AIM: To investigate the early changes of retinal function in diabetic patients detected by multifocal electroretinogram (mfERG).METHODS: The first-order kernel responses of mfERG were recorded from eyes of 33 normal control subjects,63 diabetic patients without retinopathy and 43 diabetic patients with background retinopathy. The response densities and implicit times of N1 and P1 were compared among the control, diabetic patients without retinopathy and diabetic patients with retinopathy.RESULTS: The response densities of N1 and P1 in central 3 rings were reduced significantly in diabetic eyes with and without retinopathy. And the implicit times of N1 and P1 were delayed significantly only in diabetic eyes with retinopathy.CONCLUSION: mfERG can detect the early changes of retinal function quantitatively in diabetic patients. Analysis of response densities and implicit times of N1 and P1 can reflect the progress of local retinal dysfunction in diabetes.

Objective To analyze current situation and problems of health manager training in the pilot training areas. Method With the recommendations of health administration deputies in the plot areas of Shanghai, Chongqing and Urumqi, 2 centers for community health services (CHSs) were selected in each area, 9 relative persons were interviewed, 3 focus group discussions (FGDs) involved 18 persons were held totally. The FGDs focused on such questions as“the general information of the training students”“the objectives and purposes of the training in each area”, and so on. Field investigation and qualitative analysis were used to investigate the status quo and main problems of the training of health manager in the pilot areas. Result The problems of the training of health manager existing in the pilot areas mainly are:part of teachers were not fully competent to the training of health manager, training of operant skill was insufficient, training course was not unified, the assessment mechanism was not perfect. Conclusion Optimizing the construction of teachers team, standardizing the training content, increasing the time of operating skills training, establishing a unified and standardized assessment mechanism are essential.

Objective This paper summarize peri-operative nursing of minimally invasive surgery on osteoradionecrosis of skull base after radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Methods 47 cases of osteoradionecrosis of skull base after radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma were operated via nasal endoscope from March 2006 to March 2013.Focused peri-operative psychological support and adequate medical care were given to patients.Strengthened nasal nasopharyngeal cavity nursing, the observation and nursing of complications were carried out after operation and health guidance pre-discharge was given. Results The operations of 47 cases were successful and no major complication of intra-operation and post-operation occurred.Headache and foul odor relieved after operation. The follow-up continued for 3 to 84 months,46 cases were survived,1 case died of nasopharyngeal massive bleeding. Conclusions Effective peri-operative nursing of minimally invasive surgery on osteoradionecrosis of skull base after radiotherapy could ensure patients' cooperation and the smooth implementation of surgery and improve the quality of life.

ObjectiveTo compare the safety and efficacy of combined thrombolysis and systemic anticoagulation therapy for the treatment of cerebral venous and sinus thrombosis (CVST).MethodsA retrospective review of consecutive inpatients with CVST was undertaken. Patients were divided into two groups, combined thrombolysis group (CTG) and systemic anticoagulation group (SAG).CTG underwent improved thrombolysis scheme which included mechanical thrombus maceration and unremitting microdosis urokinase injection into the venous sinus besides low molecular weight heparin anticoagulation.Neurological deficits before and after treatment were graded with the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).Functional outcomes at discharge were graded on the modified Rankin Scale (mRS).ResultsThere were 30 cases in CTG ( male =9) and 86 cases in SAG ( male =23 ).There was no significant difference of neurological deficits before treatment between two groups(0-19 vs 0-17,Z =-0.474,P =0.636).After treatment,NIHSS and mRS at discharge were significantly decreased in CTG compared to SAG.There was no significant difference on the incidence of intracerebral hemorrhage. Conclusions Combined thrombolysis is better than systemic anticoagulation in improving neurological function.Combined thrombolysis does not increase incidence of ICH compared to systemic anticoagulation.

A resonance light scattering(RLS) method for the determination of critical micelle concentration(CMC) of sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate(SDBS) was proposed. Under room temperature, the RLS intensity of the SDBS system increased with increasing SDBS concentration. And when the concentration of SDBS approached CMC, the RLS intensity had increased sharply. The RLS peaks were appeared at 330 nm and 396 nm, respectively. The plot of the RLS intensity at 396 nm versus SDBS concentration was S-Curve. The concentration of SDBS at the intersection point of two tangents to S-curve was considered as SBDS CMC. This result was consistent with the results of the pyrene probe fluorescence spectrometry and electrical conductivity method. The influences of the concentration of Ca2+ on the aggregation behave of SDBS and SDBS-emulsion OP(OP) systems were studied by the RLS method. The results indicated that the mixed

Objective: To identify Persicae Semen and its sibling species, and to secure the quality and clinical safety of this medicinal material. Methods: The internal transcribed spacer 2 (ITS2) of nuclear ribosomal DNA of Persicae Semen and its sibling species were amplified and bidirectionally sequenced by DNA barcoding. Sequence assembly and consensus sequence generation were performed by the CodonCode Aligner 4.1. The genetic distances were computed by MEGA 5.0 in accordance with the Kimura 2-parameter (K2P) model, and the phylogenetic tree constructed by the neighbor-joining (NJ) method. Results: The length of ITS2 sequences of the two origin plants of Persicae Semen was between 212 bp to 213 bp. Their intraspecific genetic distance was much lower than the interspecific genetic distance with their sibling species. The ITS2 sequence possessed the character of good stability and low intra-specific sequence variation. In the NJ tree, both Prunus persica and P. davidiana were clustered into one large branch, and clearly separated with their sibling species. Conclusion: ITS2 can be used to effectively distinguish Persicae Semen from its sibling species, which can provide a reference for the iden-tification of other Chinese medicine and its sibling species.

With the application of monoclonal antibody technology more and more widely, its production technology is becoming more and more perfect. Small molecule monoclonal antibody technology is becoming a hot research topic for people. The application of traditional Chinese medicine small molecule monoclonal antibody technology has been more and more widely, the technology for effective Chinese medicine component knockout provide strong technical support. The preparation of monoclonal antibodies and small molecule knockout technology are reviewed in this paper. The preparation of several steps, such as: in the process of preparation of antigen, hapten carrier coupling, coupling ratio determination and identification of artificial antigen and establishment of animal immunization and hybridoma cell lines of monoclonal antibody, the large-scale preparation; small molecule monoclonal antibody on Immune in affinity chromatography column method is discussed in detail. The author believes that this technology will make the traditional Chinese medicine research on a higher level, and improve the level of internationalization of Chinese medicine research.
