Objective To explore the nursing staff' s cognition of barrier, method and technique of nursing-patient communication, to provide reference basis for improving effective nursing-patient communication. Methods 445 nurses sampled randomly from 6 hospitals in Hubei Province were investigated by selfdesigned questionnaire related to nursing-patient communication. Results 87.2% patients had trained about communication according teaching and 26.52% mastered these techniques skillful; 98.88% paid attention to communication with patients and 74.16% believed effective communication was easily attained, but 81.35% ignored it and the influential factors for communication was too busy to operate, and 66.07% nurses held that poor communication was head reason to lead complaint. The higher the title and service year, the deeper the master degree for these nurses, but the younger communicated more frequently with patients(F =4.532,2.891,P < 0.05). Conclusions Nurse should strenthen their communication technique by learning, paying more attention to communicaiont skills and realizing advantage of senior nurses in order to provide effective communication.

Posterior lumbopelvic fixation with iliac screws is the most commonly used method for unstable spinopelvic injuries. It has certain limitations including inability to use distraction along the spinopelvic rod as an indirect reduction maneuver, need for complex 3-dimensional rod contouring and complications such as hardware prominence and soft tissue coverage. In the present case report, we described a surgical technique of lumbopelvic fixation with sacral alar screws for traumatic spinopelvic instability resulted from a unilateral Denis-III comminuted sacral fracture and the L5 burst fracture. On the opposite side of the sacral fracture, caudal screws were implanted into the pedicle of the S1, whereas on the side of sacral fracture, two sacral alar screws were placed parallel to the superior sacral endplate as well as the plane of sacroiliac joint. In addition, horizontal stabilization was conducted with cross-link connections to maintain the longitudinal traction. For sacral fracture associated with traumatic spinopelvic instability, this modified lumbopelvic fixation technique using sacral alar screws makes longitudinal reduction easier, requires less rod contouring, and reduces hardware prominence without compromising the stability.

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of hand hygiene management in the neonatal intensive care unit and find the right way to increase hand hygiene compliance. Methods The intervention measures of hand hygiene were established and video monitor was used to observe different contact ways during 13 months. Results The hand hygiene compliance increased after hand hygiene intervention (from 25.15%pre-intervention to 88.20% post-intervention). The hand hygiene compliance of nursing workers was relatively lower than that of doctors and nurses after intervention (65.94% , 74.72% and 77.02% respectively). In addition, the hand hygiene compliance of nurses and nursing workers on the night shift was lower than that in the day shift. Conclusions The hand hygiene intervention can effectively improve hand hygiene compliance.

The dried stems of Schisandra henryi var. henryi were extracted with 95% ethanol and the extracts were further subjected to partition, affording the ethyl acetate extracts(EtOAc Extrs.).The EtOAc Extrs.were separated and purified with silica gel and octadecyl-silylated silica gel column chromatography, preparative HPLC and preparative TLC. Thirteen known compounds were obtained and identified by spectral methods including MS and NMR, all of which were elucidated as t-cadinol(1), cadinane-4β,5α,10β-triol(2), cadinane-5α, 10α-diol-2-ene(3), oxyphyllenodiols A(4), 1β, 4β-dihydroxyeudesman-11-ene(5), cyperusol C(6), (7R)-opposit-4(15)-ene-1β,7-diol(7), dysodensiol E(8), epi-guaidiol A(9), aromadendrane-4β,10β-diol(10), tricyclohumuladiol(11), caryolane-1,9β-diol(12), and guaidiol A(13). Compounds 3, 5-10, and 13 were separated from the genus for the first time, while compounds 1-13 were separated from this species for the first time.

The fall armyworm (FAW), Spodoptera frugiperda, is a destructive pest native to America and has recently become an invasive insect pest in China. Because of its rapid spread and great risks in China, understanding of FAW genetic background and pesticide resistance is urgent and essential to develop effective management strategies. Here, we assembled a chromosome-level genome of a male FAW (SFynMstLFR) and compared re-sequencing results of the populations from America, Africa, and China. Strain identification of 163 individuals collected from America, Africa and China showed that both C and R strains were found in the American populations, while only C strain was found in the Chinese and African populations. Moreover, population genomics analysis showed that populations from Africa and China have close relationship with significantly genetic differentiation from American populations. Taken together, FAWs invaded into China were most likely originated from Africa. Comparative genomics analysis displayed that the cytochrome p450 gene family is extremely expanded to 425 members in FAW, of which 283 genes are specific to FAW. Treatments of Chinese populations with twenty-three pesticides showed the variant patterns of transcriptome profiles, and several detoxification genes such as AOX, UGT and GST specially responded to the pesticides. These findings will be useful in developing effective strategies for management of FAW in China and other invaded areas.
