Objective To investigate the effect of combined auricular acupuncture therapy on blood glucose in type 2 diabetic patients.Method Sixty type 2 diabetic patients were randomly allocated to a treatment and a control group, 30 cases each. The control group was intervened by conventional medication, while the treatment group by combined ear point therapy (ear point massage, bloodletting and seed embedding) in addition to the intervention given to the control group. After 3 months treatment, fasting blood glucose, 2-h postprandial blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin were measured in the two groups before and after treatment. Results There were statistically significant pre-/post-treatment differences in the indicators (fasting blood glucose, 2-h postprandial blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin) in the treatment group (P<0.01). There were statistically significant post-treatment differences in the indicators between the treatment and control group (P<0.01).Conclusions Combined auricular acupuncture therapy is an effective way to treat type 2 diabetes. It has a better hypoglycemic effect.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of mammography,3.0T MR and the combination for benign and malignant breast lesions. Methods Sixty-one patients with breast lesion proved by postoperative pathology included 47 malignant cases and 14 benign cases.Imaging indexes were recorded and analyzed for all cases, including TIC type,ADC value and whether the Choline peak was detected on MRS.SPSS 17.0 statistical software package was used for analysis.Chisquare test was used for count data and P<0.05 was considered as statistically significant. Results The accuracy were 45.9% and 62.3% respectively for mammography or MR as a sole method for the diagnosis of benign and malignant breast disease. When combining the two techniques, the diagnostic accordance rate was 80.3%.The rate based on the combination of mammography and MR were higher than on basis of either kind of examination along, with a statistically significant difference (χ2=4.08,P<0.05).Conclusion MR examination was superior to mammography for the diagnosis value of benign and malignant breast lesions. When combining mammography with MR examination,it could not only obviously improve the accuracy of preoperative diagnosis of breast cancer but also provide the theoretical basis for the early diagnosis and the prognosis.

Objective To investigate the effect of moxibustion or acupuncture combined with prokinetic drugs (metoclopramide injection) on the success rate of placing the nasal and intestinal tubes in critically ill patients at bedside. Methods A total of 107 patients underwent enteral nutrition from January 2015 to August 2017 in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Wenzhou Central Hospital in Zhejiang Province were recruited and given bedside manual placement of spiral nasointestinal tube. According to whether the acupuncture or moxibustion combined with the use of the prokinetic drugs in the process of placing the tube, the cases can be divided into three groups: simple prokinetic drugs group (n=23), moxibustion combined with prokinetic drugs group (n=22), acupuncture and moxibustion combined with prokinetic drugs group (n=62). The success rate of catheterization in three groups was analyzed and compared statistically. Results After 72 hours of catheterization, bedside X-ray abdominal radiography showed that the end of the catheter was located behind the pylorus in 81 cases out of the 107 patients. The success rate of catheterization was 75.70%. The unsuccessful patients were given gastroscopy guided nasointestinal tube. The success rate of catheterization was 30.43% in simple prokinetic drugs group, 63.64% in moxibustion combined with prokinetic drugs group, and 96.77% in acupuncture and moxibustion combined with prokinetic drugs group. Comparing the success rate of the catheterization, the difference was statistically significant (χ2=49.75,P<0.01).Conclusions The combination of moxibustion and acupuncture can significantly increasing the success rate of placing the spiral nasointestinal tube, and provide practical benefits for the critically ill patients. This method should be popularized in clinic.

To investigate the effect of electroacupuncture on motor function in hemiplegic patients with spasticity after stroke. Methods 80 patients with Hemiplegia spasticity after stroke were selected and randomly divided into treatment group (n=40) and control group (n=40). All the patients used the same rehabilitation training. The treatment group used Hemiplegia side electroacupuncture therapy. The control group used traditional acupuncture therapy. Before treatment and 8 weeks after treatment, the degree of spasticity was evaluated with the improved Ashworth scale, the simplified FuglMeyer motor function scale (FMA) and the modified Barthel index (MBI) were used to assess motor function and activities of daily living (ADL). Results Before treatment there were no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). After 8 weeks of treatment, the FMA,MBI and mproved Ashworth scale of patients in each group were significantly improved (P<0.01)and (P<0.05)respectively. The improved Ashworth scale,FMA and MBI in the treatment group were better than those in the Control Group (P<0.05). Conclusion Electroacupuncture therapy combined with rehabilitation training on Hemiplegic side is helpful to relieve spasticity and improve the motor function and daily living ability of the patients. The effect is better than traditional acupuncture treament bombined with rehabilitation training.
