Objective:To investigate the the retention force changes of 2 kinds of T bar clasps on Cr-Co crowns and the surface ab-rasion of the crowns.Methods:Standard Cr-Co crowns were made,and standard T bar clasps were made of Cr-Co alloy and Vitalli-um2000 with 0.25 mm and 0.5 mm undercut depth respectively.1 800 times repeated placement and removal(fatigue test)were car-ried out on instron testing machine in or without saliva soak condition.The attenuation curves of the maximum retention force was an-alysed.The surface abrasion of the crowns was observed before and after the fatigue test by SEM.Results:The retention force attenu-ation of the clasps in every group was accord with the logarithm attenuation law.SEMexamination showed that in the same condition, there was less surface abrasion in Vitallium2000 group than that in Cr-Co group.Vitallium2000 clasp was superior to Cr-Co clasp in maintaining the retention force.Conclusion:Vitallium2000 T bar clasp may provide better retention force with less furface abrasion on Cr-Co crown than Cr-Co clasp.

Objective To investigate the distribution and antibiotic resistance of Mycoplasma isolates from male genitourinary tract infection for rational use of antibiotics to treat Mycoplasma infections.Methods Isolates were detected using Mycoplasma IES Test Kit supplied by Yeoman Biotech (Zhuhai) Co.Ltd.Results A total of 698 strains (30.5%) of Mycoplasma was de- tected from 2 287 samples, 563 (80.7%) of which were Ureaplasma urealyticum, 26(3.7%)were Mycoplasma hominis. Both U.urea lyticum and M.hominis were identified in 109 (15.6%) specimens.U.urealyticum isolates were most suscepti- ble to josamycin, while all M.hominis isolates were susceptible to doxycyeline and minocycline, but resistant to erythromycin, roxithromycin and clarithromycin.Conclusions The best choice to treat Mycoplasma infections is josamycin, doxycycline and minocycline.The different strains of mycoplasrna may have variable susceptibility to the same kind of antibiotic.Active cul- ture, identification, and susceptibility testing of mycoplasma can provide useful data for rational use of antibiotics.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of Irirotecan(CPT-11) combined with 5-FU/CF in the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer, in which FOLFOX4 or LV5FU2 had failed to cure it. Method: 46 cases of metastatic colorectal cancer patients were treated by CPT-11 combined with 5-FU/CF for one cycle every two weeks; namely, CPT-11 was given by 180mg/m2 iv d1, CF by 200mg/m2 iv d1-2, 5-FU by 400mg iv bolus d1, and 5-FU by 600mg/m2 iv 22h d1-2. Two weeks was a cycle. The study term was 3-6 months. Result:CR was 0, PR was 39. 13% (18/46) , SD was 43.47% (20/46) , PD was 17.39% (8/46) and CBR was 82.69% (38/46). The clinical reaction evaluation efficiency was 78. 86% (36/46). Their life quality was notably improved. Conclusion:CPT-11 combined 5-Fu/CF can be used as second-line treatment for metastatic colotedal cancer.

Objective To translate the English version of Infant Feeding & Nutrition Checklist For Congenital Heart Disease (IFNC:CHD) into Chinese,and to test the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of IFNC:CHD.Methods After obtaining authorization from the developer,the IFNC:CHD was translated and culturally adapted into Chinese version.The reliability and validity of the Chinese version of IFNC:CHD were tested in 168 patients.Results The Cronbach's α coefficient was 0.804.Two nurses used the scale to evaluate the consistency of the results,and the Kappa coefficient was 0.812.The content validity index of item ranged from 0.80 to 1.00,and the average index was 0.90 for the total scale.The correlations coefficients between each dimension score and the total score ranged from 0.339 to 0.474 (P＜0.01),and the correlations coefficients between each dimension score ranged from 0.198 to 0.861(P＜0.01,P＜0.05),Three factors were extracted from exploratory factor analysis,and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 72.66％.Conclusion The Chinese version of IFNC:CHD has been proved to have good reliability and validity.It can be used to assess infant feeding and nutritional risk of congenital heart disease in the Chinese settings.

Objective To explore the effects of 2,3,5,4'-tetrahydroxy stilbene-2-β-D-glycoside(TSG)on the over-expression and aggregation of α-synuclein in vitro.Methods TSG in different concentrations was incubated with α-synuclein transgenic COS-7 cells for 24 h.The cell viability was measured by MTT method.The expression of α-synuclein protein was determined by immunocytochemistry and Western blotting method.Results Incubation of TSG at the range of 12.5～200.0 μmol/L with α-synuclein transgenic COS-7 cells for 24 h did not influence cell viability,but a dose-dependently inhibition for the over-expression of α-synuclein protein could be observed in the tests of immunocytochemistry and Western blotting.Conclusion TSG can inhibit the over-expression of α-synuclein protein in COS-7 cells in vitro.

Objective To study the clinical significance of pulmonary membrane diffusing capacity(Dm) and pulmonary capillary blood volume(Vc) in patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD). Methods Spirometry was performed in 38 patients with stable COPD and 35 healthy individuals in resting condition.The changes of pulmonary parameters were obtained and compared between groups. Results Spirometry test revealed that the percent predicted forced expired volume in one second(FEV1),FEV1/forced volume capacity(FVC)and the percent predicted maximal ventilatory volume(MVV) were declined from stage Ⅰin patients with COPD in comparison with healthy individuals,while diffusing capacity for carbon monoxide of lung(DLCO),carbon monoxide diffusing capacity per liter of alveolar(DLCO/VA),Dm and Vc were declined from stage Ⅱ.Dm in patients with COPD of stageⅠwas sig-nificantly decreased compared with the controls,while Vc was increased compared with the controls(both P

Objective To investigate the prevalence,genotype and epidemiology of plasmid- mediated AmpC enzyme of Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae.Methods A total of 67 clinical isolates of nonrepetitive cefoxitin-resistant Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae collected by Fuzhou General Hospital and Fujian Provincial Hospital during a period of Sept.2004 to Mar.2005 were detected by three-dimensional extract test for AmpC enzyme,and PCR for AmpC enzyme and other ?-lactamase gene amplification and DNA sequencing were carried out for genotype of ?-lactamase.Plasmid transformation experiment was used to study the transfer of cefoxitin resistance.The homology of the isolates was determined by ERIC-PCR fingerprinting.Results At two hospitals in Fuzhou,the prevalence of plasmid-mediated AmpC enzyme among cefoxitin-resistant Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae were 16.7% and 10.5%, 8.0% and 0,respectively.Two isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae produced DHA-1 plasmid-mediated AmpC enzyme,and 4 isolates of Escherichia cob and one strain of Escherichia coli produced CMY-2 and CMY-22 plasmid-mediated AmpC enzyme respectively.Furthermore,5 strains of Escherichia coli with CMY AmpC enzyme were also found simuhaneously to produce TEM-144,CTX-M-27,CTX-M-14 and TEM-1 ?-lactamase respectively.Three strains of Escherichia coli and one isolate of Klebsiella pneumoniae could transfer cefoxitin resistance to acceptant bacillus.ERIC-PCR fingerprinting reveals 2 strains of Klebsiella pneumoniae came from same clone,but 5 strains of Escherichia coli came from different clones.Conclusions The clinical isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae producing DHA-1 plasmid-mediated AmpC enzyme and Escherichia coli producing CMY-2,CMY-22 plasmid-mediated AmpC enzyme are found in Fuzhou.CMY-22 AmpC enzyme and TEM-144 ?-lactamase are the first reported in the world,GenBank accession number: DO256079,DO256080

HPS1-D, an active polysaccharide,was isolated and purified from Hedysarum polybotrys. HPS1-D was obtained after treated with Savage method and H2O2, and purified with DEAE-cellulose 52 and Sephadex G-100 gel filtration chromatography. Then physicochemical property analysis, GC, methylation, partial acid hydrolysis, and NMR method were used to study chemical structural of HPS1-D. The conformation was primarily analyzed with GPC-MALLS method and Congo red reaction. The anti-complementary activity of HPS1-D was evaluated with the hemolysis assay. HPS1-D was a heteropolysaccharide and consisted of D-glucose, L-arabinose, (7.2:1.3). HPS1-D proved to be a neutral sugar, with 1, 4-and 1, 4, 6-alpha-D-glucopyranosyl residues in backbone ,and 1, 5-and 1, 3, 5-alpha-L-arabinofuranosyl residues in branches. HPS1-D has a random coil state conformation with monodisperse mass distribution in 0.9% NaCl solution. And HPS1-D had triple-helix conformation in concentrate of NaOH solution. Anti-complementary activity of HPS1-D was closed to its positive control heparin.

Objective To explore the efficacy of long- and short-acting triptorelin on pituitary down-regulation in long protocol and the pregnancy outcome in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET) . Methods Three hundred and seventeen patients for IVF-ET were enrolled as study and randomized them into two groups. In group A (n=145), patients received single dose subcutaneous injection of 1.25 mg long-acting diphereline in mid-luteal phase. In group B (n=172), patients received 0.1 mg/d subcutaneous injection of short-acting diphereline in mid-luteal phase for 14-18 days until pituitary suppression were got,and then reduced to 0.05 mg/d until the injection of HCG. Results The dose and the days of gonadotropin administration in group A were bigger and longer than those in group B ( <0.05) . There were no significant differences in the number of retrieved oocytes, fertilization rate,high quality embryos,implantation rate and clinical pregnancy rate between the two groups (all > 0.05) . But clinical pregnancy rate of group B had increasing trend. Conclusion Administration of short-acting diphereline has the similar effect with that of long-acting diphereline on pituitary down-regulation in long protocol. Short-acting diphereline requires lower amount of gonadotropin and is more flexible,so it should be recommended.

Objective To set up a quantity determination method of atomic fluorescence spectrometry for detecting four elements in Radix Cynanchi Auriculati, including arsenic (As), hydrargyrum (Hg), cadmium (Cd) and plumbum (Pb). Methods The atomic fluorospectrophotometry was used to determine the contents of As, Hg, Cd and Pb in Radix Cynanchi Auriculati, and the determination method was studied by methodology. Results The results showed that the correlative coefficient of calibration curve was as r>0.999 3, the recovery was 99.4%-102.3% and RSD<5%. The contents of the above four elements in Radix Cynanchi Auriculat accorded with the quantity limitation standard of the Pharmacopeia of the People's Republic of China (edition 2005). Conclusion The method is easy, quick, accurate with a higher sensitivity, which can be used in the quantitative determination of heavy metal elements in Radix Cynanchi Auriculat with a satisfactory result.
