Objective To observe the effect of radiofrequency thermocoagulation on patients with refractory supraorbital neuralgia Methods From February, 2007 to September, 2014, 36 patients with refractory supraorbital neuralgia following ineffective conservative ther-apy including medicine and nerve blockade underwent radiofrequency thermocoagulation. Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), Patient Satisfaction Scale (PSS), onset time, effective rate, recurrence rate, additional carbamazepine dosage and side effects were recorded before, and one day, one month, three months, six months, one year, two years after treatment. NRS=0 or 50%diminution was considered effectively. Results It worked two days on average (zero to seven) after treatment. The NRS score decreased (P<0.05) and the PSS score increased (P<0.05) com-pared with the data before treatment. The effective rate was 100%within six months. The recurrence rate was 11.1%within two years. Sec-ond radiofrequency thermocoagulation treatment still worked for the recurrent patients. No other side effect was observed, except permanent frontal numbness, short-time palpebral edema and ecchymosis. Conclusion Radiofrequency thermocoagulation is effective on refractory su-praorbital neuralgia, and the side effects are tolerable so it is an alternative choice for patients experiencing invalid conservative therapy.

Objective To observe the effect of pulsed radiofrequency (PRF) on refractory infraorbital neuralgia. Methods From January, 2012 to December, 2014, 49 patients who received ineffective conservative therapy including medicine and nerve blockade underwent PRF treatment. Postoperative Numeric Rating Scale (NRS)=0 or 50%diminution of NRS was considered effective. NRS, effective rate, addition-al carbamazepine dosage and side effects were recorded on the first day, the first week, the second week, the first month, the third month, the sixth month, the first year, and the second year after operation. Results The effective rate were 67%, 67%, 65%, 59%and 51%on the first month, the third month, the sixth month, the first year, and the second year after operation, respectively. No serious side effect was observed, except that eight patients felt short-term (within one month) mild numbness. Conclusion PRF technique is safe and effective for refractory infraorbital neuralgia, and may become an alternative therapy.

Objective:To identify the function of extracellular soluble vimentin that promotes proliferation, activation and chemotaxis of inflammatory cells. Methods: The proliferation of rat splenocytes stimulated with vimentin was evaluated in vitro. The lymphocyte counts and vimentin-antibody levels of peripheral blood in mice immunized with vimentin were detected in vivo. Peritoneal macrophages were collected and cultured with different concentrations of vimentin to detect the effect on phagocytosing chicken red blood cells. The chemotaxis of NIH3T3 fibroblast towards vimentin was observed in transwell chamber. Results:In vitro vimentin dose dependently promoted the proliferation of splenocytes. The proliferation indexes of primed and naive splenocytes cultured with 16μg/ml vimentin were reached up to ( 196. 0 ± 9. 7 )% and ( 208. 9 ± 4. 6 )% respectively without significant difference. In vivo vimentin significantly enhanced the lymphocytes number(109 L-1)of peripheral blood(5. 74±0. 51 vs. 1. 69±0. 13)and the levels of vimentin specific antibody( OD value 2. 31 ± 0. 06 vs. 0. 19 ± 0. 08 ) that shown no significant difference from immunization with vimentin plus CFA. In vitro vimentin dose dependently stimulated phagocytic ability of macrophages and performed the chemotactic effects on NIH3T3 fibroblasts. Conclusion:Extracellular soluble vimentin promotes the proliferation,activation and chemotaxis of concerned inflammatory cells and possesses the functions as an alarmin.

Juvenile idiopathic arthritis(JIA)is the most common rheumatology disease in childhood period with poor prognosis.The biological agents are newly developed drugs with features of clear therapeutic targets and fast effects.But its use in JIA is still limited,so this article focuses on the clinical use experience,timming and sideffects of the biological agents on JIA.

Objective To observe and comparatively analysize the effect of intraperitoneal injection of hydrogen and hydrogen-rich saline in neonatal rats with hyperoxia-induced lung injury.Methods Sprague-Dawley(SD) newborn rats were randomly divided into six groups(n=10).air group(A),air+ hydrogen-rich saline group(B),air+hydrogen group(C),hyperoxia group(D),hyperoxia+hydrogen-rich saline group (E) and hyperoxia+ hydrogen group(F).The group A,B and C were exposed to air and group D,E and F were exposed to 95 ％ oxygen.The group B and E were intraperitoneally injected with hydrogen-rich saline (10 mL/kg,twice daily),while the groups C and F with hydrogen (10 mL/kg,twice daily).The group A and D were injected with normal saline(10 mL/kg,twice daily).Lung tissue and serum samples were collected on 15 d of experiment.The pathological changes of lung tissue and radiate alveoli count (RAC) were observed by HE staining.The content of HYP in lung tissue was detected by the alkaline hydrolysis method,serum SOD and MDA levels were measured.The expression of α-SMA in lung tissue was detected by immunohistochemistry SP method.Results Compared with the A group,RAC and SOD activities in the D group were significantly decreased,while the HYP and MDA levels and α-SMA expression were significantly increased.Hydrogen intervention could significantly alleviate these changes caused by hyperoxia.while intraperitoneal injection of hydrogen got better effect than intraperitoneal injection of hydrogen-rich saline.Conclusion Hydrogen can extenuate the indexes of hyperoxia-induced lung oxidative damage,impairment development and fibrosis to a certain extent.Intraperitoneal injection of hydrogen has slightly better effect than hydrogen-rich saline.

The modern literatures on the diseases treated with acupuncture at Shenmen (HT 7) were collected. Using literature statistical analysis in bibliometrics, the common compatibility of Shenmen (HT 7) and the disease spectrum were analyzed so as to provide the references of the diseases that can be treated with acupuncture at Shenmen (HT 7). It was found that 39 kinds of diseases and symptoms, mainly nerve system disedses, could be treated with acupuncture at Shenmen (HT 7), including insomnia, depression, anxiety and dementia. Shenmen (HT 7) was seldom used alone. Instead, it was commonly used along with Baihui (GV 20), Sanyinjiao (SP 6), Neiguan (PC 6), Sishencong (EX-HN 1) and Taicong (LR 3).
