Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2010;29(11):1333-1336
Objective: To investigate the expression of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) subunits P50 and c-Rel protein in primary cortical neurons of Wistar rats at different time points of oxygen glucose deprivation/ reoxygenation(OGD/R). Methods: The neurons dissociated from the cortex of the neonatal rats were primary cultured and were identified by immunocytochemistry. OGD/R model was established. The study was divided into 6 groups according to different processing methods, including normal group,OGD 4 h treated,OGD 4 h/R 2 h treated,OGD 4 h/R 6 h treated,OGD 4 h/R 12 h treated and OGD 4 h/R 24 h treated groups. The expression of NF-κB P50 and c-Rel protein in neurons was examined by immunocytochemistry method and Western blotting. Results: (1) Immunocytochemistry detection targeting neuron specific enolase (NSE) and beta-III tubulin confirmed that the cultured cells were neurons. (2) The expression of NF-κB P50 protein was significantly higher in OGD 4 h group than in control group(P<0.05); the expression continued to increase in OGD 4 h/R 2 h andOGD 4 h/R 6 h groups, and reached its peak 6 h after reoxygenation (P<0.01),then began to decrease, but the expression in OGD 4 h/R 12 h group was significantly different from that of the control group (P<0.05); there was no significant difference between OGD 4 h/R 24 h group and control group. (3) The expression of NF-κB c-Rel protein was similar between OGD 4 h group and the control group; the expression increased in OGD 4 h/R 2 h and OGD 4 h/R 12 h groups and reached its peak 12 h after reoxygenation(P<0.01),and did not recover to the normal level in OGD 4 h/ R 24 h group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Oxygen glucose deprivation/reoxygenation can activate NF-κB subunits P50 and c-Rel in the primary cortical neurons in rats in a time-associated manner.

Chinese Journal of Endemiology 2021;40(3):205-210
Objective:To understand the epidemic situation of drinking-water-borne endemic fluorosis in Fujian Province, and to provide more information for control and evaluation of the disease. Methods:In 2019, all villages in the 36 drinking-water-borne endemic fluorosis areas in Fujian Province were selected, in which the situation of water improvement was investigated, fluorine content of drinking water was tested and dental fluorosis of all the children aged 8 to 12 was examined. The urinary fluoride content and skeletal fluorosis of people over 25-year old was investigated in some of those villages. Results:A total of 153 disease affected villages were investigated, in which the water improvement projects were all completed. The fluoride content in each tap water sample of the water improvement project ranged from 0.00 to 1.05 mg/L, and the qualified rate was 100.00% (153/153). The normal operation rate of the water improvement projects was 95.42% (146/153). The detection rate of dental fluorosis in children aged 8 to 12 was 2.72% (76/2 789) with a dental fluorosis index 0.07. The detection rate of children's dental fluorosis was statistically different in different age groups, so was it in areas with different coverage rate of water improvement projects ( P < 0.05). The geometric mean of urinary fluorine level in adults was 0.80 mg/L ( n = 3 765), and the detection rate of skeletal fluorosis was 2.00% (6/300). Conclusion:Although some achievements have been made in the prevention and control of drinking-water-borne endemic fluorosis in Fujian Province, it is still necessary to further consolidate and enhance the water improvement projects.

Objective To study CT findings, diagnosis and differential diagnosis for prostate cancer. Methods 28 cases with prostate cancer confirmed by surgery and pathology, of them 4 cases were recurrence after operation. Results In 24 cases confirmed by surgery 21 (87.5%) were diagnosed by CT. Their CT appearances were : (1) Focus: in non enhanced scanning the prostate was enlarged unevenly in 18 cases. The density of the mass was slightly lower than the normal prostate in 17 cases, and equal to normal in 11 cases. Patchy calcification was seen in 2 cases moderate. In enhanced scanning, 22 cases showed nodular enhancement but slightly less than normal, 6 cases were equal to normal. (2) Metastastic lesions: 8 cases had local thickened bladder wall, 4 cases had enlarged seminal vesicle with unneven density, 2 cases with thickened anterior wall of rectum. And pelvis mass, enlarged lymph nodes, bony destruction of pelvis and pulmonary metastasses 1 case for each respectively. Conclusion (1) It is emphasized enhanced CT study should be a routine examination in the diagnosis of prostate cancer by CT; (2)CT can define the extent of the lesion and metastases thereby helpful to predict the prognosis and evaluate the effect of treatment.
