Visual perceptual learning refers to the special improvement of perceptual performance benefit from repetitive training with a visual task.A typical time course of visual perceptual learning presents an initial rapid improvement, and then gradually processes like an asymptote in gain.During the process of perceptual learning, the influence of critical amount and perceptual learning rules on learning effect, memory consolidation and interference, and the role of sleep on preventing interference and promoting consolidation in perceptual learning, all get involved. This article reviewed the aforesaid content and then elaborated some strategies in application of visual perceptual learning in the treatment of amblyopia.

Objective To explore the efficacy of tepronone and folic acid in the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) evaluated by the marking targeting biopsy (MTB).Methods A total of 224 H.pylori negative CAG patients were selected and divided into group A (n 96,tepronone 50 mg/time,folic acid 10 mg/time,three times/day),group B (n=23,tepronone 50 mg/time,three times/day),group C (n=74,unspecific treatment) and group D (n=31,no treatment). The treatment course lasted for one year. The clinical symptoms improvement of each group was observed before and after treatment. The pathological improvement of gastric mucosa by MTB was inspected before and after treatment. The chi square test was performed for the comparison between groups. Results The total efficacy rates of group A,B,C and D were 43.8% (42/96),39.1% (9/23),33.8%(25/74) and 32.3% (10/31) respectively, there was no significant difference between groups (x2 =2.328,P =0.507).For the significant efficacy rate of gastric mucosa pathological improvement, group A was compared with group D,group A was compared with group C and group B was comparedwith group D,the differences were significant (x2 =14.520,14.628 and 8.995,all P<0.01).In the total efficacy rate of gastric mucosa pathological improvement, group A (49.8%,131/263) was compared with group D (24.2%,16/66),group A was compared with group C (35.9%,66/184)and group B (44.7%,21/47) was compared with group D,the differences were significant (x2 =13.953,8.535 and 5.207,all P<0.05).Conclusion Teprenone alone or teprenone and folic acid combination can obviously improve pathological changes of CAG patients.

Objective To investigate the correlation between depression, anxiety and sleep disturbance. Methods 93 patients with the main complaint of insomnia were selected and performed a retrospective study. Results Four factors including anxiety factors, manifest anxiety, subjective depression and dominant depression of the insomnia patients were significantly higher than normal people, while the Ego Strength scores are significantly lower than the normal people. Conclusion When confronting patients with sleep disturbance, doctors must pay attention to identifying any psychological disorders including depression and anxiety in the patients, and psychological support should also be strengthened to such patients.

Objective To explore the association of Gly71Arg mutation in gene of bilirubin uridine 5'-diphosphate-glucuronosyltransferase(UGT1A1)and neonatal jaundice in Beijing city Han population. Methods The genotypes and alleles of the Gly71 Arg polymorphism for UGT1A1 gene were identified by polymerase chain reaction-restricted fragment length polymorphism assay in infants of Beijing city Han population of China, including 96 infants with neonatal jaundice[serum bilirubin(307.06?38.5)?mol/L,indirect bilirubin(292.9?35.9)?mol/L] and 101 healthy control infants [serum bilirubin(131.2?42.1)?mol/L,indirect bilirubin(126.3?39.7)?mol/L].The genotypes and allele frequencies of the polymorphism were compared between infants with neonatal jaundice group and healthy infant group(control group). The effect of polymorphism in infants with neonatal jaundice group on serum bilirubin level were analyzed. Results There were significant differences in genotypes distribution in Gly71Arg polymorphism for UGT1A1 gene between the 2 groups(?2=9.47 P=0.002).Compared with control group, neonatal jaundice group had significantly higher Arg allele frequency in the polymorphism for UGT1A1 gene(?2=10.34 P=0.001).There were independent effects of Gly71Arg mutation in the gene on serum bilirubin level in neonatal jaundice group,at the carriers of homozygote of the Arg allele of Gly71Arg polymorphism had higher serum bilirubin levels compared to carriers of heterozygote of the Arg allele of the polymorphism and non-carriers of the Arg allele of the polymorphism(Pa
