Objective To observe the effect of mirror therapy and sensory reeducation on sensory function recovery after thumb recon-struction with second toe transplantation. Methods Forty patients after thumb reconstruction with second toe transplantation from January, 2011 to January, 2014 were divided into control group (n=20) and training group (n=20). Both groups accepted routine nursing and rehabili-tation, while the training group accepted mirror therapy and sensory reeducation training in addition. They were followed up for six to eigh-teen months after operation (average 9.3 months) with the two-point discrimination (2-PD) of transplanted toe pulp. Results 2-PD was (7.15±1.15) mm in the training group, very shorter than (10.23±2.23) mm of the control group (t=5.4898, P<0.001). Conclusion The mirror therapy combined with sensory reeducation training can improve the sensory function of the finger pulp that transplanted from the second toe.

Objective To explore the clinical nursing methods for the treatment of the skin degloving injury in foot by the combination of free femoral anterolateral skin flap transplantation and vacuum sealing drainage (VSD) technique. Methods From January 2010 to January 2014, 18 cases of the skin degloving injury in foot were treated by debridement and implant skin, negative pressure drainage and irrigation at first period, then the operation to repair the foot wound by transplant femoral anterolateral skin flap were done at second period. Nurses applied the key technology of VSD into postoperative nursing. Nurses should master the observation method and characteristics for the flow of blood to the flap skin, the method for foot position nursing, afford effective analgesic care, and flap local high flow oxygen therapy, improve the local tissue oxygen partial pressure and introduce the foot early functional exercise during postoperative. Results Eighteen cases flaps all survived. Clients were followed-up for 6 to 12 months, the discovery showed that all of the clients had good flap blood supply, the skin was soft and elastic, and the function of foot were recovered well. Conclusions The combination of of free femoral anterolateral skin flap transplantation and VSD technique apply into foot degloving injury repairation postoperative care,by application of high quality nursing, it really can improve the success rate of surgery and reduce the pain for clients.

Objective To discuss the influence of psychological nursing on the therapeutic effect of patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes. Methods Patients (60 cases) who received psychological nursing were set as the nursing group. Patients (65 cases) who did not received psychological nursing were set as the control group. The number of patients who received early insulin treatment and whose fasting plasma glucose return to normal value on the 7th and 30th days after treatment was observed. Results The number of patients who received early insulin treatment and whose fasting plasma glucose return to normal value on the 7th and 30th days after treatment in the nursing group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.01). Conclusions Psychological nursing of patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes could make patients obey doctors' advice and accept early insulin treatment to control plasma glucose and delete the toxicity of high concentration of plasma glucose as soon as possible.

OBJECTIVEThis study aimed to investigate the effects of hirudin on the expression of transforming growth factor (TGF-β1) and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) in human gingival fibroblasts (HGFs) in vitro, as well to explore its func- tion in the mechanism of gingival remodeling.
METHODSAfter culturing was performed with classic tissue-explant method, HGFs were derived from normal gingival and gingival hyperplasia tissues followed by orthodontic treatments with different concentrations of hirudin. The mRNA and protein expression levels of TGF-β1 and bFGF were respectively detected by real time quantity polymerase chain reaction and immunocytochemistry.
RESULTSCompared with normal HGFs, TGF-β1 expression promoted collagen synthesis of fibroblasts, whereas bFGF collagen synthesis was decreased in hyperplasia HGFs without hirudin (P < 0.05). Hirudin significantly upregulated the expression levels of bFGF but downregulated TGF-β1 in hyperplasia HGFs (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONOrthodontic force may influence the balance of collagen synthesis and degradation in HGFs. Hirudin may modulate the balance of HGF collagen metabolism, thereby promoting gingival remodeling.

Objective To study the degradation of hepatitis C virus(HCV) genome before and after methylene blue photochemistry(MB-P) treatment of the plasma. Methods MB was added to HCV positive plasma to a final concentration of 1.0?mol/L.The plasma was then exposed to 30000 Lux fluorescence.Plasma samples were then collected at different times of exposure.Real-time PCR was used to quantitatively study the course of the HCV-RNA degradation. The whole genome was screened for integrity by RT-PCR with 8 pairs of specific primers which targeted sequential overlapping sections of HCV genome. Results Results of real-time PCR showed that the copy number of HCV-RNA was continuously decreasing during MB-P treatment.RT-PCR results showed that the reactivity of different sections of the HCV genome to MB-P was significantly different and indicated that the 5' end and 3' end were more stable. Conclusion MB-P treatment could degrade HCV RNA with various sensitivities to different sections of the genome.RNA degradation may play an important role in plasma virus inactivation.Detection of HCV genomic RNA might be clinically useful to monitor the process and efficiency of virus inactivation.

AIM To find a new method for purifying the active compound 5F isolated from Pteris semipinnata L.(PsL ) and observe its enhanced cytotoxicity when combined with other antitumor agents. METHODS Silica gel combined with AgNO 3 was made to purify 5F. Cytotoxicity was detected with trypan blue dye exclusion assay. RESULTS After purification, the concentration of compound 5F in purified products was higher than 99%. The inhibitory rates of 5F combined with 5 Fu or CDDP or VCR were higher than that of these drugs used alone. CONCLUSIONS Compound 5F could be purified effectively using silica gel combined with AgNO 3. 5F could enhance the cytotoxicity on HL 60 and K562 cells of the drugs mentioned above. The different effect of these agents on the various phases of cell cycle kinetics may explain the enhanced effect of 5F.

Objective: To investigate the high risk factors of occurring the syndrome of cerebral-internal organs in the patients with acute cerebral hemorrhage(ACH).Methods: The serum concentrations of follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),thyroid-stimulating hormone(TSH) and adrenocorticotrophic hormone(ACTH) were measured by electrochemical radiation in acute period of 37 cases with ACH and 24 cases with cerebral infarction, and compared to those of the 30 healthy controls. The correlations among levels of serum FSH,TSH,ACTH and condition of illness, amount of hemorrhage, critical chamber hemorrhage and the displacement of cerebral mid-line structures were observed. Results: The levels of FSH and TSH were significantly lower, and the levels of ACTH were obviously higher in cases with ACH and cerebral infarction than those of healthy volunteers, and their changes in levels were more obvious in patients with ACH than in patients with cerebral infarction (all P
