Objective　To explore the changes and significance of the circulating immunocomplexes(CIC) in patients with chronic iridocyclitis.Methods　We assessed circulating immunocomplexes in peripheral blood of 45 patients with recurrent uveitis and 42 healthy controls by PEG deposition with the biochemical analyzer to obtain levels of CIC different with recurrent uveitis.Results　Levels of CIC were significantly higher in active patients(27.358±6.729)than those in controls(13.459±6.164,P＜0.001) and inactive patients (16.248±6.233,P＜0.001),but patients (inactive) had significantly higher levels than those in controls (P＜0.05).Conclusion　Levels of CIC were found in the groups of active patients with recurrent uveitis (27.358±6.729), but levels of CIC in inactive patients fell. The result of this study suggest that recurrence of uveitis is related to immunocomplexes,and changes in the levels of CIC could be also a measure standard of therapeutic effects.

BACKGROUND:Bone morphogenetic protein 9 is proved to promote the osteogenic differentiation of various kinds of stem cel s, but whether it can induce the osteogenic differentiation of dental fol icle cel s in vitro is yet unclear. OBJECTIVE:To investigate whether bone morphogenetic protein 9 can induce the osteogenic differentiation of rat dental fol icle cel s in vitro. METHODS:Purified rat dental fol icle cel s at passage 3 were transfected with bone morphogenetic protein 9 adenovirus. Then, alkaline phosphatase activity, calcium deposition and expression of osteogenesis-related factors at mRNA and protein levels were detected in the dental fol icle cel s. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:After transfection with bone morphogenetic protein 9, the dental fol icle cel s showed continuously enhanced alkaline phosphatase activities and obviously enhanced calcium deposition. Real-time PCR results demonstrated that the mRNA expressions of alkaline phosphatase, osteocalcin, bone sialoprotein, osteopontin and core binding factor were increased significantly. The western blot assay showed that the expression of osteopontin enhanced in the dental fol icle cel s after transfection with bone morphogenetic protein 9. In summary, bone morphogenetic protein 9 can induce the osteogenic differentiation of dental fol icle cel s.

Objective To observe the hemodynamic changes on right ventricular hypertrophy induced by monocrotaline in rats . Methods Male SD rats were given monocrotaline 60 mg/kg by a single intraperitoneal injection ,the mRNA expression of RV/BW , RVHI and ANF were took as the indicators .Intraperitoneal injection with 10% chloral hydrate was performed ,the artery cannulae and right ventricular catheter were inserted ,and the right ventricle pressure was measured .Results The RVHI and RV/BW were significantly increased in M2W and M4W groups ,compared with vehicle control (P<0 .01) ,and the ANF mRNA expression was significantly increased in both groups .Bp and HR did not change in model groups .RVEDP markedly decreased (P< 0 .01) and RVP ,± dp/dtmax ,t dp/dtmax and Vpm increased (P<0 .001) in M2W groups ;and all parameters increased significantly in M4W groups (P<0 .01) .Conclusion Monocrotaline can induce RVH ,which accompany hemodynamic changes and the systolic and dias‐tolic dysfunction in right ventricle may eventually cause right heart failure .

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for rational use of TCM injection in the clinic. METHODS:The utilization of TCM injections in 34 hospitals from Nanjing area during 2012-2014 was analyzed statistically in respects of consumption sum, DDDs,DDC. The occurrence of ADR induced by TCM injections was also analyzed statistically in the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University. RESULTS:The consumption sum of TCM injections in 34 hospitals from Nanjing area during 2012-2014 increased year by year;top 10 kinds of TCM injections mainly were anti-tumor drugs and cardio-cerebrovascular drugs in 2014,and each of them involved 4 categories and their consumption sum accounted for 46.08% and 32.59%,respectively. Total consumption sum of anti-tumor TCM injections increased slowly,while those of cardio-cerebrovascular drugs,antibiosis and anti-phlogosis increased rapidly. Lentinan injection steadily took up the top in the list of consumption sum and DDDs of single type,its DDC was the lowest and B/A=1.00. In the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University,most of ADR was induced by Xiyanping injection (27 cases,45.00%). CONCLUSIONS:The type of TCM injections keep stable in 34 hospitals from Nanjing area during 2012-2014,mainly involving anti-tumor drugs and cardio-cerebrovascular drugs which were used widely. Clinic should strengthen dialectial therapy close monitoring and attch improtance to the rational use of TCM injections.

OBJECTIVE:To explore the therapeutic effect of Chinese herbal compounds Zhiganle on fatty liver induced by high-cholesterol high fat diet in rats and the action mechanism.METHODS:Wistar rats were randomized into 6 groups:normal group,model group,Dongbao gantai group,ZGL groups(high,middle,and low doses).Except the normal group,the other 5 groups of rats were administered with high-cholesterol high fat diet for 12 weeks.On week 13,the ZGL groups were administered intragastrically with Zhiganle(1.5,3.0,4.5 g?kg-1) and rats in Dongbao gantai group with Dongbao gantai(0.3 g?kg-1) qd for 12 consecutive weeks.The hematological indexes were measured and the pathological change in rats was observed.RESULTS:In ZGL groups,serum levels of total cholesterol(T-CH) and triglyceride(TG) and the MDA level in liver were decreased significantly(P

Objective To analyse the relationship between vascular dementia in senitity and diffuse white matter lucencice.Methods Observing 54 patients older than 60 of diffuse white matter lucencice for three years with clinical methods CT and/or MRI.Diagnosing vascular dementia by MMSE and Hachinski.Results The degree of diffuse white matter lucencice within the 54 patients were 34 cases as first degree,14 cases as second degree, 6 cases as third degree in the first year, 17 cases, 19 cases and 18 cases in the second year restectively, 8 cases, 17 cases and 29 cases in the third year.The 6 cases of group suffer from the vascular dementia in senitity in the first year,13 cases in the second year,33 cases in the third year.The average annual growth was 32%.Conclusion Diffuse white matter lucencice is a critical factor of vascular dementia in senitity. CCN1 is a novel extracellular matrix-associated signaling protein which possesses 381 amino-acid residues to compose 4 distinct structural modules with 38 conserved cysteine residues.This protein has a variety of properties in cardiovascular system,affecting the cellular behaviors such as differentiation,proliferation and migration of vascular endothelial cells,smooth muscle cells and cardiac myocytes,that suggested an essential roles of CCN1 in angiogensis,vascular injury,cardiac development and myocardial infarction.

Objective:To investigate the correlation of serum blood pressure, serum lipid, fasting glucose, 2-h postprandial glucose, fasting insulin and uric acid with abdominal obesity in adolescents. Methods: Altogether 174 high-school students (101 male, 73 female, age range: 17-21 years) were selected from Yangpu District of Shanghai and studied in the body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, blood pressure, serum lipid, fasting glucose, 2h postprandial glucose, fasting insulin and uric acid. Based on BMI and waist circumference, the subjects were divided into Group A (normal weight), B (non-abdominal obesity) and C (abdominal obesity).
