Objective To investigate whether N-methyl-D-aspartate(NMDA) signal pathway is involved in platelet-activating factor(PAF)-induced apoptosis in neurons.Methods Mice cortex neurons were treated by PAF in different dose for 24 hours or pretreated by a PAF receptor antagonist BN52021, an NMDA receptor antagonist MK801 and a nitric oxide synthase(NOS) inhibitor L-NAME for 30 min. Then the neurons were stained by propidium iodide(PI)/calcein AM and the images were taken by a digital camera on a fluorescent microscope. Neuron death ratio(%) was calculated. In the mean time, neuron NOS(nNOS) expression of the cells was detected by Western Blot method, as well as nNOS activity was measured by 3H radioimmunoassay.Results (1)Neuronal death increased after neurons were treated with 0.01, 0.1, 0.3 and 0.6 ?mol/L PAF 24 h. There were signifitantly changed in 0.3 ?mol/L and 0.6?mol/L comparing control. (2)PAF-induced neurotoxicity was prevented not only by BN5021, but also by MK-801 or L-NAME. Objective To discuss clinical effects of transurethral electrovaporization of the prostate(TUVP) for the treatment of large benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH).Methods A total of 126 cases of large BPH were treated with TUVP.Two longitudinal trenches were made at the position of 6 and 12 o'clock,respectively.Then the lateral lobe was retrogradely dissected from the proximal end of the seminal colliculus and was removed.Results The international prostate symptom scores(IPSS) decreased from 28.6?4.5 preoperatively to 10.7?2.6 postoperatively(t=38.661,P=0.000);the quality-of-life scores(QOL) decreased from 5.3?0.7 preoperatively to(2.0?)0.5 postoperatively(t=43.061,P=0.000);the maximum urinary flow rate(Qmax) increased from 5.7?3.6 ml/s preoperatively to 18.2?4.2 ml/s postoperatively(t=-25.365,P=0.000);the resident urine(RU) decreased from 312.4?56.6 ml preoperatively to 32.8?9.2 ml postoperatively(t=54.732,P=0.000).There were significant differences in all these parameters between preoperatively and postoperatively.Threatened transurethral resection syndrome(TURS) occurred during operation in 2 cases.Postoperatively,transient urinary incontinence was observed in 5 cases.Conclusions Transurethral electrovaporization of the prostate for the treatment of large BPH is effective and safe.

Objective To observe the effect of atropine mydriasis, wearing myopia glasses for short or long distance, and massage on preventing and controlling myopia in teenagers and children. Methods A total of 198 myopia cases (involving 393 eyes) were randomized into control group and treatment group. The control group was given eyesight examination after mydriasis with atropine sulfate eye gel and wearing myopia glasses for long distance. The treatment group was given eyesight examination after mydriasis with atropine sulfate eye gel, wearing myopia glasses for short distance, and massage therapy. Eyesight examination was carried out once every 2 months and lasted for one continuous year. The changes of diopter were compared between the two groups. Results ( 1) Of 194 affected eyes from the treatment group, 96 eyes were effective, 68 were stabilized, and the effective rate was 45.5%and stabilizing rate was 35.1%. Of 199 affected eyes from the control group, 3 eyes were effective, 9 were stabilized, and the effective rate was 1.5%and stabilizing rate was 4.5%. The differences of effective and stabilizing rates were significant between the two groups ( P<0.01). ( 2) After treatment, the myopia diopter was increased in the control group ( P<0.01 compared with that before treatment) , and the myopia diopter in the treatment group maintained stable ( P>0.05). The difference of diopter was significant between the two groups (P<0.01). (3) The difference of astigmatism was insignificant in both groups before and after treatment and between the two groups after treatment (P>0.05). Conclusion Mydriasis with atropine sulfate eye gel, wearing myopia glasses for short or long distance, and focal massage therapy show certain preventive effect on myopia in teenagers and children by controlling the development of myopia diopter.

目的探讨肾移植患者家庭支持与生活质量的相关性。方法采用家庭支持自评量表和生活质量自评量表,对门诊65例肾移植术后患者进行问卷调查。结果家庭支持与生活质量呈显著正相关(r=0.807,P<0.001)。结论护理人员在工作中应尽可能调动家庭成员的主观能动性,增加家庭支持,从而提高患者的生活质量。

Objective To study the regulatory effect of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) on endoplasmic reticulum stress in alveolar epithelial cells of rats with acute lung injury (ALI) induced by oleic acid (OA).Methods Seventy-two male Sprague Dawley (SD) rats were equally divided into control group (C group),oleic acid-induced ALI group (OA group),oleic acid-induced ALI with sodium hydrosulfide (NaHS) pretreatment group (OA + NaHS group) and sodium hydrosulfide treatment group (NaHS group).The model of acute lung injury was made by oleic acid intravenous injection in dose of 0.1 mL/kg.NaHS was injected intra-abdominally in dose of 1 ml/kg with concentration of 56 μmol/L 30 min before administration of oleic acid for pretreatment.In control groups,saline was used instead of oleic acid and NaHS in the equivalent volume.Six rats of each group were sacrificed at 2 h,4 h and 6 hours separately after modeling for observing the acute injury of lung tissue.Index of quantitative assessment of histological lung injury (IQA),wet/dry weight ratio (W/D) and H2S level of lung tissues were measured.The endoplasmic reticulum stress markers included glucose-regulated protein 78 (GRP78) and α-subunit of eukaryotic translation initiation factor-2 (elF2α) in lung tissues were measured by immunohistochemical staining and Western blot.Results At the three observation intervals,the IQA score and W/D ratio of lung tissues significantly increased in rats-after OA injected,but significantly decreased in other rats receiving both OA and NaHS.At the three intervals,the level of H2S in lung tissue significantly decreased in rats after OA injected,but significantly increased in other rats receiving both OA and NaHS.GRP78 and elF2α decreased in rats after OA injected,but increased in other rats receiving both OA and NaHS especially at 4 h and 6 h after modeling.Conclusions The findings suggested that H2S could promote the response to alveolar epithelial cell endoplasmic reticulum stress in rats with ALI resulting in attenuating the damage of lung tissue caused by oleic acid.

Objective To understand the relation between smoking and serum uric acid level and to investigate whether the ser-um uric acid has the correlation with the gender,age and smoking history.Methods The data of the gender,age,blood uric acid in1 847 individuals aged 20-80 years with the healthy physical examination and without underlying diseases were performed the statisti-cal analysis.Results With male and female as the research objects,the serum uric acid level of smokers were higher than that of non-smokers and occasional smokers,the difference was statistically significant;the serum uric acid level had no statistically signifi-cant difference between smokers and occasional smokers;the serum uric acid level had no statistically significant difference among non-smoking,occasional smoking and smoking groups for males as the research objects alone;to divide the male subjects into groups according to age,the serum uric acid level of non-smokers,occasional smokers and smokers were not statistically significant among all age groups;serum uric acid level showed the increasing trend with the increase of smoking history,but there was no statistically significant difference.Conclusion The serum uric acid level of smokers is significantly higher than that of non-smokers and occa-sional smokers with male and female as the research objects;the difference in serum uric acid level between smokers and occasional smokers has no statistical significance;excluding the gender factor interference,the serum uric acid level of males is not affected by smoking or age;serum uric acid mean value demonstrates the increasing trend with the increase of smoking history.
