Objective To conduct a single-center retrospective analysis on the distribution characteristics and prevalence of idiopathic membranous nephropathy (IMN) patients diagnosed with pathology for the past 16 years,to investigate diagnostic and differential diagnostic value of serum antiphospholipase A2 receptor antibodies (PLA2R-Ab),and to evaluate the correlation between PLA2R-Ab and clinical disease activity.Methods (1) 6996 biopsy-proven primary glomerular nephropathy (PGN) patients,including 1567 IMN cases,admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University from January 2000 to December 2015 were involved.Demographics and pathological type were gathered from all patients.(2) 433 cases receiving renal biopsy and testing PLA2R-Ab from June 2015 to December 2015 were involved,with their clinical and laboratorial data being collected.During the period patients' follow-up time,therapeutic schedule and laboratory results were recorded.Results (1) IMN accounted for 22.4％ of primary glomerular disease,and patients above 40 years old accounted for more than 60％ of the IMN.(2) The sensitivity and specificity of serological PLA2R-Ab were 58.1％(95％CI 47.0％-68.5％) and 98.6％(95％CI 95.6％-99.6％) respectively.PLA2R-Ab positive rate was affected by immunosuppression therapy.(3) The PLA2R-Ab titers wasn't correlated with 24-hour urinary protein (r=-0.017,P=0.887),serum albumin (r=-0.072,P=0.549) and urinary red blood cell count (r=-0.030,P=0.802).There was no difference between PLA2R-Ab positive positive and PLA2R-Ab negative on proportion of IMN pathological stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ (P ＞ 0.05).Thirteen cases of patients with PLA2R-Ab positive were all prescribed glucocorticoid combined with immunosuppressant.After (2.21± 1.09) months,the decrease of PLA2R-Ab titers was in accordance with 24-hour urinary protein quantity descending and serum albumin ascending (P ＜ 0.05).Condusions The incidence of IMN increase year by year,especially in the mid-aged and the elderly.Serum PLA2R-Ab correlates not with IMN pathological stage,but with the development of IMN.Monitoring PLA2R-Ab titers individually may access the efficiency of treatment.

Objective To study the role of glucocorticoid (GC) in treating patients with cyto- megalovirus (CMV) pneumonia following renal transplantation.Methods There were 75 cases CMV pneumonia following renal transplantation during one month (3 cases),2-6 months (64 cases) and more than 6 months (8 cases).All patients were subjected to the comprehensive treatments including anti-virus therapy.In 47 cases,GC was given (GC group),and in the rest 28 cases,GC was not administered (non-GC group).Results In GC group,40 cases (85.1%) were cured and there were 7 deaths (14.9%).In non-GC group,17 cases (60.7%) were cured and there were 11 deaths (39.3%).There was significant difference between two groups (P

In this study, an approach based on triple-color fluorescence probes was developed for screening potential nephro-protective bioactive substances. Three fluorescent probes (i. e. FDA, MTR and Hoechst 33342) were used to label HK-2 cells injured by doxorubicin hydrochloride, and cellular fluorescence images were subsequently acquired and analyzed by a cellular-fluorescence image microscopy platform. The established method was applied to screening 53 components of Carthami Flos, and three components C17, C18 and C19 were found to exhibit nephroprotective effects against doxorubicin hydrochloride induced injury on HK-2 cells. Eight compounds (i. e. hydroxysafflor yellow A, 6-hydroxykaempferol-3-O-rutinoside-6-O-glucoside, 6-hydroxykaempferol-3,6-di-O-gluco-side or 6-hydroxykaempferol-6, 7-di-O-glucoside, 6-hydroxykaempferol-3-O-rutinoside, 6-hydroxykaempferol-3-O-glucoside or 6-hydroxykaempferol-7-O-glucoside, rutin, isoquercetin, and kaempferol-3-O-rutinoside) in components C17, C18 and C19 were preliminarily identified by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS). Isoquercetin, rutin, kaempferol-3-O-rutinoside, and hydroxysafflor yellow A were confirmed by comparing with reference substances, Further study indicated that these four compounds had moderate nephroprotective effects, while isoquercetin showed a significant nephroprotective effect in a dose-dependent manner. These results suggest that isoquercetin, rutin, kaempferol-3-O-rutinoside and hydroxysafflor yellow A might be the nephroprotective bioactive substances in Carthami Flos.

OBJECTIVETo compare the difference in clinical efficacy on polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) between electroacupuncture (EA) and dyne-35 and to explore the effect mechanism.

METHODSSixty-five patients were randomized into an EA group (33 cases) and a western medication group (32 cases). In the EA group, the selected acupoints were Danzhong (CV 17), Qimen (LR 14), Zhongwan (CV 12), Tianshu (ST 25), Guanyuan (CV 4), Zigong (EX-CA 1), Sanyinjiao (SP 6), Zusanli (ST 36) and Taichong (LR 3), etc. After the arrival of qi, electric stimulation was attached to the acupoints for 30 min. The treatment was given 3 times a week. In the western medication group, dyne-35 was prescribed on the 5th day of natural menstruation or withdrawal bleeding, one tablet a day, continuously for 21 days. The treatment cycle was 3 months in the two groups. The menstrual condition, body mass, body mass index (BMI), serum testosterone (T), luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and LH/FSH were compared before and after treatment in the two groups. The clinical efficacy was assessed in the two groups.

RESULTSThe total effective rate was 90.6% (29/32) in the EA group and was 93.3% (28/30) in the western medication group. The efficacy was similar in the two groups (P > 0.05). After treatment, the levels of LH and LH/FSH were all reduced significantly in the two groups (all P < 0.01). After treatment, T level in serum was reduced apparently in the western medication group (P < 0.05). Before and after treatment, the differences in body mass and BMI in the EA group were more significant than those in the western medication group (P < 0.01, P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONEA is the effective method for PCOS, similar to that of dyne-35. The effect of it for weight loss is superior to dyne-35 and no apparent adverse reactions happen. The effect mechanism of EA is related to the regulation of serum sexual hormone levels and their ratio, as well as to the regulation of body lipid metabolism.

In this paper, three spoilage organisms were separated from five transmutative soy milks, and all the three spoilage bacteria could survive condition of both 1?105Pa,30min and 300mg/kg Nisin. Morpha character, physiological and biochemical characteristics, and a phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rDNA gene sequences reveal that these three strains are Bacillus licheniformis, Bacillus pumilus and Brevibacillus borstelensis respectively. Objective To design an atlantoaxial lateral mass fusion cage and evaluate its biomechanical stability when it is combined with atlantoaxial vertebral pedicle screw fixation.Methods Forty-six sets of CT 3D reconstruction pieces of the normal atlantoaxial junction were chosen to measure sagittal diameter and transverse diameter of atlantoaxial lateral mass joint,sagittal diameter and transverse diameter of epistropheus lateral mass and space height of atlantoaxial lateral mass joint.An atlantoaxial lateral mass fusion cage was designed on this basis.Six fresh human cadaveric cervical spines (C0-C4) were used as samples to measure 3D motion range of C1,and 2 segments under 1.5 N · m load.3D motion range of samples under the following situations was measured at random:intact state,unstable state (ligament around odontoid process was cut off),fixation with atlantoaxial joint screw+Gallie steel wire,atlantoaxial pedicle screw,atlantoaxial lateral mass joint fusion cage+atlantoaxial vertebral pedicle screw.Results Corresponding width/length of fusion cage is 8/11,9/12,10/13 mm,respectively,and the height is designed to 3.5,4.0,and 4.5 mm,respectively.The motion range of three internal fixation methods is less than that under intact state and unstable state.The difference has statistical significance.The C1+C2+cage fixation produces the least motion range in lateral bending and axial rotation directions and generates the highest motion range in flexion/extension direction.But,the difference has no statistical significance.Conclusion The C1+C2+cage internal fixation technique has similar stability with common atlantoaxial intemal fixation method and can provide extra atlantoaxial fusion spots.Thus,it may be a feasible alternative for atlantoaxial fusion when the posterior arch of the atlas is absent.

A method of comprehensive chemical pattern recognition of Atractylodis Rhizoma was established by GC-MS fingerprint, principal component analysis, cluster analysis and discriminant analysis. A DB-wax column (0.25 mm x 60 m, 0.25 microm) with El ion source and 70 V electron multiplier were used for GC-MS analysis. Using principal component analysis, cluster analysis, and discriminant analysis, 15 common peaks of sample fingerprints for chemical pattern recognition research were analysed. The same results were obtained from the fingerprint, principal component analysis and cluster analysis, which could use to distinguish genuine Atractylodes lancea, ungenuine A. lancea and A. chinensis. Thus, this method could be used for the quality control and comprehensive evaluation of Atractylodis Rhizoma.

OBJECTIVETo analyze ginsenosides composition in wild ginseng leaves with different growth years.

METHODThe analysis was performed on Acquity UPLC BEH Shield RP18 (2.1 mm x 100 mm, 1.7 microm) column, the mobile phase was acetonitrile-0.05% formic acid solution in gradient elution mode. The detection wavelength was at 203 nm. The flow rate was 0.4 mL x min(-1) and column temperature was set at 30 degrees C.

RESULTThirteen ginsenosides were determined by the established UPLC method. In 5-17th growth year ginseng leaf samples cultivated simulating wild conditions, the contents of ginsenosides in the 14th year have the highest content.

CONCLUSIONThe established method is simple, accurate and reliable, can be used in ginsenosides determination and fingerprint research of Panax crude drug. The result provides reliable data for the accumulation of ginsenosides and sustainable utilization of ginseng resources.
