs with normal amniotic fluid volume of C group and D group were higher than that in the A group (P < 0.05). However, there was no statistical difference in the AQP3 expression between C group and D group (P > 0.05). In hAECs with oligohydramnios, the expression of AQP3 obviously decreased in B group, but up-regulated in C group (both P < 0.05). The expression of AQP3 was lower in D group than in C group, but higher than in B group (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONCDI could regulate the AQP3 expression in hAECs with oligohydramnios via activating the JNK signal pathway.

Objective To observe the effect of inhibition of polo like kinasel (Plk-1) gene expression on 5-Fu and CDDP induced apoptosis of gastric cancer cell line-MKN45 in vitro. Methods The Plk-1 expression was inhibited by chemically synthesized siRNA, the Plk-1 mRNA and protein level were measured by real-time PCR and Western blotting, MKN45 cells proliferation was measured by MTT method, the apoptosis rate was detected by flow-cytometry. Results After treatment by siRNA targeting Plk-1, Plk-1 mRNA level decreased by 51.91% .89.45%.91.03% at 24 h.48 h and 72 h, and Plk-1 protein level decreased by 38.43% and 60.66% at 48 h and 72 h, compared with control group. Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of the treatment with intravenous(Ⅳ)ibandronate com- bined with chemotherapy on patients with skeletal metastases.Method:138 patients with skeletal metastases were randomly divided into ibandronate group combined with chemotherapy(68 cases)and simple chemotherapy group(70 cases).The controlled group took a standard chemotherapy project but combined the treatment group took a chemotherapy project plus ibandronate.In a week after the chemotherapy,68 cases of the treatment group were treated with ibandronate 4mg in NS 500ml by intravenous infusion once 4 weeks for 3 months.The effect was evaluated when the three cycles finished.Result: There was a statistical difference(P

Literatures on pain intervention with transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (TEAS) were collected by searching the databases both in Chinese and English, and summarized to understand the research progress of TEAS effects on pain mediators in recent years. This will provide a more objective and scientific theoretical basis for clinical practice of TEAS to treat pain syndrome, thus promoting the clinical application of TEAS. Our literature analysis indicated that TEAS effectively regulated the release levels of various pain factors such as prostaglandin, 5-hydroxytryptamine, interleukins, substance P and tumor necrosis factor-α to achieve the analgesic effects by affecting the conduction pathways. TEAS is a safe, non-invasive and effective treatment for pain syndrome. However, further research is necessary due to the lack of rigor of the current clinical trial design.
